3 Dumbledore

Back on the first floor I walked over to the massive double doors and injecting my magic into them they swung open revealing the wide yard with the great hall at the end of the grass. I smiled knowing I could finally continue my plan to make a school for Witcher's where kids abandoned with little choice could make a family here at Hogwarts in the house of Wolfsbane.

While coming out of my thoughts I noticed that a ghost began to approach me, the closer she got the more I could recognize her as Helena Ravenclaw. She smiled at me saying "welcome back Wulfric" I smiled at her saying that it was good to be back.

Getting the greetings out of the way I looked around and asked " how long has it been" and Helena responded with over 700 years, gaining a thoughtful look I looked around and asked where all the teachers and students were and she replied that the students were at home due to the war going on and the teachers were called away on urgent business, nodding I Helena about the castle and how the school has fared over the las 700 years I got mixed answers as Helena went through a storm of complaints about certain magic being banned in the British isles and how the ministry of magic started to push into areas other than the statue of secrecy and how they have been eyeing the school like a flock of vultures trying to control what is and is not taught in the curriculum. gaining an idea of the current affairs going on with the school Helena spoke up.

"Are you going to be taking over the school now that your back?"

"no" I replied "I will only be teaching the Witcher curriculum I created and searching for future students."

Helena smiled at that "that's what mother said you would say you" she said "I'm not in a position to be headmaster either I am way out of touch with the world so I will be taking time to acclimate myself to this current time period, I have a lot to learn.

After bidding farewell to Helena, I let my Witcher senses loose and took in my surroundings, I noticed that I was connected the wards and that a lot of them have been damaged or turned off with a few being added to make up for what stopped functioning.

I had an idea why so many were off considering who was in the school 40 years ago and as an heir to Slytherin they would be able to access the wardroom but only have limited control due to my being sealed had stopped tom from gaining full access to them. It would take time to fix a few years depending on how damaged they were and what else he tampered with.

Walking through the halls of the castle memories flittered in my mind of all the fun we had building this place together. I was excited to get to work but had to wait on the headmaster and the teachers to return to the castle and having an eye-opening conversation with them. After having walked through enough of the castle I made my way towards the headmaster's office and came face to face with a statue, after placing my hand on the statue and injecting some magic into it shifted revealing stairs to the headmaster's office. Taking a seat in one of the guest chairs I closed my eyes and waited for the return of Dumbledore.

(Dumbledore POV)

After arriving at the devastating scene of finding James and Lily Potter dead and young Harry I began preparing to keep him in a safe place to keep from being tracked down by the remaining death eaters handing Harry to deputy headmistress McGonagall who then left for the Dursleys, I set off to head back to the castle appearing just outside the entrance only to come to a halt. Gazing at a tower that came out of nowhere. Walking in the expansive field away from the great hall I came up to a large set of double doors that remained shut no matter what I tried to do.

Deciding to leave it for later I made my way to my office, upon arrival my footsteps screeched to a halt as I saw a giant white wolf laying on the floor next to a man sitting in a chair across from my normal sitting position when he turned around, I was staring at an odd cat like amber pair of slitted eyes/

"Headmaster I presume" the man said standing up and offering me his hand, it took a couple seconds for me to come back to myself reaching out to return the handshake. "My name is Wulfric Wolfsbane one of the five founders of Hogwarts". Hearing this my mind came to a screeching halt.

(Wulfric POV)

As the two men continued to shake hands much longer than necessary Wulfric smiled and released Dumbledore's hand and asked if the headmaster would like to sit. After coming to an agreement Wulfric started the conversation by explaining how he was asked to put into stasis for specific reasons. Dumbledore was having a hard time believing everything he was hearing if not for the new tower that sprung up from the ground. When Dumbledore asked what I would do now I brought up my wanting to teach my Witcher course.

"What is a Witcher?" Dumbledore asked. "A Witcher is a made wizard with slight differences here and there" I said. Dumbledore stared for a second and asked what I meant, what I said when I said made. Replying to him I told him that when I was younger, I came up with a method using parts of dark creatures to concoct a potion that would give my body certain qualities making them a little more than human. better vision, strength, speed, tolerance of poison. And the ability to take in poisonous potions for temporary enhancements during combat.

Dumbledore turned quiet, pondering all that I had just told him and asked, "could this method work on muggles and squibs?" I smiled telling him that I used to be a squib and that it could be worked on both but to even qualify for the trial they had have to prepare for up to a year and to be successful is not a sure thing, I told him that I had set up house wolfsbane for the muggles and squibs that successfully passed the trial, going into detail about how I would have to leave the school to hopefully find successful candidates in the following weeks and that depending on the ages of a few they would have to be trained for a few years before undergoing the trial before their first year at Hogwarts.

After answering all of Dumbledore's questions we chatted about his time at Hogwarts and what has happened to the school since my being put to sleep. I learned about the rise and fall of dark wizards in the recent century and telling me about Voldemort dying just that night leaving a few former students dead, we called it a night after a few hours of discussing plans for the coming years at Hogwarts. My tower would remain closed until the first group of Witcher's was ready to start their standard curriculum at Hogwarts. I would have to find a place outside of the school grounds in the muggle world where I could send the future trial takers until their tenth birthday where they would remain within the area of the tower until successfully passing the trial of grasses.
