Chapter 11: Flashback

"I... don't agree with the Satan Faction. However, since my father supported the Satan Faction, I would have to as well." Grayfia sighed. She knew many more innocents would die if a second Great War had started, the death counts would annihilate all three races: Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels. However, her father and her family supports the Satan Faction, so even if she voiced out her opinions, she would just be ignored or attacked by the Satan Faction.

Tian looked at Grayfia, and smiled "Well I guess I'm stuck with you until the Devil Civil War is over."

Grayfia for some reason felt elated in her heart, but said "You don't have to. I can bring you back to the mortal realm, where you can contact the Church." Although she was reluctant to see him leave, she knew it would be too much of her to ask him to stay.

Tian: "No, no, it's fine. I want to solve this Devil Civil War problem, so people won't continue to die. I also enjoy your company."

Hearing his words, Grayfia felt joy and admiration, then blushed when he said the last part. "Me too."

Grayfia for the first time in her life decided to tease someone "So how would you solve the problem, Mr. Lost My Memory Guy."

In response, Tian strike back, "Oh, I don't know. Perhaps, Ms. Beautiful here can help me find the solution."

Even though Grayfia was practically immune to all flattery words and teasing, she felt embarrassed when Tian teased her.

Cough* "Let's get back to the point. How would you solve the situation?" Grayfia asked with a serious expression.

Tian: "It's obvious that we would have to join the Anti-Satan Faction, but your father and family are supporting the Satan Faction. But your father seems to be reluctant in agreeing with the idea of starting another Great War, right?"

Grayfia nodded.

Tian: "We can convince your father to join the Anti-Satan Faction with the rest of your family."

Grayfia was visibly confused, "How?"

Tian: "If the stalemate is broken and the Anti-Satan Faction slowly overpowers the Satan Faction, it would be easier to convince him to join the Satan Faction since the son of Lucifer, doesn't seem to be interested in the war and he does not like the war to begin with. Therefore, if the Satan Faction show signs of winning, and with you convincing your father, he would join the Satan Faction."

Although the solution Tian proposed was very simple, it might work. However, she knows that her brother, Euclid won't just sit down and watch.

Grayfia: "What about my brother, Euclid? He would try to stop us, if he finds out."

Tian was confused, "You have a brother?"

Grayfia nodded, "He doesn't come home very much because he is always around Rizevim. He is a fanatic Lucifer loyalist and would always fully support Lucifer's ideas such as world domination. I don't think he would join the Satan Faction."

Tian thought for a second and then sighed. "Let's think about convincing your father first."

Based on what Grayfia described of Euclid, it would be very difficult to convince him to join the Anti-Satan Faction. Tian decided to think about it later and focus on convincing her father, Lord Lucifuge.

Tian's stomach suddenly growled followed by seconds of silence. Grayfia who looked at Tian, giggled while he rub the back of his head a bit embarrassed . "Uh, do you have any food?"

Grayfia: "Yes! Let me bring you some food. Wait here, I will be back." As she stood up and walk to the door, she turned around and said with a serious face "Wait, I have forgot to tell you something important. My father and the rest of the Devils don't know that you are here. You shouldn't come out of this room, if anyone finds out, they would most likely try to hunt you down. If anyone comes in, try your best to hide your aura and hide under the bed or somewhere." No one knew that a human was in her room, if anyone finds out, Tian would most likely be hunted down and she didn't want that to happen.

Tian nodded, after all he doesn't want to be chased by a group of devils. Although, he didn't really had a fight before, he mostly had spars with Michael, Uriel, and Raphael. His Chaos Star Dragon Armor seems to be very strong and durable.

As Grayfia walked out the room, he started to remember his first fight with Michael.

Flashback...

Tian's POV

"Michael are you ready?" I asked. It had been weeks after I asked Michael to fight me, but he was really busy all the time. But today was the day. As Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael watched the upcoming fight between me and Raphael. Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel had created this stadium in a few days which surprised me because of how fast they were actually able to build it. The stadium was filled with different type seals and barriers in case the fight becomes very destructive and nasty. As I look at Michael with a grin, Michael just smiled standing there with nothing, as if he was underestimating me. Well, I can't really blame him because I am a human after all (He is part human and part ???. But he doesn't know.). However, I believe that I will win, call it some kind of confidence, but I think it's intuition.

From the side, Gabriel was shouting, "Tian, win this. I know you can beat my brother and I know you won't lose. Tian, go, go, go!". While, Uriel and Raphael also shouted for me to do my best because they thought I would lose to Michael, but I appreciate the cheering. On the other hand, Michael was looking at me with his eyes closed like crescent moon while giving me a big smile with veins popping on his forehead. I knew what he was thinking. He was probably thinking 'Tian, you stole my brothers and sister. I will definitely win' or something similar to that.

After preparing for everything, Michael shouted "Are you ready?", which I replied "Yeah! I'm excited".

Gabriel started the countdown: "Begin the fight in 3! 2! 1! Go!"

As soon as I heard "Go!", I ran towards Michael reaching speeds where I broke the sound barrier. Lunging at him, Michael did not move from his spot, instead he just welcomed my attacks. I threw a jab, he blocked it. After that I threw an upper-cut, which he weaved out of the way. I kept throwing jabs, but he kept either dodging them or deflecting them. After seeing him treat me like that, I decided to increase my speed. "Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!" blurry images of my arms punching back and forth with Michael weaving. After a while, I decided to launch a full 90 degree kick at him, which created shockwaves and crack on the floor. He raised his left arm to block my kick, but I used the momentum of the force to twist my body for a second kick. "BAM!" Like that Michael got hit straight in the face for the first time as he flew and hit the barrier. Uriel and Raphael had shock written on their faces as they didn't expect that but at the same time it felt good to see Michael being beaten by Tian for some reason. Gabriel just cheered, "Tian-kun! Good job! I knew you can beat him!". I just sweatdropped, I only landed a kick, I didn't beat him. Michael came out with no big injuries except for some scratches. "Wow, I got to say I didn't expect that." He praised me. I just looked at him "I want you to take this fight seriously. I want you to use your full power." "Tia-" "NO! I WANT YOU TO USE YOUR FULL POWER, I WANT TO BECOME STRONG!" I shouted with all my might. Michael sighed "Alright. You asked for this." His aura suddenly exploded as his face started to shift to a serious expression. "I hope you can win, Tian." I replied "Of course."

This time, Michael spread his golden wings and flew toward me like an arrow. He summoned a holy light spear and threw it towards me. I dodged but the area damage struck me, as I was launched to the west side of the stadium "BOOM!". Gabriel shouted "Tian-kun!!" as she looked worried.

It didn't really hurt, for some reason in the past year I found out my body was a ton stronger than a mortal's body, my body was comparable to Ultimate-Level beings or even higher. Without waiting for the dust to clear, I ran toward Michael as he quickly formed another spear. As the spear grew closer and closer, I decided to face the spear head on, testing my physical ability. Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel who saw and knew what I was doing, couldn't help but shout "Tian!/Tian-kun!".

I held my palm out. "BOOM!" The spear touched my palm and pierced through a little bit before shattering into particles, while I was launched back again. 'Hmm, it doesn't seem to do much damage to me' my wound began closing at a fast rate. Standing up, the worries of the Seraphs calmed down as I didn't have any injuries. "How?" Michael asked.

"I don't know myself. My physical body is very strong I guess and I am a fast regenerator. Michael, why don't really start the fight? Let's use our trump cards?"

"Okay."

Calling for the Chaos Dragon Armor, the familiar dark shadowy dragon descended passing through the barriers, crashing into me with a blinding light. "ROAR!", my body was covered with armor. Michael also decided to form his spear again, but before he can do that, I dissappeared from my location and appeared once more in front of Michael with my fist greeting his stomach. "BOOM!" Michael's body arched like a bow. At that moment, he looked at me with widen eyes, and spitted out saliva. "Wow! Tian! I never expected you to be this strong, maybe even in my level."

"Haha. I will defeat you."

Michael shook his head and we both disappeared from our position, only to reappear in the center trading blows, creating larger shockwaves, cracking the floor more and more. We both threw our punch. My fist his cheek while his hit my helmet. "BOOM!". I did a backflip as I used the momentum from the attack to launch me forward again. Grabbing his shoulders while he was in mid-air, I delivered a knee to his chin. "BOOM!" This time Michael was spitting a bit blood. "Wow! Tian, you managed to draw blood from me! I am shocked in how strong you are." I just smiled. "MICHAEL! TRY TO USE YOUR MOST POWERFUL ATTACK AGAINST ME, I THINK I CAN HANDLE IT."

"Fine! I have to warn you my attack could wipe out mountains and even islands." Usually Michael would've declined, but the adrenaline caused him to agree with Tian. On the side, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel were all dumbfounded by Tian's power, he had the power that rivaled Michael, the strongest angel in Heaven. But once they heard their declaration, they panicked and summoned their wings. Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel used their powers to enhance the shield, fueling the barrier with more and more energy. Gabriel was extremely mad and scared, "MICHAEL STOP! TIAN YOU TOO! WHY ARE YOU ASKING HIM TO USE HIS STRONGEST POWER? YOU COULD DIE!". Michael just said "He would be alright. His armor is very strong." While I told Gabriel to calm down, "It's okay! I will be fine! Don't worry."

Michael slowly rose from the ground and started condensing a large mass of light in his hand, it was like a miniature sun except it being yellow and white. Tian was a bit nervous since he could feel that the energy of the mass of light was very dangerous. After the ball had condensed, it shrank down to the size of a basketball as he released it.

I could hear Michael whisper:

"The Faith of the World, Heaven's Faith"

(Basically imagine Sirzech's Power of Destruction but white and yellow)

The ball began multiplying in size, devouring everything it touched. I held out both my hands as the ball contacted me. "BOOM!" The ball wasn't able to devour my armor, but it kept trying to. I started to feel pain. Even with my armor on, my muscles were tearing up, I felt the immense pressure that seemed to weigh like mountains pushing me down. The floor was cracking so hard that it looked like a meteor had strucked it. Collapsing in on one of my knees, I started to pushed even harder. My muscles were torn, my skin around my arms peeled off, my interior organs began bleeding. The pressure was too much. "Urgh" Coughing out some blood, my organs were going to rip apart.

Raphael, Uriel, and Michael who woke up from his battle-crazy mode were panicking, "TIAN!!!" Michael tried to come close to help, but I shouted "NO! I GOT THIS!" while spitting more blood. Gabriel on the other hand, was crying, she saw me coughing blood and knew I was severely injured but she couldn't do anything because if she let go of the barrier Heaven might collapse and she knew I didn't want her to help me. She could only silently sob as she felt pain in her heart watching me collapse from the giant mass of light.

My arms felt as if it was slowly grinded up into pieces, but I didn't give up. Giving the biggest battle cry "HUWAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" I started to push back, but the ball continued to push me down. "I can't die. I will win!" using all my might I put my energy into the palm of my hand. Then "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!" the energy collapsed on me, exploding the ground, which looked like a crater from a giant meteor from out of space. Gabriel couldn't watch anymore, as she let go of the barrier since the attack was over. She quickly flew towards Tian with tears streaming down her face.

With the flap of her wings, the dust cleared, there I was in the center lying there with my pieces of my armor broken, my arms broken, and my blood rushing out of my body. I was still breathing as I look at Gabriel, "I won... I WON!". Gabriel didn't look at me, as she cried while healing me. Michael, Uriel, and Raphael also came down. "TIAN! ARE YOU ALRIGHT" They asked. Michael looked at me with a guilty expression "Sorry, Tian! I was not in the right mind-set".

"It's alright", in a few moments my arms were healed but my interiors stilled have to recover.

"Thanks Gabriel-chan" I thanked her.

Gabriel didn't say anything, but only hugged me.

For the following few days, I rested in my house with Gabriel taking care of me and her brothers often visiting me. She would ignore me for a few days: Not talking to me. But she would later hug me and cry about how scared she was and how dangerous it was. Telling me not to do that ever again. In response, I kissed her cheek and hugged her which shocked and embarrassed her but she smiled and accepted.

Although I suffered a lot of damage, I received my large reward: My new discovered power.
