Chapter 4

Daemon stood on a balcony that overlooks a city along with mountains. His home was old. Almost castle-like with its large exterior. "I see you still continue with your same old habits lord daemon" a man said behind him. "And I see you still enter others homes without permit Colton" daemon replied.

He suddenly looked up. The same crest that had been there his whole life still there. A 2 headed snake. A symbol of rebirth. There was a time when he was just a child when he was unsure how the two headed snake related to him. But after he and his brother Mikail became hybrids he finally began to understand.

"There's a rumor you've fallen for a young witch, my lord it seems those under your command don't like that idea so I have come to pit it to rest" Colton told him. "And what if I have?" Daemon asked, turning to Colton. "What if I have indeed fallen in love with a witch?" He asked again. "Would you kill her?" Daemon asked. "A distraction after all would not be good for your lord now would it?" Daemon continued as he walked over to Colton. "Or perhaps would you attempt to kill me?" He asked, whispering in Coltons ear. "But that is a possibility I highly doubt considering your utter lack of power" he added. "We would of course do nothing. My lord, we are only concerned" Colton told him.

"Take your concern elsewhere and focus on what must be done" daemon said through gritted teeth. "Yes my lord" Colton said before vanishing into thin air.

Suddenly daemon's phone rang, and he quickly answered it. "And here I thought you'd never call," daemon said. "We need to talk," Piper said. "I'm listening," daemon replied. "This is a topic better discussed in person," Piper told him.

"Where would you like to meet?" He asked. "My family's pack house" she told him. "I would be walking into a literal wolf's den," Daemon said. "Are you saying you don't trust me?" She asked him. "Unlike you, I told you all of my secrets" she added. "I trust you more than you know, ''Daemon said. "I'll be there first thing tomorrow" he said before hanging up the phone.

It seemed almost suspicious. He thought. But to him that didn't matter after all even an entire pack of wolves couldn't kill him.

Morning came quickly. He slowly got ready. He was in no rush. Though deep down his anticipation to see piper was the only thing that convinced him to go.

When he arrived at the pack house, wolves in their human form stood protectively in front of Piper, as did her family. "Don't you think this to be a little Much?" Daemon asked.

Piper may have been a witch who was adopted by wolves but she was still apart of the pack. "Actually, I don't think it's enough," Edward, Piper's father, said, stepping forward. Daemon only looked at piper. "You told me to come" he said. "So here I am" he added.

"I'm pregnant," Piper told him. "What" he said as his eyes went wide in shock. Out of all the things he had expected her to say "I'm pregnant" wasn't even close. "Why are you telling me this?" He asked. "It's only right to inform the father isn't it?" She asked him. "I'm the father?" He Questioned still in shock. "I have only ever been with you daemon" she told him.

"It's not possible," Daemon said, looking away from her. "I did what was right and told you if you don't want to be a part of their lives I can't stop you" piper said turning towards the pack house. Suddenly daemon appeared in front of her. "I'm going to be a father," he stated. This time it wasn't a Question. He knew Piper had no reason to lie to him. And he was gonna be there for his children, unlike how his father wasn't there for him or his brother.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" Piper's older sister Amelia yelled, stepping in front of her. "Amelia, I'm not a child, I don't need you to protect me," Piper said. "He's dangerous," Amelia said, turning to piper. "He's a hybrid" piper said. Daemon was shocked to find out that she had figured it out. Not many knew and he preferred it that way.

"If he had wanted to hurt me he would have done it anytime in the multiple months we had seen each other" piper added. "Anyway like I said," Piper said, looking back at daemon. "I thought you should know that I'm keeping them, I don't care what others say" she said before walking past him.

"I think it's time you left" Edward said walking past daemon, following Piper inside the pack house.

Daemon quickly returned to his own home, still in shock at the news he had received. "You returned rather quickly today my lord" Colton said, appearing next to daemon. "I received quite interesting news from piper. News that can't wait to be confirmed" daemon said as he walked up the steps to the second floor.

"What sort of news?" Colton asked. "News that requires a seer to confirm it" daemon told him. "Go ahead and summon Lemera," Daemon told Colton. "Tell her to arrive as quickly as possible," he added. "I doubt this news will stay quiet for long," daemon said.

"How long until you think the council finds out?" Piper asked her father as she sat down on the couch in his office. "Not long, after all I believe they have a witch that can see everything for them" Edward told her.

"Fuck the council" Alice said suddenly. "Mom!" Piper said. "What?" Alice asked. "All they do is judge every choice a pack makes. They even judge witches and vampires, they have no right" Alice said. "I agree they're completely useless," Tyler said. "You know what they don't matter," Piper said. "I've already had 2 seers see the future of the children I'll have and neither seem good" piper said.

"I don't want a future where they will hurt people which means we have to change the future" piper said simply.
