Gretta was able to spend time with her father and mother when she returned that evening. Almost half of the residents who were dispatched to look for her are now at ease.

And, as promised, Gretta withheld all information about Leon. She is a trustworthy author who has devised a strategy to assuage the public's suspicions.

Gretta's lies are assisted by a large brown bear. One of the hunters present fired a shot that struck the bear's vitals.

So, after walking quite a distance into the forest, the bear suffocated and died, allowing Gretta to escape despite having a wound on her wrist. Some of the bruises on Gretta's arms and forehead also helped her.

Despite the bruises on her forehead from falling while running to the city earlier. While the bruises on her arms appear to be from a hard hit, Leon's brutality forced her to flee this morning.

Gretta had only recently noticed the bruises.

Her normal life continued, and she reconnected with her family and resumed her work as a freelance writer.

Gretta struggled in her room with some books and the computer. She was attempting to concentrate on finishing her novels after leaving it the day before. But no matter how hard she tried, her attention was split. She wrote and then deleted several times.

"What am I doing here?" She muttered as she massaged her brow. She leaned back, her gaze fixed on the ceiling.

Stuck in the world of writing is a common occurrence, and Gretta is no exception. One thing that perplexed her was what was going on in her head, which was unclear but very disturbing. The focus was ruined.

She's not used to being stuck in the early hours of the morning.

Gretta had only recently noticed the bruises.

"What exactly are you? We don't know who you are." Gretta's father, George, interrupted her thoughts.

She was curious as to who George was speaking with. Her mother was in the kitchen, and the noise was coming from the house's terrace.

After several conversations, Gretta decided to leave the room when she heard George's high pitched tone.

When Gretta was leaving the room, Alexa, Gretta's mother, was also in the living room and saw an uninvited guest, which made George angry.

At first glance, a man who appeared to be two or three years Gretta's senior stood before George.

As soon as Gretta left the room, the man noticed her and gave her a faint smile. Gretta moved behind Alexa, annoyed, while George continued to argue with the man.

"I don't need you, old man," the man said harshly as he pushed Gretta's father away.

George's body was pushed against the wooden chair that had been purposefully placed on the terrace, and the man barged in towards Gretta. He violently drew Alexa and pushed her to the ground.

"Hey! What exactly are you doing?!" Gretta began walking towards her mother, but was abruptly stopped by the man.

"You'll come with me," said the man who was dragging Gretta.

George approached them from the house's terrace, took a piece of scrap metal from the house's side, and hit the man from behind. The man managed to dodge and catch the iron from George in the second hit, and he also pulled it until the man fell in front of him.

Gretta, unable to accept her parents' treatment, took her hand and pushed him away from George. She helped her father to his feet. George's massive body staggered but eventually balanced.

Gretta grabbed a vase from the corner of the room and slammed it into the man's head as he got closer. As a result, the man received a tear on his brow. Blood dripped from his brow.

The man was smiling and touching his wound when Alexa attacked him with the same iron that George had used previously. The man drew his claws and stabbed Alexa in the stomach until it penetrated her back.

"Alexa!" Alexa's body was about to fall to the floor when George caught it. Meanwhile, Gretta, who was stunned by what she was witnessing, took a step back.

The vase shards she held fell to the floor with a thud. Her body trembled as she stared at the man.

"Do you remember me now?" the man closer to Gretta inquired.

Gretta realized it was Mat who had attacked Leon the day before. Gretta had no idea the man would follow her all the way to her house and murder her mother right in front of her eyes.

George leaves Alexa, grabbing a rifle from their living room wall, realizing his daughter is in danger. He shot the man in the back of the head.

Mat turned to attack George after sensing an attack from behind him. One more bullet struck Mat in the chest, but it was insufficient to stop the man who had completely transformed into a werewolf.

George fired the last bullet he had before hitting Mat with the buttstock of his rifle.

"Gretta, hurry!" Run!" George yelled at his daughter to get out of there right away. He couldn't keep the werewolf at bay any longer.

Mat smacked George across the face, then repeated the process with Alexa. His claws pierced George's chest, rendering the old man helpless.

With teary eyes, George motioned for Gretta to leave immediately. Leave George alone.

Gretta had to leave the house at some point. As she ran away from the house, she wiped her tears.

Gretta's neighbor came out of the house after hearing the gunshots and approached her. When Mat came out of the house, the majority of the residents screamed. They ran back to their respective houses.

Gretta had accepted her fate; if she had to die today, she would do so.

A resident soon returned to the yard, carrying his rifle. Mat was hit again by the man's shots, followed by other residents with their rifles. The Gretta area is still densely populated by hunters.

Mat was disabled successfully, but it did not respond. The man initially fled into the forest. While Gretta was frozen in front of her house, several residents were still chasing him.

If both of her parents died in front of her eyes, how would she survive?

Gretta was sitting in front of the fireplace, minding her own business. Her mind has gone blank. She didn't move from her seat after her parents' funeral yesterday.

Gretta's pale face was pressed against the fireplace, and the dark circles under her eyes had widened because she couldn't sleep for a second. Gretta's mind kept returning to the image of her father and mother being torn apart in Mat's hands.

Gretta holds herself responsible for what happened to her family. If she hadn't gone to the forest by herself the day before, if she hadn't met Leon, if she hadn't told the truth when she returned to the city.

Gretta is now unable to leave the house; half of the residents believe Gretta was responsible for her parents' deaths because she lied about the werewolves who attacked their town.

Furthermore, there was no guarantee that the werewolves would not attack them again.

Some even suggested that Gretta be expelled from the city because the werewolf was most likely hunting her. It was clear from the fact that the creature only attacked the Gretta family.

"I didn't do anything wrong," Gretta said, crying as she hugged herself again.
