Chapter 10

The summer after first year was.. tiring. I had to call the paramedics to look at the three human boulders at the Dursley house. The doctors recommended exercises and medicines that I had to force down their throats.

Then, there was Dobby. A charming little fella. I had to convince him to stop intercepting my mail. No kind of talks got through to him so I tried the oldest trick in the book. One that even dinosaurs used back when they were alive. That's right. A display of power and strength. I was significantly stronger than anything the elf had ever seen. He immediately surrendered the mail and begged for mercy, which, I gave him quite easily.

I had to apologize to Daphne and Hermione for not responding to their mails and came up with an excuse which they accepted.

Meanwhile, I had created my own farmland at the mysterious place where my fluffies lived. They had grown in numbers. What else would you expect from rabbits? Their numbers were kept in check by my extremely loyal dogs and cats who somehow lived in harmony.

That's a different story altogether.

I grew tons of fruits and vegetables in the farm with the help of hydroponics. Quite a handy technique, that one.

Why did I start a farm? Well, my family back on earth had been in the farming business for generations. It was ingrained in me. It made me feel more connected to the life I had taken.

With the Potter family vaults filled with gold and wealth, I had no real need to earn more money. So, I was planning to do some good for the world. I was sentimental that way. No matter what anyone says, doing something good for someone gives one an incredible rush of dopamine. Something that I enjoyed quite a lot.

That would have to wait. I was just eleven, about to turn twelve. No one in the entire world would ever take me seriously. I had to wait and let time do its magic. Until then, I had planned to simply store the food. How did I protect it from going bad? The same old answer. Magic. Stew in anger all you want. That's the answer you are getting!

For a man who was studying to be a doctor, a few books on magic that were dumbed down to the level of kids was not an issue for me. I had already finished reading whatever books I had.

With my magical education sorted out, my next problem was my non-magical education. I was simply too young to enroll in a University for higher education in Medicine and Engineering.. Also the fact that I couldn't enroll for both fields of study simultaneously.

I had to put my education on hold. A mild inconvenience but nothing to worry about. I had a lot to learn, and not only education. I decided to learn everything I fancied. Musical instruments, martial arts, weapons, blacksmithing, modern weapons and their crafting, cooking, painting, singing and what not.

I went on a shopping spree that would even make a woman tired. Quite a feat, I might add. By the end of the week, my expanded trunk was filled with instruments, utensils, food supplies and blunt weapons that I had Petunia buy for me.

The weapons were useless for me as I had no way for training in them. I knew how to use a staff and batons from the experience Midoriya from my fanfiction had in combat. Other than that, I was not going to train using weapons such as nunchucks. I didn't want to train with the wrong technique.

I could always seek out masters to teach me. Money and power may not get you happiness but it will get you everything else.

Soon, I recieved an owl with a list of books for my second year. Of course, they were all from that infernal degenerate man named Glideroy Lockhart.

I was not going to buy that trash. Hell no! Good that I had bought the books last year. You'd be surprised what people would do for you if you are famous. The clerk at Flourish and Blotts all but humped my leg when I gave him my autograph.

... I was never going to do that again. It was horrifying.

I went to the Diagon Alley on the day of the departure. I had to buy some supplies for potions. It was a wonderful field of study. I remember having a lot fun doing experiments in Chemistry and Biochemistry. If only Snape was a good teacher. He gave me no trouble and I actually enjoyed answering to his questions. He really liked to test to me. I think he also enjoyed it.

Books aren't enough to learn what you want. You also need a capable teacher to explain it. They are more knowledgeable in the subject. I never understood how protagonists in many fanfictions ever managed to do everything on their own, without the need of proper teaching. It was unrealistic even for a fanfiction.

Anyway, I boarded the train and found myself an empty compartment. I was in quite a chipper mood, a rare occurrence and a welcome one.

The door to the compartment opened and in walked Daphne.

"Harry!"

"Oof!"

Yeah.. she slammed into me and gave me a tight hug.

I hugged her back and said, "That's new. Is it puberty? Having mood swings yet? I am dreading the day when my voice begins cracking. I wonder if it'll mess with my spell casting."

She pushed me away and said while slapping my arm, "That's what came to your mind? Me reaching puberty and your voice cracking?"

"Hey, you were the one acting strange!"

"I missed you so I couldn't control myself! Stop being a prat! You know what? I don't want to talk to you anymore!"

She took a seat beside me with huff and looked away. I chuckled and shook my head at her shenanigans.

"What brought this change?"

"I think Hermione is having an effect on me. When she hugged me I thought she was going to snap in half!"

"Heh.. That's her alright."

Speak of the devil and it shall appear. Hermione found the compartment and grabbed us in a bear hug.

"I missed the two of you! So? Are you excited about Professor Loclhart's classes?"

The girls entered thwir own world of the dreamy adonis that Glideroy was. I had to suppress a shiver down my spine. The man was a tool. No! Tools are useful. He was even worse than Sakura.

Yup, I found the greatest insult in the world...

While the girls were busy, I used observation haki to sense for and mouldy smell. You know who I'm talking about! Voldemort who wears moldy shorts! Thus the mouldy smell!

... My jokes are getting childish..

Soon, I found what I was looking for. There he was, hiding in a child's book bag like a disgusting pedophile's hidden camera. Surprisingly, it wasn't Ginny. No, it was a random girl whom I had seen giggling like a lunatic with her friend... for the entire year. Sometimes I felt like they were under a spell. I had tried to undo it in secret, but, like Gai and Rock Lee's sunset genjutsu, their giggling could not be stopped.

Lavender Brown, the girl who fell for Ron Weasley.. Can you believe it?! She fell for that douche!!

The diary was already influencing her. I could sense it, her magic and soul slowly being devoured by the leech.

Preying on children like that... it didn't sit well with me. I had found another reason to end his existence.

The journey felt short as the girls and I had a lot to talk about. It's amazing how time flies when you are with those you cherish.

It was finally the start of my second year at Hogwarts and I was looking forward for all the fun it had in store. I hoped the Gryffindor Quidditch team was ready.

'Should I replace Glideroy's toothpaste with charcoal? Hmm.. food for thought.'
