The Marigold Manor

A manor is the smallest unit of land in some feudal systems, like the Licorne Empire. Usually has a farm, a village, a horse stud, a woodland, a church land, a common land, etc…

To the small Margaret, the place seemed to be a humongous tropical paradise surrounded by a clear beach with white sands from a side and a jungle filled with sweet fruits from the other, filled with wonderful adventures.

Every day had a new and exciting place to know. Many houses are built using ancient ruins that seemed like pieces of spaceships used as the foundation for the new building.

The whole place was full of weird animals like akarés, which looked like giant quail chickens, who put huge blue eggs, nukurus similar to huge unicorn rabbits and taraxus similar to boar pigs wandered free around the place.

At the entrance of the Manor, it was located the château where they lived and a few houses around a large grassy area that they called the plaza. It had a small playground in front the villa house, with a couple of seesaws, a spinner roundabout, a pole with a rope and a ball and a wooden jungle gym, with a net, a couple of swings and a slider. Around they had spread barns, cute cottages, a mill in a river nearby, and behind the château it was a stud, with weird animals like llamorses that looked like a mix of llamas with horses and tapiras a large species of an enormous docile mix of buffalo and sheep's.

Beyond the studs, there were the crops with canchas between, a formation of six identical two-floor round huts, made of stone. That Margot named the "smurf village" because they looked like mushrooms houses.

They saw a couple of water towers for irrigations, a fishpond were they breed and storage fishes and watermills in the rivers grind kozotos, a kind of giant colored corns, with three feet cobs that had pink, purple and red grains.

Also a brewery to make chichi and tesguino a corn beer, a couple of woods and many places that Gem and Margot still didn't knew.

They went to furnaces were they did ceramic and played with clay.

From the top of the hills, she could see a nearby town in the west, an island with a volcano in the south, and a reddish floating island with a yellowish bottom chained to five hills in the north, and in the east the gorgeous All Blue Sea.

Playing in the beach and eating picnic's was one of her favorites activities, the tropical landscape, the white sand, the crystal clear water where better than she could expect. The place was so clean that in every place she could find seashells, starfish, crabs like creatures and even a couple of species of turtles.

She wasn't the only one. Gem and her mother Jolly Acacia were with them in their explorations and adventures, amazed by the life in the countryside and entertained by Margot reactions, principally when they knew the breeding, of the chapulines, the red grasshoppers, the Issá ants and gongos, the coconut worms that they eat.

Everything that happened Margot noted in her magic book and every person and place appeared in Margot magic book.

The second time she opened her book the girl saw in the presentation there´s a notice: "Daily Quest finished", with the missions to increase 5% of the map. "How I increased the map?" She looked at the map. "Those are all the places I went" The map filled itself where she had been and even get the name of the locations like some videogames, it even looked like old computers.

Among the black are there´s a circle she didn't knew. "Core of Magic."

At night, she noticed something, that wasn't visible in her bedroom, the symbol of a door. One of the walls in her bedroom was smooth and bluish like many of those ruins that remembered science fiction spaceships. All the buildings in the Manor were built around what the map called ruins, hue blue and green huge smooth stones that according with her map had areas inside to discover.

Margot looked around the wall were the map indicate a door and saw a small erasure, almost unnoticeable with a familiar shape. A circle cut by a small line. The "turn me on" symbol.

It was out of reach. She pushed her bed and got up to reach what could be a button. It was a great effort. She tried to exercise to strength her body but her life and stamina bars, never reached the 30%.

After placing her bed, she pushed the symbol and to her surprise she fell in the wall like it become water. A liquid door standing in the wall. Crossing it she found a neon crystal corridor, the air fell lifeless and old, the floor had the texture of glass, it has green lines and while she walked light up inside the walls. She went down a ramp to a big salon, which reminded a control room, with a round table in the middle. many black frames around and in a wall, there was a huge panel from the floor to the ceiling with a figure similar to Mayan calendars made of small hexagon tablets.

The table has the shape of a gear with a hexagon glass in the center surrounded by dozens of small circles, with the size of a cup.

Connected with the table there was two round object with the size of a racquetball, that reminded Margot of a Saturn model. They had four discs filled with symbols and a white dome in the middle.

Margot hold it and started to move around the table, holding the dome turn on something, and after a quick sound, a light appeared in the dome, the glass in the table, together with one of the circles.

Under the glass, was some kind of old dirty diagram that reminded her of a circuit board, with some parts crumbling in a bad state under a reddish light. The circle was some kind of display and an image appeared in the center, a part of the diagram.

Margot pushed the external disk without symbols and something started to happen. The area that appeared in the dome started to be clean in the diagram under the glass.

Touching the dome the area moved like a computer mouse and symbols in the discs blink soon the matched the image of the diagram. Margot started to clean the whole thing until she focused in the red are and everything crumbled soon she pushed the disk.

"What I did now?" Margot pushed some symbols and they made some noises like a mistake, but the ones that matched with the diagram fixed in the dome. "If I'm not wrong this symbol was in the broken part. What happens if I remade the part that was in this area?"

Soon she remade the symbol heard a quick a pleasant sound and the shape slowly started to form in the diagram under the glass. "That´s some kind of puzzle? I think I can fix the other parts."

Slowly the metal was growing and the old parts cleaned, turning of the reddish light. Seeing that thing restored was satisfying. "I can do that all day."

After a while the whole table was in process of being restored, but would take a while to finish. The circle in the table was a display indicating that was consuming something and the time to finish.

Before she left the room, noticed that one of the pieces from the figure in the wall was bright like a led.

In the next night, Margot returned to see if the diagram was rebuild, and found everything off again. After holding the dome to turn on the table and she had a new surprise. There was another old broken diagram under the glass, this time with more broken pieces. She also noticed that a different part of the figure in the wall had a light in it.

After finished her puzzle went to look at the figure in the wall. She pushed a random hexagon and it lit at the same time there was a sound in the table.

She went to see in the table and there was another diagram. After pushing another hexagon, a new one appeared. Each hexagon was a different puzzle. She didn't have to wait until that puzzle was finished and could play how many she wanted.

Pushing random tablets, she discovered that wasn't just diagrams, but also small constructions models she could repair or rebuild. That was a lot of fun.

Every night she played with in her "puzzle" and left the table working before sleeping. Sometimes when bored went in the day to play. To anyone who like puzzle games that was super fun.

Sometimes she could feel that had some small differences in the black frames. But just a schism.

In her map the room was labeled as "puzzle room".
