A Villain's Guide to World Domination

{On break...} Let me begin by telling you how much I hate cliches and Happy ever after's. Cinderella, getting the prince with love at first sight, snow-white, and her Prince with love’s first kiss…who’s gonna tell these fools that real life doesn’t work like that and don't even get me started with the so-called heroes. It's almost like the world is blind, and my four-eyed self(making sure to clean my pair of glasses before putting them back on) is the only human that can see that: Villains are the true masterminds, the ones with the goals, the only people who see the world as it is- an apple for the taking. That's why my motto is: Life is short and I, Ray, should always come FIRST. ********* Unlike the cute facade Ray puts up in front of his mother: the only person he cares about, Ray is anything but cute. He sees the world he lives in a little differently and he intends to change it. Unlike others vying to become heroes, he embraces the villain he knows himself to be and the absolute ruler he hopes to become. In a high-tension world where superhumans exist alongside mutated beasts with powers of their own , there is a huge gap between heroes and villains. Apart from the different grades(F-A) powers are divided into, they are also classified into two main groups. Propensity for good( Hero-like) and Propensity for bad(Villain-like). This means that the power each person can awaken directly affects how they are treated and which organizations and groups they can join. At fifteen, Ray’s life doesn’t go according to how he planned it. Not only is he unable to awaken his powers but caught in the crossfire of a huge battle between a hero and a villain, his life lingers at the brink of death. Just before his soul escapes his body, he gains a death-related system that not only changes his looks and body but also the way people view him. Regardless, Ray doesn’t care. His sole purpose is *world domination* even if he has to bring the world to its knees first. At first, he tries to join hands with a villain organization his father belonged to when he was alive, to take down as many heroes as he can as his powers slowly grow to balance the gap between the two groups. But when he discovers how shallow-minded other villains were to each other and themselves. Almost at the cost of his life, he finds a way to upgrade his system and ventures out on his own, building his army from scratch, using the very souls of the mutated beasts the human race is daily battling to defeat. The meeting

*Somewhere on the topmost floors of the Hero Building in the central Continent*

"Ko...Ko...ko," the sound of someone knocking on the door echoes in a dark and silent room, where five people are seated around a very luxurious table, sat staring at each other as not one of them had any thoughts of speaking first or attending to the door.

That was until a woman's voice decided to lead, breaking the airy silence.

"Come in," she said as the remaining five at the table also turned to look at the door each assessing the red-collared soldier who had just entered the room, backing the vibrant light coming from the corridor he had been in,

With a bang and irrespective of the fact that no one including the soldier who had just entered touched it, the door slammed shut behind him.

"Speak," said the female voice as she continued speaking in an authoritative voice,

"Yes, Madam Glow," said the soldier with a slight bow and in a voice that showed complete reverence.

"According to your instructions, the two bracelets given to me by Hero Seize have been used on five candidates so far for the current batch and they have proved successful. None of them were able to awaken their powers," he said as he continued speaking not daring to lift his head up and look at any of the six superpowers sitting around the table in the eye.

"Hmmmmm and you made sure to give them the temporary No-ability Card that would allow us to track them?"

"Yes, Madam Glow. No mistakes were made," said the soldier feeling a little worried knowing fully well that if there were mistakes then he would immediately pay for it with his life,

"Good. You can leave," said the only female voice who had been speaking since the soldier entered.

"Thank you, Madam Glow," he said with a small smile on his lips dreaming of the rewards he would definitely get for the secret mission given to him by the top heroes of the entire continent.

With a short salute, he turned around, placing his hand on the door handle about to turn it when he slowly began to feel his skin get hot and clammy.

A hot bright light shone where he stood and in less than two seconds, standing where the soldier had been standing was nothing but ashes.

"Really, Incinerate? Is now really a good time to show off? 'Vanish' was meant to handle that, now you've made a mess," said a young and child-like voice whose small silhouette could barely be seen in the dark and poorly lit room the six people were gathered in,

"Give me a break, " Break". I did and I did a pretty good job of it. The cleaners can handle the rest," said another voice gruffly in a manly tone, that came from a large bearded man with a huge statue as all that could be seen was the ease with which he filled the high and wide chair each of them sat on.

"But did we really have to do that?" whispered a soft female voice in a gentle and alluring manner that seemed to grab the attention of the other five sitting around the table the minute she spoke.

A few seconds of silence passed as no one around the table spoke until one person finally did,

"Yes," Vanish" we had to. We need to cover our tracks until all our plans are in place. If people find out any information about what we're doing or it gets leaked, we would be immediately labeled as villains. Moreover, we need to do this for the greater good," said the female voice who had spoken at the beginning and to whom everyone in the room seemed to defer.

"Madam glow is right," said the gruff male voice of the man with the huge statue, speaking the moment the female voice stopped speaking and before anyone else could.

"It's simply a case of sacrificing a few for the good of the many," he said as he continued speaking looking around the room and even at Vanish, almost as if expecting one of them to disagree with him as his eyes finally settled on, an empty chair with a small metallic four-legged robot sitting on the table right in from of the empty chair,

"Aren't you going to say something Mecha? Even "break" who is usually engrossed in the new games you make for him has spoken"

"And you incinerate can't seem to stop talking," Break immediately spoke upon hearing his name lifting his head away from the big rectangular screen in his hand, to look in the direction of the person he was speaking to.

"and don't get me wrong but if your voice was even half as nice as Vanish's own, then you would never see me complain but frankly it's not. Hearing you speak somehow gets on my nerves,"

"Maybe a little heat would do you some good," Incinerate immediately fired back in a slightly louder voice than his usual tone as everyone could clearly see from how warm the temperature of the room they were in suddenly became, how pissed he was.

Before Break could get a word in and make the situation worse, since it was a common occurrence for them to get on each other's nerves and piss each other off, Glow spoke directing the topic to where she wanted it to go,

"I agree with Incinerate," she said stopping whatever argument that was about to break out as she turned to look at the robot sitting on the table with its long spindle-like legs staring at her with two red beady eyes.

"What do you have to say about all, we've said?" Glow asked clearly expecting an answer, confident in her authority to get one.

Soft Clicking noises were then heard from the robot as all the other four people sitting around the table turned to look at it.

"Busy," replied the robot in a clearly automated tone,

"Too busy to care," it said as it continued speaking with confidence facing Glow as he did so all the way from his lab while transmitting his thoughts to the speaking robot, confident in the fact that he was the only one that could speak to glow in such a way.
