I found myself in the forest, the sound of quiet humming taking over most of the place.

It wasn't normal, that I knew at least. I may have spent most of my time in the concrete jungle that was New York but I at least knew that humming wasn't something that happened naturally in a forest.

But then again it could be some sort of monster.

Though really, that was an off chance. So most likely it was just some random tribe member wandering off.

I wasn't in their vicinity anymore so it would seem like I accidently stumbled upon their hunting spot.

Not that that mattered to me at all, all I needed was data and data I would gather.

I set down one of the hundreds of devices, infusing a bit of my mana to activate it.

It activated and with that it disappeared and a king echoed on my phone.

I continued like that, hundreds of those same devices spread out around the forest, nothing had stopped me.

Yet that humming sound was still there.

"Far out aren't ya lady?" A voice said, coming from the trees.

I looked up, only in time to see him jump from the tree and land on all fours.

It was the tribe leader, the old man standing menacingly in front of me.

I could hear the whistling and humming intensify as he approached.

It was enough throat I actually cringed at the sound.

"Old man… the hell are you doing here?"

"Nothing much," he replied, "just capturing some prey."

With that he licked his lips and started to approach

I sighed as I looked to the sky, pressing a button on my phone.

"Yes?" An irritated female voice came, "do you need something, Lily?"

"Oh nothing much," I said in my sweetest voice which the boss lady must have picked up on.

"Fine just make it look like an accident."

"Great thank you." I cheerily said before approaching the confused old man all the while pressing a button in my phone.

"You see old man, I've been given permission. Which means that you…"

Punctuating my words I punched the air. It distorted around my fist and whistled loudly.

"Have been written off."

I punched out only to see that the old man had dodged.

But not before I grasped his arm and ripped it from his shoulder.

Blood spilled from it and I couldn't help but think that this might be a good meal for Inari.

I licked my lips and my loins grew wet as I thought of him.

Yes this would be a great gift.

But for now I just dropped the limb, the grass stained red from all the blood that was dripping on it.

I frowned at that, weaving my hand in an intricate manner.

A barrier made of runes popped up and collected all of the blood.

It compressed it into a ball and held it in the air.

I nodded and walked forwards. The old man still glaring at me with those defiant eyes.

Even as he still had to hold the stump of a shoulder that I had caused.

He glared at me and I could tell there was something about that glare.

The mana in the air was weaved tight and I found the air feeling more like water than anything.

And with that he pounced, yet I only smirked. My hand snaked out and grasped his chest.

His eyes widening as I took hold of his heart. I squeezed it and ruptured the organ.

My other hand weaving the same spell, draining the blood from his body.

Soon all that was left was the withered husk of the old man.

I heard a ding in the back of my mind but ignored it.

It was probably just informing me that I had gained some EXP nothing much judging by the strength of this old man.

I threw the husk to the ground and walked off.

"Nothing?" The voice asked. The voice was boringly professional. Nothing but an even tone.

"Yep," I said cheerily, "nothing, at least that's what the data shows."

"Ok, send the raw data back to HQ, personally."

"Aww…" I pout, I wanted to stay for a while longer, "fine"

I couldn't disobey orders now could I. No, that would be bad. And I'm not a bad girl.

"Good, the rest will be ordered back in time and a private jet will be sent. Expect to be extracted in approximately two hours."

I nod and affirm his words. Walking back to camp all the while.

It was not long before I found myself near my tent.

Most of my things were in the same spot. Except for the sleeping bag where Inari was sleeping.

I quietly backed everything and put it into two bags.

There wasn't anything else to back so I woke Inari from his sleep and took him into my arms.

"We'll be leaving in a bit… mmkay Inari?"

He nodded and bared his teeth in a smile.

It was so cute that I couldn't help but pinch his cheeks, feeling my heart rage and my cheeks flush red.

"Ah" I say, totally forgetting that I had a gift for him, "Here." I wave my hands and a pool of blood turned into a pill-like thing.

It lands in my hands and turns almost completely solid but still liquid enough that you could squish it.

I felt the ball of blood land in my hands, it was quite squishy and I had fun playing with it for a moment. It also helped to establish even further my childlike nature in Lily's mind.

Then without any more fanfare I put it in my mouth and pop it. The orb of blood let out everything in my mouth and I gulped it down.

It tasted weird, sort of like vegetables but it was a gift so I sucked it up and swallowed all of it.
