1 Scumbag Men Are Just Not Worth of My Time!

"She has arrived! Arya Ling!" A reporter alerted the other ones that were also waiting for the socialite, Arya Ling, to arrive at X Hotel in Hong Kong.

Before Arya could even step out of her car and hand her keys to the valet parking, the paparazzi were already surrounding her white Porsche.

"Ms. Ling, could you please tell us why Ms. Zhou went to your apartment today?"

"Ms. Ling…"

"Miss Ling is it true that you made Mr. Fu break his engagement with Ms. Zhou?"

"Is it true that you needed to call the police?"

"Did you slept with Mr. Fu and Ms. Zhou caught you both in the act?"

"Are you the other woman in this relationship?"

The paparazzi continued screaming all those fake allegations to Arya. Arya already used to all those fake news did not even bother to quickly get out of the car to clear her name. Philip Fu had tried to woo her in one of the parties she had attended, but Arya had her dignity, and she did not mess with married or engaged men. She had been clear to Philip that she had no interest in him, but the playboy still sent her lavish gifts, which may have been one of the reasons that fueled more the theory that Arya was the other woman.

"Ugh… seriously what kind of troubles had this stupid man brought unto me!" Arya muttered as she made sure her makeup was intact.

"Well, let the show begin!" Arya was already giving her best smile as she stepped out of the car in her black Chanel minidress and white Louboutin heels. Strands of black hair fell to her face as she stepped out. She then put those strands behind her ear as addressed the paparazzi that have not stopped asking her questions.

"Dear reporters," She then gave them a smile that showed her perfectly white teeth, "I think there has been a misunderstanding."

This made the paparazzi shut down for a second. Arya already knew that they were ready to twist her words, just to make some money or fake story out of her.

"How can I be the other woman when I clearly told Philip Fu that I'm not interested in him?" Arya then crossed her arms across her chest, "Helen Zhou did come to my apartment this morning. I did not call the police. We had a very civil conversation. She left my apartment almost right away."

Then a female reporter asked Arya, "Ms. Ling, what were you talking with Ms. Zhou?"

Arya scanned the woman. The first rule to surviving as a socialite was to be able to read body language. The reporter in front of her was clearly one of those Hong Kong girls that spent all her income on expensive clothes and wished to marry into a rich family. Arya hated this kind of gold diggers, they especially preyed on socialites like her, so they could look like innocent and naïve women. What a fake!

"I don't think it is adequate for me to tell the world what I spoke with Ms. Zhou. What I can assure you, is that Ms. Zhou and I are on very good terms. If you have any more questions, I think you should ask Mr. Fu and not my person."

Arya then walked towards the hotel entrance and handed the car keys to the valet parking. The chaos continued, and the paparazzi started taking pictures of her again and bombarding her with questions.

"Welcome Ms. Ling," one of the receptionists at the lobby said.

"Sorry for all this ruckus. Could you make sure none of them enters the hotel? It will look bad if they appear at the charity brunch. After all, the focus of the brunch should be on charity and not on me."

"Yes, Ms. Ling. Don't worry about it. Our hotel has a strict policy about the entrance of paparazzi."

Arya then gave the receptionist one last smile before departing to the elevator. Philip Fu was clearly the one making all those rumors.

"What a cheap man, he is!" Arya thought as she stepped inside the elevator and pressed the floor to the balcony where the brunch was being held. Her thoughts drifted to what had happened this morning with Helen Zhou.

Today in the morning, Arya had just finished her daily workout and was getting prepared for the brunch, when Helen Zhou had stormed into her apartment demanding an explanation on why Philip Fu had broken off the engagement to her. To Arya's luck, she had kept the text messages Philip had sent her, and inside them, Arya had clearly stated that if Philip did not stop harassing her, she would put a restriction order on him. After that, Arya told Helen that she should value herself more and that at least she knew what kind of scumbag Philip Fu was.

"I really thought he loved me! I've wasted seven years of my life to be with him! Why couldn't you just be the one trying to break us off? Then, I wouldn't need to face how I have been cheated all this time." Helen was totally heartbroken now that the truth was out.

Arya had no patience. She needed to get ready for the brunch and she had a woman who was clearly not her business weeping on her floor.

"Please stand up, Ms. Zhou. There is no need to cry for such a scumbag. At least you didn't waste your whole life on him. You are still pretty; you will get a man worthy of you soon."

Helen Zhou then hugged and cried a bit more in Arya's shoulder, leaving tear stains and snot on her shoulder.

"I'm going to need to take a shower again," Arya thought, "Now, stand up. I will book you a spa day at the best Spa Center in Hong Kong."

Helen then hugged her harder, "Thank you."

After a few more minutes, Arya finally sent Helen off.

"Whew, finally," Arya muttered. As she finished preparing herself for the brunch where her life was going to completely change.
