Chapter 13

"Hey what's going on down there?" Piper asked, confused. "Nothing, you know just guys being guys," Bella chuckled. "Oh ok" Piper said. As Bella sat down on the bed. "Whatcha doing?" Piper asked. "Just hanging out," Bella said. "Ok you're a horrible liar what's going on?" Piper asked.

Bella let out a sigh. "Since you're so close to giving birth and you really want to give birth in the hospital, we all thought it would be a good idea to take shifts being with you," Bella explained. "I can just call you, you know with my phone," Piper said sarcastically. "Yes but then I wouldn't have an excuse not to study," Bella replied.

"I had a feeling that might be the reason," Piper said. With a barely noticeable sigh Bella was relieved. Piper was right, Bella was a terrible liar. But she managed to lie to Piper at that moment and that was what mattered, after all Piper didn't need anymore stress.

"Where are we going?" Edward asked daemon as he followed him through the woods. "To find out what's going on" daemon said. "And how are we going to do that?" Edward asked. "I know of an undying witch" daemon said as they continued to walk.

"I know her lair is somewhere around here," he added. "I didn't know they still existed," said Edward. "It seems you don't know a lot of things," daemon added. "Why are you here" a female voice suddenly said behind them Daemon and Edward turned to see an older woman who looked to be in her 70s behind them.

"You already know why Amara," daemon said. "What happened?" Daemon asked in a demanding voice. Amara was silent. "How do we get our abilities back?" He asked again. "Everything will return to its natural order in due time" Amara told him. "What the hell does that mean?" Edward asked.

Amara looked at Edward. "When the hybrid witch was born the world was knocked out of order" Amara told them. "The only way to restore the order to its former is for power beyond that of the hybrid witch to enter the world" she continued. "And how do you know that?" Edward asked.

"She's a witch who's lived longer than I have. She knows too much" daemon answered. "You should return before it's too late," Amara told them. "Blood will soon fall from the sky," she said looking up.

10pm came quickly and soon the family was under one roof again. Edward and daemon told them what they had found out though only one person seemed to understand its meaning.

"Whatever's happening has something to do with Piper," Elliot said. "You got that from the nonsense they just told us?" Amelia questioned. "No I just put 2 and 2 together" Elliot retorted. "The fact that all this weird shit started happening right before pipers due date means the twins are probably gonna be born soon" he added.

"What weird shit?" Piper suddenly asked from the stairs. Everyone turned to piper. "What are you doing up your supposed to be resting" Alice said going to her. "Ok I'm not stupid something is obviously going on and I want to know," Piper said. "Piper, you really don't have to worry, everything's fine," Amelia told her.

"No" piper said "everything's not fine, you know it and so do I, and you're all lying to me and..." suddenly piper stopped mid sentence. "Piper what's wrong?" Daemon asked. Piper was silent for a moment, as her face appeared to be shocked. "I think my water just broke," Piper said.

"Ok... Ok we got this" Alice said when suddenly the beta burst in from the kitchen. "Alpha we have a problem" he said quickly "what's happening?" Edward asked. "We're under attack," he said.

"Oh god" piper said as she sat down on the steps. "And with everyone unable to shift casualties may be.... more" said the beta. "What do you mean you are unable to shift?" Piper asked, her voice getting high-pitched. "Make sure everyone has some sort of weapon to keep them as far away from the pack house as possible, their most likely after Piper," Edward said. "Yes alpha" the beta said before pulling out his phone and leaving.

"Tyler, Amelia, Elliot and I will surround the house," Edward said. "What about me?" Bella asked. "I need you in here with your mother for Piper and Maria and Tom," he replied.

"Daemon," Piper said and Daemon ran to her side. "What is it?" He asked, concerned. "Help them," she said in a whisper. "I need to protect you," he told her. "Without my family I am nothing. I am begging... ahhhh.... you to protect them" she told him as her first contraction hit.

Daemon nodded and the 5 of them went and surrounded the house.

It was quiet... too quiet, Edward thought. "That's probably because everyone's asleep, alpha," a woman with red hair and golden eyes suddenly appeared in front of him. "And who the hell are you?" Edward said, pulling out a gun.

"Serena Sinclair," Serena said with a slight smile. "I won't let you near my daughter or her children" Edward said pointing the gun at her. "You won't have a choice," Serena said, pulling out a potion. Suddenly she smashed it at his feet and Edward fell to the ground. "Look at that Amanda even alphas can't fight against wolfsbane when they have no power" Serena said as Amanda walked out of the shadows. "Let's just get this over with," Amanda said.

Serena and Amanda walked into the house unnoticed until daemon ran in behind them. Suddenly Amanda took the knife she had and stabbed him in the chest. "You won't die," she whispered. "I'm sure you'll heal as soon As all of our power comes back" she told him as she pulled the knife out if his chest and daemon fell to the ground.

"DAEMON... AGHHH" piper yelled. As Alice Bella and Maria stepped in front of her who was still on the steps. Serena quickly threw another potion that knocked them out as soon as it hit the ground. Piper let out another scream as the contractions became closer together.

"Don't worry Piper we're here to help you" Serena told her.
