Chapter 2

As Piper and Sierra walked out of the clinic, they both suddenly stopped. "So what now?" Sierra asked. "I'm going home," Piper told her. "Are you gonna tell your family?" Sierra asked. "They're gonna find out sooner or later might as well just get it over with right?" Piper asked as they slowly began to walk back to the car.

"And have you told, what's his name?" Sierra asked "daemon, and no, not yet" piper replied. "But I wouldn't be surprised if he already knows," she added.

"Do you want a ride home?" Piper asked. "No, I think I'm good to walk from here" , Sierra told her. "Alright I'll see you later then" piper said before getting in her car.

When she arrived at her parents house, she sat in the driveway for a minute as she just looked at the house. It seemed quiet from the outside, but even she knew as soon as she walked through the door, chaos would ensue.

Piper got out of her car and walked over to the front door, then slowly opened it. "Mom, I'm home!" Piper said loudly as she closed the door behind her. It was oddly quiet. "Oh Piper I didn't expect you to come home today" her mother said coming out of the living room.

"Where is everyone?" Piper asked. "Hm let me think, your father is at the pack house, Tyler is with him, Amelia and Eliiot are at work, and Bella, Maria and Thomas are at school" she told piper. "Why is something wrong?" Her mother Alice asked, as they walked into the living room.

"Yes and no," Piper told her as she sat down on the couch. "What's wrong?" Alice asked, concerned. Piper looked up at her mother. The woman who had raised her. Piper may have been adopted but Alice and Edward were the only parents she would ever want or have.

"I'm pregnant," Piper said. "And daemon is the father," she admitted. Alice sat down. "Oh sweety," Alice said. "You're sure?" Alice questioned. "Yeah mom," Piper told her. "I'm sure," she added. "Daemon.... where have I heard that name?" Alice questioned to herself. "He's a vampire. I really don't know much other than that," she told her.

"I'm sorry, did you say a vampire!" Alice said, shocked , shooting up from the couch. "Yup," Piper said. "And on top of that it's supposed to be twins," Piper added. Alice suddenly ran out of the room which made Piper sit up in confusion.

When Alice came back into the room she held a piece of paper in her hand. "Here" she said, handing it to piper. "What is this?" Piper asked as she looked at the name number and address written on the paper. "Call her and set up a meeting with her" Alice told her. "I think if anyone can understand what you're about to go through it's her" Alice said.

"Who is she?" Piper asked "she is someone as rare as the children you're about to have" Alice said. "And she's only a few hours away," Alice added. "Alright yeah I'll call her" piper said folding up the piece of paper and putting it in her pocket.

The name on the paper stuck in her head. It was familiar to her. Almost as if she knew it but she couldn't place where from. Piper spent about another hour with her mother before leaving.

When she got back to her apartment which she shared with Sierra, Piper pulled out the piece of paper and her phone and dialed the number.

"HI my name is Piper Green, I'm calling to set up a meeting with the Alpha of the Crescent Pack" she said. "Wait really right now?" She questioned as she listened to the person on the other line. "It'll take me a few hours, is that alright?" Piper asked, wanting to be sure.

"OK, great thank you!" She added before hanging up the phone. Piper put her car back in drive and pulled out of her parking spot. She was glad she had filled up her gas tank that morning.

The Crescent pack was about 2 to 3 hours away. But Piper thought this drive would be worth it. After all, her mother had never once given her bad advice.

2 and a half hours later, Piper made it to the pack house of the Crescent pack. The mansion was just as luxurious as the one her family's pack had.

As Piper walked up the steps, standing outside to greet her was a tall black woman with beautiful long curly hair and purple eyes. "You must be miss Piper Green," the woman said. "My name is Sasha I'll be taking you to meet with the Alpha" Sasha said as she began to lead her inside.

"I didn't think she'd meet with me so quickly after all she doesn't even know my reason for wanting to meet," Piper said as she followed Sasha. "Yes well the Luna of the Redwood pack gave her a call and asked for a favor she called not long before you did actually" Sasha said leading her into the office.

"Just wait here for now, she'll be returning soon from an appointment" Sasha said before leaving Piper alone in the office. Piper began to look around on all the books on the shelves that lined the wall. There were probably hundreds in this room alone. She thought.

"They were my stepfathers," a female voice said from behind her. A very pregnant woman with red hair and light blue eyes entered the office. "Your step father?" Piper questioned. "Yeah he left everything to me including this pack when he died" the woman told her. "Now how can I help you miss green, your mother made it sound almost as if it was an emergency" the woman added. "Oh my, I'm so sorry I didn't even recognize you," Piper said, walking over to her. "You must be the alpha of the pack, Kyra Lewis," Piper said, holding out her hand. "Indeed I am," Kyra said, taking Piper's hand and shaking it.
