Chapter 16

Piper and Daemon finally stood face to face with Serena. Both sides are silent. The demon suddenly tried to run at Serena but was quickly thrown against a tree. "You don't have the power to fight me and win," Serena said simply.

"dura..." "genua flectere" Serena interrupted Piper, the spell forcing her to kneel down. "As I said you don't have the power to fight me and win," Serena told them again. "WHAT IS IT YOU WANT, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?" Piper cried out. "Because I'm bored" Serena said.

"You said you had a trade, what do you want?" Daemon asked. Serena turned her head to look at daemon. "A favor... one that is contracting with a blood seal to ensure it gets done," Serena said. "Then I'll give you back my darling niece" Serena told them.

"I don't believe for a second you're actually my sister," Piper said. "All you need to do is look in the mirror, Piper," Serena told her. "Gold colored eyes run in our family, it shows the world how powerful our bloodline is while showing us things others can not see" Serena added.

"And it seems your darling daughter takes after us in that aspect" Serena said looking down at the baby then looking back up at piper. "It makes me wonder which of your twins will be more powerful," Serena said. "I agree to your terms," Daemon said. "I don't just need you to agree," Serena said, looking at him with a glare. "I need her to agree as well," she said looking back at piper.

"No" piper said coldly. "Then it seems the child stays with me" Serena said. "I wonder what I should name her?" Serena said with a sly smile.

"Fine" piper Said through gritted teeth. "Great" Serena said as an altar suddenly appeared in front of them. "Take the knife and cut your hand then drip the blood into the cauldron" Serena told them. "How very old fashioned of you" piper said. "Old magic is some of the strongest" Serena said. "Piper took the knife from the altar in front of her.

"What happens if we break the trade?" Piper asked, looking down at the knife. "You die and your children become mine," Serena said.

Piper suddenly sliced her hand with the knife then dripped her blood into the cauldron, before tossing the knife to daemon and giving him a look. It was almost as if it was a silent order because without hesitation he cut his hands and dropped blood into the cauldron.

With a puff of smoke the altar disappeared. "What's the favor?" Piper asked. "I'll let you know when I Decide" Serena said before disappearing along with the baby.

"Noooo," Piper yelled. "Dammit I knew we shouldn't have" "Piper" daemon interrupted her. "On a log only a few feet away from them the baby girl lay crying, wrapped in a blanket. "My baby," Piper said, running to her and picking her up.

"How is she?" Daemon asked, walking over to Piper and the still crying baby. "I think she's ok," Piper replied. "Wahhhhh" the baby cried as suddenly the earth began to shake. "What the hell!" Piper said, shocked. "Shhh" daemon said, taking the baby from Piper and bouncing her. As the baby's cries ceased, so did the earthquake.

"How did she do that?" Piper asked. "I don't know," Daemon said. "We don't know anything," Piper replied.

As Serena returned to the coven Amanda stood waiting. "You're the Matriarch yet you're so obviously stupid" Amanda said. Suddenly, Serena raised her arm up and Amanda was thrown against the wall, being held up with Serena's telekinetic power.

"Everything I do is for a reason" Serena said deeply. "Do you really believe that we would have succeeded if we had brought back the girl and gone back for the boy?" Serena questioned. "Even still you could have performed the ceremony" Amanda said differently through heavy breaths.

"Her power is untapped, the only thing that has control over it is her emotions, the Hive never would have been able to push through into her soul or mind" Serena told Amanda. "If we are going to give either of those babies the Hive one day it must be their choice" Serena explained. "I thought you of all people knew this" she added.

"Matriarch?" A young man with blonde hair and blue eyes said entering the room they were in. Serena released Amanda and she fell to the floor as Serena turned to face the young man who was no older than 18.

"What is it dylan?" Serena asked. "We're ready for the next naming ceremony," he told her. "Oh my is the little boy that age already" Serena said. "Let us go," she said, ignoring Amanda who was still on the floor.

Serena entered what appeared to be an altar room. It was large. Large enough to fit the entire coven. In the middle of the room lay a baby sleeping on an altar.

Serena walked up to the altar and grabbed the knife in front of her. The boy's mother and father stood beside her holding out their hands and Serena did not hesitate to cut their palms. "Oh great goddess of magic I beg of thee carry on the family line of magic into this young boy. Allow the magic he was born with to mix with that of his ancestors before him, so his power may grow stronger" Serena said as suddenly little black particles of magic came out of the little boys, parents hands.

It felt like eternity but was actually a split second. The little particles shot into the boy and he began to cry. "The goddess, Hive has granted you son the name Johnathan" Serena told the mother and father. "Thank you Matriarch," the mother said, picking up her baby and walking away.

Serena turned to her coven. "Apart we are strong but together we are stronger" Serena told them. "And soon the coven will become the greatest force this world will ever know... soon not even the hybrids, or the newborn tribrids will stop us" she added.
