The Battle End Just Like That?

I could hear the cry of men as they bled out on the battle field. Is this what war is, nothing but endless and pointless death? I'm glad I was told the stories of the past war because nothing else could have prepared me more perhaps this war will end soon in peace. I want my family to be safe from all this pain and destruction. I would never forgive myself if my sister had to witness this.

As we charge I can see the old man coming towards me

"Not a bad view from here don't you think?!"

is he mad?

"My daugter would love those flowers over there! I'll have to bring some for her! perhaps I could introduce you to when we're done here!" Yes. this man is mad. "What makes you think the war is ending so soon?" I yell back at him as we disarm another man. He laughs back "Well these two kings just came to the throne, and this war is most likely over something trivial! When we get to the enemy camp I'll ask their general what the king is fighting for!" Although this man may act like a fool, he is incredibley powerful. even after disarming so many soldiers he barely breaks a sweat.

I shudder to think how he was as a young soldier. As we reach the enemy camp I follow him to a tent where he is greeted kindly by a man, whom I asume is the leader, whom serves him some water and starts a conversation. I don't know whether or not this is a war to them or a reunion.

But as predicted the war is over like that. and we all go home within a month. As I pack up my few belongings, I here foot steps behind me. I turn and see the man behind me "Well just as I said its over, and you don't have to see the grusome deaths anymore. Now, would you like to come with me and meet my dear little Lithi? I said I would introduce you to her after the war." A suddenly remember him shouting somehing along those line while in the battle. Perhaps I will go and meet this 'Lithi' I've been hearing of.
