5 Class I - C

Tokyo, Japan,

Advanced Nurturing High School,

Colt POV,

Folding one leg over the other, Colt glanced over at the girl sitting beside him with a slightly displeased smile, occurrences like these were par for the course considering he wasn't supposed to be here...but, did they really have to start so soon?

"I have this suspicion you don't like my presence." Arisu Sakayanagi, spoke with a small amused smile on her face, her eyes carrying a hint of pride. She'd called out to him because he stood out like a sore thumb... though, his personality resembled one other individual she'd interacted with.

"Oh really? What gave that away?" Colt wasn't one to mince words, was he expected to be nice and polite because she was someone people simped for? Yeah no, unfortunately Colt didn't think like that.

Arisu giggled, clearly amused by his attitude, "Didn't someone teach you manners?" She took a jab at him, probing just what kind of person he was.

"Ah yes yes, please forgive me." Colt dramatically placed a hand over his heart, holding out his other hand with a mocking smile before clicking his tongue and returning to his previous posture, clearly not interested in conversing with the girl.

"You're forgiven."

"...."

Colt noted that even if he knew it to be, Arisu had a pleasant and relaxed voice, one that might make the average person rather comfortable in her presence though he was also certain that she made it so on purpose.

"Well that's really all the time I got."

Colt stood up, dusting off his clothes a bit before walking with clenched fists, though, it wasn't because he was particularly annoyed or something, it was just the way he walked. Arisu looked at the departing teenager with a contemplative gaze.

"A bit of good will, you'll find behaviour in class to be rather critical."

She offered him a hint, as a test.

From what she saw, unpleasant and unapproachable, seemed to be the raven haired teenager's major characteristics and that was probably where all other suspicions would stop....However, she knew better. There was something more to this, Arisu knew he'd been noting everything she did.... perhaps the unpleasant attitude was an act?

Well, by offering that hint, she could easily judge his capabilities.

If he heeded it, then he was worth noting and if he didn't, then he was no different than the uneducated, ignorant masses one could find just by stepping outside.

With that, Arisu too walked away, albeit slowly as compared to Colt considering she was walking with the help of a cane.

In Class I - C, a somewhat hectic atmosphere had enveloped the class, the niche groups were already forming and idle chatter could be heard all over the classroom, of course there were also the outcasts, hanging around the back seats or ones to the side, trying to avoid attention or hoping for some.. It varied.

In one specific corner of the classroom however, a relatively average sized and broadly built teenager with neck length magenta hair could be seen sitting casually, with his hands in his pockets and a foot on the table to his front.

"Ryuen, what do you think?"

Kakeru Ryuen, the one that would most likely be the head of this class for years to come and while it appeared that he was laidback at the moment, in truth, he was observing every individual present in the room at the moment and noticing certain necessary things. An action that went unnoticed by everyone there.

It seemed that things would continue like this until the teacher arrived....but, they were missing a student... Though his absence had gone completely unnoticed by most.

That is until, the door was roughly opened and said absent student walked in with his bag slung over his shoulder. One thing everyone noticed at that moment was... tall, he was tall, perhaps even taller than Albert Yamada, the tall and bulky dark skinned student standing near Kakeru Ryuen, also fairly attractive.

Running a gaze over the silent students, Colt didn't bother greeting them, instead he walked over to one of tables in the back of the classroom and sat down seriously. He hung his bag from the side of his desk before resting his head on the table, using his arms as temporary replacements for pillows.

An awkward silence enveloped the room, the person who was the cause didn't quite care though, even as a number of estranged and curious gazes landed on him. Still, it was a point to be made that the reaction would be adverse were he an average looking person.

Colt had memorised all their faces in that one glance, not that hard to do considering there were only 25 students in the class, including himself.... Wait a second, the number was 25 in the original too no? Then, it meant that some poor underperforming sod had possibly been refused his seat for Colt instead.

That made him smile slightly.

Some of the students who had noticed him in the Entrance Ceremony were questioning their eyes, the teenager did stand out among his peers after all and earlier, they'd seen him so serious and aggressive. But now, the aggression was lesser by an alarming degree and the 'serious' person was now slacking off waiting for class to begin.

Ryuen looked at the newly arrived student with an apprehensive gaze, the year was just starting and there wasn't much for him to worry about from anyone... Though the magenta haired teenager did prefer that they be under him as soon as possible, and Colt was among those people he wished to command.

Not a few moments later, a man in a suit, presumably the teacher, arrived as well. Holding up a few files in his hand, the man fixed his glasses with his free hand and smiled at the students, "I'm your homeroom teacher, my name is Kazuma Sakagami. Pleased to make your acquaintance." Kazuma wrote his name on the board before once again turning to the students, a wide smile on his face.

They were classed as lower than those B and A but he believed in them, these kids were talented and he would make sure to nurture them properly.... Though, the effort he would put in remained to be seen, what he did know for certain from the student roster was that they definitely did have outstanding capabilities.

With that class had started, the first day of school, a school only for those that stood at the very top of their peers in terms of both intellectual and physical prowess, a school that was akin to a mental battlefield for some and only a tougher than average simple school for others.

Kazuma explained a few of the general rules to the students and most of them did pay attention to him, actual attention. Not the type of attention one would give to a boring subject.

Ryuen glanced at Colt with a small amused smile, the foreign looking teenager was now sitting upright with an emotionless face, seeming as if the empty board to the front had his undivided attention.

At the same time, a girl with short blue hair and purple eyes, sitting right besides Colt, sneaked a glance at him, of course she did, they would be sitting side by side for quite some time to come... Even if Colt himself didn't seem that interested in getting acquainted with her.
