1 Hazel

I was wandering in my garden admiring all the flowers I had grown in the past few months. The garden had red and pink roses, daisies, tulips, and many other kinds of flowers. My thoughts wandered on their own through my head. My cat, Lulu, was lying in the sunset on the picnic table, which stood in the middle of the garden. Everything was lovely to see, until some dark clouds appeared in the sky. "Come on, Lulu, let's get inside. I think it's gonna rain, and I know you hate getting wet. Besides, you've had enough sunshine for today." Lulu didn't want to come inside. She can be such a diva sometimes.

When I picked her up from the picnic table, she started purring, but when I put her down again, she just wouldn't walk further. So I picked her up again and headed towards the door, but I hadn't even set one step when I heard the gate, so I turned around, but I didn't see anybody. Maybe I didn't close it good enough a few minutes ago, so the wind closed it, but when I wanted to walk further, I heard the same noise and I was sure the gate was closed this time. It scared me a little, but not very much, because it happened more often before.

You gotta know that my garden lines up with a dark, creepy forest. At night, I hear many noises coming from the woods, but after a few years living here, I got used to it, and I could sleep in peace. I got the house for just a little money because nobody wanted to live here. Now I know why. Sometimes, it seems like the forest is haunted or something. I didn't go back to check the gate, but I did go inside together with Lulu to turn on the protective shield I managed to put over my house. That way, I knew I wouldn't be bothered by creepy noises or weird creatures. The shield wasn't only above my house, but it surrounded the entire garden as well. It doesn't keep out the rain and other normal stuff, but it does keep out all the magical stuff.
