Chapter 5

As expected it wasn't long before the supernatural world discovered that the babies I was carrying may be more than a hybrid.

The past was almost repeating itself. The reactions were the same as how Kyra described them. It was hard to believe her own mother had to go through the ridicule, and face the fact that people wanted her child dead.

It's been 2 months since Piper found out about her pregnancy, she was now approaching the end of her first trimester. She was under constant supervision, or protection, as her father Edward had put it. Piper was tired of it already.

Piper stood up from the couch she laid on and walked to her father's office. She was currently staying in the pack house as they thought it was safer for her. "I can't do this anymore," Piper said to her father, who was doing paperwork. "What?" He asked not even looking at her. "This... I can't be here anymore" she told him. Edward looked up.

"Piper, it's not safe out there," Edward told her. "I'm pregnant, not sick or weak dad, not only am I an adult but I can protect myself" she told him. "The answer is no," he told her. "I wasn't asking," she said before leaving the office.

By the time she got to the front door there were already 2 wolves blocking it. "Are you kidding me?" she asked her father who had followed her out. "I'm just trying to protect you, Piper," he told her again. "I DON'T NEED PROTECTION!" Piper yelled and suddenly a lamp blew up.

It was silent for a moment. "I need some air," she said before turning back to the door. "You really want to end up like that lamp," Piper threatened the two men. They looked at Edward and he gave them a nod then they stepped out of the way, and Piper left the pack house.

"Follow her" Edward told them and they quickly listened. Piper quickly got into her car and started it. Luckily she was able to sneak the keys away from her father while he was doing his paperwork earlier.

Piper quickly put her car in reverse and backed out of the driveway, then put the car into drive and drove off. When she made it into town she parked the car near a park and got out, locking the car as she walked away from it.

"There you are," Sierra said, running up and hugging piper. "How did you manage to get out?" She asked releasing Piper from the hug. "I just walked out," Piper said. "Why didn't you do that a month ago?" Sierra asked. "I didn't think I could," Piper told her.

"It's not like I mind being there, I just... needed some space" piper said as they sat down on a bench. "You're practically a prisoner," Sierra told her.

Suddenly a man walked up to Piper and Sierra and just stood there for a moment. "Are you Piper Green?" The man asked. "Who's asking?" Piper said as she and Sierra stood up. Suddenly he pushed Sierra away then grabbed Piper by the throat lifting her off the ground.

"repelle" piper barely managed to say. The man suddenly let go of Piper as he was pushed away from her. Piper landed on the ground hard but quickly got up and ran to Sierra. "Are you ok?" Piper asked helping Sierra up. "Yeah," Sierra said. Piper turned back to the man who was now slowly standing up. "constringo" piper said and suddenly the man was tied up with chains around his body.

"Come on before he gets out of those," Piper said, grabbing Sierra's hand and pulling her into the woods. "What is he?" Sierra asked as she followed piper. "A vampire from what I can tell," Piper replied. "Quick hide down here" piper said as they climbed into a ditch and hid under a large tree root.

"camouflage nobis," Piper whispered. "What spell is that?" Sierra asked, whispering to piper. "Hopefully it will keep him from smelling us?" Piper whispered. "But we have to be quiet," she added. "I know you're here somewhere" the man's voice suddenly echoed throughout the forest. "You and I both know it's just a matter of time," he continued. His steps getting closer to where they were hiding.

Piper let out a shaky breath. "I can hear your hearts beating," he said. "All 4 of you," he added, getting closer. "Yours, your friends, your children" he continued. "I can even hear how with each second your heart beat becomes faster and faster," he said.

"There you are," he said, suddenly appearing in front of them. Before either of them could react he pulled Piper and Sierra out of the ditch and threw them. The only thing stopping piper was a tree. She couldn't help but let out a scream as she hit it then landed on the ground.

The man walked over to Sierra and picked her up by her throat holding her up in the air. "Perhaps if I kill you your friend won't fight against me anymore" he said to Sierra. Sierra looked down at him, her eyes full of fear. She was just a normal human, she didn't have the power to fight him.

"LET HER GO!" Piper yelled attempting to get up but immediately falling to the ground. Sierra's eyes filled with tears. She knew what was coming. "Please I'll do whatever you want just let her go!" Piper pleaded.

The man carefully put her down but pushed her against a tree. "NOOOO!" Piper screamed as the vampire bit into Sierras neck. After a moment of taking her blood, he let her go and Sierra's body fell to the ground. "SIERRA!" Piper cried out as the man suddenly appeared in front of her. "I'll Kill you!" Piper snapped as she pulled a pocket knife out of her pocket and slashed his chest. The vampire grabbed her by the face and stared directly into her eyes. "Sleep" he said and pipers eyes rolled back and her eyelids closed. Her body went limp and he quickly picked her up and threw her over his Shoulder.
