 I climbed the stairs hand in hand with Makai. The excitement was getting to us both. We hadn't been with each other since I started to get sicker. So the last time was the night of our anniversary. It wasn't all that long really, but it felt like forever to me. I guess that I just didn't have the best perspective on time right now. In truth, it was like time was moving in hyper speed and slow motion at the same time. It was a little disconcerting really, but I guess I was used to it by now.
