6 Power of The Sharingan

Valdis snuck behind the mansion just to catch the main protagonist running after Aria and her bodyguard who were running towards the secluded shed.

'If I remember right, I should show myself right now before they completely reach the shed.'

*Snap!* The group looked behind them when they heard quite audible footsteps nearing them, noticing a hooded figure running after them.

"Tatsumi, slow them down!" The bodyguard shouted while he continued running with Aria towards the shed.

"Whaa-!! Shit!" Tatsumi didn't have much time to complain so he drew his sword and got into his fighting stance with a reluctant expression.

'Just how many of them are here just to kill one wealthy family?!' Tatsumi thought and before he even realized it, Valdis was in front of him, fortunately for him, he was prepared for anything, except...

"Your legs are wide-open-" Valdis said with a relaxed tone before unexpectedly sliding between Tatsumi's legs instead of attacking him.

"-I certainly wouldn't have minded that if you were a woman but..." Valdis added with a mocking tone as he got up and started sprinting towards the bodyguard and Aria.

"Huuh?! Damn it!" Tatsumi cursed, never imagining a "professional assassin" to completely ignore him, he relatively quickly recovered and chased after Valdis.

"Fuck!" *bang* *bang* The bodyguard noticed Valdis chasing after them so he decided to stop to shoot with his firearm.

'I can see it, however...' *swish* A bullet flew past Valdis's neck, lightly nicking him.

Valdis stopped running and the bodyguard also stayed still for a second, observing his enemy. Valdis's physical body had yet to be trained enough to correspond to his Sharingan's abilities.

'I just need to look out for the direction and angle of the muzzle to predict the location of the bullet. I can also observe his index finger, each time I will notice a twitch in the muscles, I will know the moment he will shoot.' A bead of sweat was slowly going down Valdis's temple before he kicked off the ground with a crazy grin. He might have thought of a strategy, however, it was completely another matter to execute it perfectly, just a single mistake could cost him his life.

"If my body can't keep up with the present, I will just have to move one step ahead all the time and be in the future."

"What the hell are mumbling about?!" *bang!* *bang!* The bodyguard shouted and started shooting at Valdis once again, however this time, Valdis was perfectly dodging the bullets while slowly nearing them.

"Fuck, how can he always move out of my aim whenever I am about to shoot?! This is no longer matter of quick reflexes!" The bodyguard cursed while trying to hit him.

'This should be enough, any closer and it could get too dangerous even if I am moving a step ahead plus using the Sharingan with such high concentration drains a lot of my stamina.' Valdis thought and when he dodged the next bullet, he put his hand on the right side of his belt, grasped a small dagger, and swung his arm, releasing the dagger.

The dagger flew extremely quickly, though maybe slightly clumsily, it still found its target and buried itself in the bodyguard's right shoulder blade.

"Ugh!" The bodyguard winced in pain and almost dropped his gun, however, when he recovered from the pain, Valdis was already quite close to him. Fortunately for him, the distance between them still left him some space and time to shoot for the last time.

"Die! ?!" The bodyguard aimed the gun at Valdis's head who in response raised his head, revealing his glowing red eyes staring right into the bodyguard's eyes as if they were staring right into his soul, making him paralyzed for a second, still, a second was more than enough for Valdis who drew his short sword from the back of his belt and beheaded the bodyguard in one swift swing of his weapon. The blood sprayed on the ground and on Valdis's cloak.

*bam* "Aaah!" The headless body fell to the ground, completely scaring Aria who slipped and fell on her butt while she was walking backward.

'Why didn't that guard shoot when he had a time?' By the time Valdis finished the bodyguard, a black-haired girl appeared on the side, observing the situation with a confused look in her eyes.

"..." Without saying anything else, Valdis approached Aria with a bloodied short sword in his hand.

"Wait!" Tatsumi who previously couldn't chase after Valdis due to the danger of catching the bullet in his stead was finally free to go to Aria's side to protect her. He swung his sword at Valdis but his attack was easily evaded and Valdis jumped back to gain some distance between them, letting Tatsumi return to Aria's side.

"I didn't target you since you looked too naive and innocent to be together with this bunch so why are you protecting them?" Valdis asked with a confused tone.

"N...Who is naive?!" Tatsumi shouted with an upset expression, still feeling sore from being scammed.

"You...You swing your sword without conviction, without intent to kill me. You kill to protect somebody...or do you believe you can protect this vile person by subduing me without killing me?" Valdis pointed at him with his index finger and explained with a calm tone before he tightly gripped his short sword.

"?! Wait, what do you mean by vile- ugh!" Tatsumi shouted with a confused expression but before he could finish, a dagger flew at his face which he deflected without much trouble.

"Fine, if you want to solve it with violence, I will comply!" Tatsumi raised his sword and swung it down with much more determination than before.

*Clang* Valdis grasped his sword in both hands and parried Tatsumi's sword, leading its edge along his blade down closer to the ground which required more precision and skill but less strength, and since he had the advantage of Sharingan, he could be as precise as he wanted to be. When Tatsumi wanted to retrieve his sword, Valdis stopped it from going back up with the crossguard of his sword before kicking the pommel, burying the blade of his sword into the ground, essentially also trapping Tatsumi's sword.

"Wha-?!" Before Tatsumi could even respond, the back of the hand clenched in a fist hit his right cheek, knocking him away.

"Ho?" On the side, a blonde woman joined the black-haired girl, it was exactly the same woman who scammed Tatsumi and had a drink with Valdis, however, now she was too busy observing the fight between the two and she could help but exclaim when she saw Valdis's entire counter-attack which happened within a few seconds.

"Mm, he seems inexperienced but all his attacks are precise and almost flawless." The black-haired nodded her head too after hearing the exclamation next to her.

Tatsumi got up from the ground while rubbing his right cheek, he was too careless and lost his sword, now both weapons were next to Valdis's legs.

"Heh..." Valdis chuckled, seeing through him as he noticed Tatsumi look towards the weapons, however instead of taking the swords, Valdis brought both of his legs together, closing a gap between them, and then moved his left arm behind his back and showed the back of his right hand to Tatsumi, challenging him to a fistfight with a smirk on his face.

'I wonder how many Villain Points I will get for humiliating the main protagonist, haha'
