Chapter 7

"Why isn't she waking up?" Tyler asked the doctor as their whole family waited outside her hospital room, Edward stood with his mate Alice as their other children Amelia, Elliot, Bella Maria and Thomas peaked into the window of her room. 

It had been 2 days since daemon brought Piper back home. Since daemon saved her. Her injuries were severe with 8 broken ribs. A  broken arm and many lacerations covering the whole of her body. The only thing that kept the children inside her alive was the spell she said before Marcus's continued attacks. 

"As I've said before, a witch may have been able to heal the broken bones and some of the deep lacerations, but what she went through was extremely traumatic. If and when she wakes up is up to her, but I expect it could be anytime" the doctor told them. "Now if you'll excuse me I have other patients" he added before walking away.

"I'm going in there," Bella said. "She needs her rest," Amelia said, grabbing her sister's arm. "She's been unconscious for 2 days. Lia us being in there won't bother her, maybe it'll even help her wake up!" Bella snapped. "Looks like Tom thinks the same" Elliot said pointing to their little brother who was now sitting in the chair next to Piper's bed holding her hand. 

"Cmon sissy, wake up, you promised to play with me and you never did," Thomas said as everyone quietly entered the room. "I'm surprised daemon hasn't come to see her," Amelia said. "He probably knows we wouldn't let him anywhere near her," Tyler said. 

"Who knew so many people could squeeze into this small room so easily?" Kyra said, suddenly appearing in the doorway. "Alpha Kyra, how come you're here?" Alice asked, walking over to her. "I told Piper I would be there for her and it seems I've failed in that" Kyra Said. 

"Is that why your here?" Alice asked. "Among other things" Kyra told her. "After Piper wakes up I think she should come to my pack" Kyra said. "What" Edward said. "Of course I'll leave the choice completely up to her but I believe with my pack my sister's pack and my coven she will be more than safe from those who wish to harm her" Kyra explained. "And what about after the children are born?" Alice asked. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it" Kyra said. 

"I'm pregnant, not weak," Piper suddenly said, causing everyone to turn to her. "You're awake," Alice Said practically running to her. "As I said Piper, the choice is up to you," Kyra said again. "I'll come back later," she added before leaving. "It's been 2 days we were so worried," Maria said, hugging Piper as well. 

"The babies are they OK... and Sierra?" Piper asked. "The babies are fine," Edward told her. "And Sierra?" She asked. Everyone was silent. "Is she dead?" Piper asked, fear filling her voice. "Not completely," Amelia said. "What does that mean?" Piper asked. Alice turned to Maria and Thomas. "Why don't you two go get the doctor to check on Piper," Alice said with a smile. "Ok" Maria said, grabbing Tom's hand and taking him out of the room. 

"Sierra became a vampire," Elliot told her. "What..." Piper said, her eyes wide. "When she was found she was in the process of dying" Edward told her. "We thought she would actually die but it seems Marcus was one of the rare types of vampires that can turn people with venom instead of their own blood" Edward explained. "So my best friend became a vampire... because of me?" Piler asked. "Of course not," Alice said. "It was just something that happened," Alice told her as she moved Piper's hair out of her face.

After that conversation the doctor entered the room and checked on Piper's condition. It was decided that she would spend a few more days in the hospital before going home. 

When Piper finally arrived  back at the pack house the first thought on her mind wasn't settling back in. "Where's Sierra?" Piper asked in a cold tone. "She's down stairs," Eliiot said awkwardly. "I'm going to see her," Piper said. "I don't know if that's a very good Idea right now," Elliot said. "I didn't ask for your opinion, Eli," she said before walking toward the basement door. She then slowly made her way down the steps. 

The basement of the pack house was specially made for all supernatural creatures. It had a multipurpose use, and piper rarely came down here. She entered the first room on the left, not a cell but a room. The door automatically closed behind her. Standing in the back of the room facing a wall she saw Sierra with her long black hair. 

Piper took in a deep breath. "Sierra," Piper said, trying to hide the guilt in her voice. "I can feel everything," Sierra Said. "I can see everything," she continued. "I can even hear things I never thought I would hear," she added. "It's because..." Piper said, pausing for a moment. "It's because you're no longer human," Piper told her. "I know," Sierra said, turning to piper. "I'm... I'm so sorry" piper said, as Elliot suddenly entered the room. "You smell different than him," Sierra said. "Is it because you're a witch and he's a wolf?" Sierra asked. 

"Yeah," Piper Said. Sierra suddenly sped over to Piper and pushed her against a wall. "You smell so good," Sierra said. "Elliot suddenly grabbed Sierra's shoulder and used his wolf strength to throw her across the room. "ELI" Piper snapped as Sierra slowly stood up. "She's a vampire now, she'll be fine" Elliot told her. "She's a Fledgling; she could still be hurt until she learns to control her new powers," Piper said. "She won't learn to control them anytime soon" Elliot said "not if she doesn't get a chance to learn" piper argued before looking at Sierra and back at Elliot. "We have to find a vampire who can teach her to control her power," Piper told him.
