3 Day 3: Grow Old With You

"Adonis! Hurry up! or we will miss the bus!" My beautiful wife named Ava said. We're on our way to her sister's wedding.

"Of course Dear" I replied while smiling. Ava grew a bit impatient that's why she grabbed my hand and then she pulled me so that I'll go faster. I chuckled looking at my cute wife doing her best to pull me.

I walked faster to match her pace, when we got on the bus, Ava took a deep breath as she sat beside me. I laughed as I looked at her. She pouted as she scolded me.

"You, If we missed the bus what would you do?!" she scolded, she was fuming, you can literally see her cheeks reddening. I kissed her cheeks as I said sorry to her and that I'd never do that again.

"You better not do it again," she said as she finally calmed down beside me.

When the bus left the station, I opened the boiled eggs that we bought before we left, I offered her one, but she said that she's full that's why I ate it by myself.

While looking outside the window of the Bus, I looked at Ava to see her nodding off as if she's trying not to fall asleep. I smiled at how cute she looks then I rested her head on my shoulders.

After a while er finally arrived at her home province.

"Ava, Wake up Dear, we're here already" I whispered into her ears. She woke up and then she stood up from her seat. I took our bags and then we went down from the bus.

She stretched her arms when we got down.

"Ava! Adonis!" someone called our names. When we looked towards the source of the voice, we saw Uncle Jose, he then hugged us both and then we hugged him back of course.

"Let's go! Vina is waiting at the house, she's with Paco" he told us as he took some of our luggage, and then he went to his tricycle. We followed him and then when the two of us got in, Uncle Jose started the engine, and then we left the station.

After a while, we arrived at the house, and then a woman came running out of the house.

"Big Sister Ava!" her sister hugged her when Ava and I got down from the Tricycle, Ava also hugged her back.

"Congratulations on your wedding" I extended my hand to Vina after they finished hugging, Vina then shook it as she said thank you.

After we got the bags down from the tricycle, I carried the bags, and then Ava and I went inside.

"Hello, Father" I greeted my father-in-law when we got in. He greeted me back and then he went towards the kitchen to be with my Mother-in-law.

"Is this Paco?" Ava asked, Vina, nodded and the man beside her smiled as he is holding Vina gently.

"Take care of my sister okay? she's really important to us" Ava told him sternly.

"Of course, I love Vina with all my heart" he answered as he looked at Vina tenderly.

I placed my arm towards Ava, and then she held my hand.

"Good luck tomorrow" I teased and we all laughed together. Tomorrow is their wedding after all.

After a while of talking, and when dinner ended, Paco went home to rest, Vina rested early as well, Ava and I sat down for a bit outside.

"Goodness, I never thought I would see the day where my sister is getting married," Ava said as she laughed a bit. I smiled as we cuddled.

"Well at least she found someone who'll stay with her until they're old and gray," I told her while stroking her hair.

"Just like us?" Ava asked as she chuckles.

"Just like us" I repeated her words as we looked at the stars before going to bed.

I always thought that Ava and I would always be together until we're old and gray.

"Dad, what are you thinking of?" Our Daughter, Eva asked as we looked at the picture of her mother.

That's right, the following year, Ava died during childbirth.

"I'm just thinking about something your mom and I talked about in the past," I told her while smiling.

I want to grow old with her...

But it seems faith didn't agree with me...
