Chapter 9

"Ok I think you need to explain yourself, what is a lunacha and what does it have to do with me?" Piper asked. "Lunasha" Emma corrected and that's what you are" Emma told her. "OK and why?" Piper asked. "Man you really don't know anything do you" Emma said sarcastically. "I'm part of a clan of Shifters that dates back before even vampires" Emma told her. "We're a small clan but our knowledge of the future was unlike anything ever seen even among witches" Emma said.

"Now for thousands of years there has been one story that has been passed down through the generations" Emma said. "A story?" Elliot Said, closing the door and stepping in front of piper. "Well more like a prophecy I guess but anyway it's said that one day the goddess of the moon selene would bless one of her many children with an impossible child one that would be a piece of her heart but after one impossibility another would soon come because the goddess would throw the world out of balance by sending a piece of her heart down to the world. The prophecy said that the only way to restore the balance would be for a witch, a wolf and a vampire to be combined into one" the girl told them.

"But I'm having twins," Piper said, slightly surprised. "The prophecy had no mention of there being twin tribrids" Emma said. "But it did say that great power would come from him and that his birth will restore the balance" Emma assured.

Elliot turned to Piper, her face still in shock. "Elliot, If what she's saying is true..." Piper trailed off. "Don't go there, Piper," he told her. "We need to confirm this first," he said, turning back to Emma. Edward suddenly walked into the room along with Alice. "What clan did you say you were from?" Edward asked.

Of course they had heard everything. Piper thought to herself. "Oh I'm from the armasha clan" Emma said awkwardly. "The clan that shifts into birds" Alice said surprised. "I thought they were wiped out?" She questioned. "We were but a few of us were able to survive" Emma said.

While they continued to talk, Piper was stuck in her own head. The thought of one of her twins dying. Could that really happen? Perhaps there was a chance what Emma said was wrong, but what if it wasn't? What if Piper really did lose one of her children, would she even be the same? And what would cause its death?

"Piper" Elliot snapped, bringing Piper back to reality. "Sorry what?" Piper asked. "Nothing will happen to either of the babies" Elliot said. "I swear that on my life" he told her. Piper nodded. Elliot was a good brother. He was also the person she was closest to. As a witch growing up with wolves, Piper felt isolated and alone from time to time but Elliot made sure to always be there for her.

When he was around, Piper was never alone.

"I'm gonna go up stairs" piper said before walking up stairs to her room.as she closed the door to her room she took a step back in shock. "Daemon, what are you doing here?" She whispered as she saw daemon sitting on her bed.

Daemon stood up and walked over to her. "I missed you" he said. "I wanted to see how you were doing as well," he added. "I'm fine now" she told him. "I got you something" he said holding out his hand. Piper looked at it. In his hand was a necklace with a crest of a 2 headed snake.

"What is this?" She asked, looking up at him. "A necklace of my family crest with a few spells enchanted into it for the safety of the wearer" he said. "It was my mother's," he added. "A family crest?" Piper questioned. "How old are you?" She asked him. "I was born in the year 1034" he told her. "That would put you at. "990 years old," he said.

Piper took the necklace from daemon and walked over to the Bed, as she sat down she couldn't help but stare at it. "If you're ever in trouble again the necklace will help me find you much quicker" he said sitting down next to her. "It should also protect you from any magical attacks or severe wounds like this previous time" he added. "Do you see this happening to me again?" She asked him.

"The world is a dangerous place, piper" he said, caressing her cheek. "It's unpredictable," he added. "My own brother even became so desperate for power that he took partial control of a girl's mind, was killed and eventually brought back again by the dark magic he used" he told her. "People will do anything for power," he added.

"A girl came here today," Piper told him. "She's from the Armasha Clan" piper said "apparently they have a prophecy that has something to do with one of our babies" piper said. "There was no mention of the other," Piper added.

"I see," Daemon said. "On top of that Sierra is hidden away in the cellar, trapped like a prisoner" piper told him. "Why is that?" he asked. "She can't control her vampire abilities" she told him. "She needs help," she added. "I can help her," he told Piper. "You can?" Piper asked.

"I have been half vampire longer than most," he told her. "Who better than me?" he reassured her. "And about that prophecy..." he trailed off. "I believe that is something that we will have to deal with when it comes to us, what's that saying?" He asked. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it" she said as they both stood up.

"Exactly," he said with a smile. "Now I beg of you to put on that necklace, I must be on my way unfortunately" he told her. Piper looked up at him. "You make it so hard to hate you" she whispered as he kissed her forehead. "I know" he said before he sped out of the room, leaving through the window he had entered from.

Daemon was now in the woods, and he wasn't alone, as he lifted up his right hand, a wolf barely alive hung limp as daemon held him by the throat. "Mind explaining why you were stalking her?" Daemon asked in a deep and annoyed voice.
