8 Good Mood

The three of them looked at each other. Fred couldn't believe how calm these two were. In all his years of practicing medicine with Xavier, this was the first time he'd seen him so intimate publicly. Fred felt embarrassed for having witnessed this.

Xavier ignored his cardiologist friend and looked at Ella, he ran his fingers through her hair as if to fix it for her. Fred looked on, speechless as he thought 'he really feels no shame? I thought they'd be embarrassed to be caught in such a compromising position.'

Finally Fred spoke "have you two no shame? Making out in a hospital while others fight for their lives!" He felt aggrieved. "You'd think you walked in on us having sex judging by your reaction" retorted Ella.

Ella looked up at Xavier lovingly and longingly while she ran her hand on his left cheek and said "isn't that right hubby?" Xavier who was already on the verge of

punching Fred in the face for interrupting his kiss with Ella returned Ella's loving look and answer "that's right my love".

"I don't even know what Xavier sees in you. You're so shameless unlike other women. Any other women would've hidden their face after that" said Fred grumpily.

"What's there to be ashamed of? It's only a matter of days before I'm officially Mrs Xavier McCann. What about you, with your thick-skin watching others kiss. Perve." Replied Ella.

Fred could've spewed blood from anger 'look at this girl she's already taken my friend's kiss, yet has the nerve to call me a perve!' Thought Fred. He already did not like Ella for the way she'd been treating his friend.

Ella looked at Xavier "Baby, did you hear this perve, he just insulted me. You should fire him, so I don't have to see his ugly face every time I visit you." She said sweetly.

'This woman dares to insult me, it's her fortitude I don't beat women, otherwise I'd beat some sense into her!' Thought Fred angrily. He just couldn't believe his misfortune to run into this stupid woman and be insulted by her.

The whole time Xavier's eyes never left Ella, he replied "whatever you say baby." Fred could've fainted from anger, he had a belly full of it and no where to vent.

Ella looked back at Fred who couldn't control his level of anger and said sweetly "Since I'm in a good mood and he is a bit helpful to your workload, you should keep him around. I'll forgive him this once! You should probably leave while I'm still in a forgiving mood."

Never had Fred encountered such a shameless and spoilt brat as this young miss. He was angry and he wasn't going to wait for anymore insults. He glared at Ella in anger and stormed off.

She sighed and said "one day you will have to tell me how you're friends with such a pervert." Xavier laughed, it was a carefree laugh. Ella's heart hitched and that warm and fuzzy feeling spreading all over her body again.

"Baby, if you keep laughing and smiling this, especially in public I'm afraid other women will see your smile and fall in love you." Pouted Ella. "You're the only person who makes me smile and laugh like this, I'll only do it in front you" continued to laugh Xavier. "Baby, you're the best" gushed Ella as she looked at Xavier.

"But baby, on a serious note, at some point after tomorrow and before our wedding you must have Maria kidnapped. I'm afraid of what she will do if left unguarded." Said Ella after a moment of thought. Xavier could see the changes in her face. He wracked his brain as to what could've happened to make Ella so hyper vigilant around Maria. He thought better than to ask, because he believed when she's ready she would tell him.

"Alright baby, don't worry." He said with conviction.

Ella pushed up to stand from his lap and said "okay, I have to go now."

Xavier tightened his hands around her waist.

Ella looked at Xavier confused and asked, "what happened?"

"Just 5 more minutes, please." He replied hugging her tighter and placing his nose on the crook of her nose. Ella resigned herself to her faith and remained seated while hugging back. A smile played on her lips.

After 5 minutes, Xavier released his hold after kissing the top of her head. "Please be careful on your way, and let me know when you get home ok." He said. "Ok baby, I will!" Replied Ella giving him a peck on the cheek.

As she approached the hospital lobby to the exit, Drea blocked her way.

"What's the matter?" She asked, confused.

"Mrs McCann, I did not know that you're our good doctor's fiancé, and so I behaved rudely. I sincerely apologise." Said Drea with teary eyes.

Ella knew, the poor girl thought she was shooting away a third party. That it was unfair to take her frustrations out on the receptionist as she was deceived by her sister.

She smiled at the receptionist and said "It's alright, it wasn't your fault. I've already forgiven you! Also I like you're smartness." Ella only praised her brains because the girl had referred to her as Mrs McCann.

Drea smiled through her tears and thanked Ella. Drea felt that Ella was genuine and she couldn't help but compare her to Maria. Not only was Ella beautiful outside but she was also kind and did not act haughty. Instantly Drea vowed to chase away any third parties trying to break them up.

"Say, what is your name?" Drea heard Ella ask. "Drea, my name is Drea." She said extending her hand towards Ella. "Ok, Drea, I'm Ella. Nice to meet you. I'll depend on you to help me in the future. Here's my number, call me at anytime there's an issue with Xavier." Ella returned the handshake with a smile.

"If anyone tries to seduce my fiancé, please tell me." Said Ella.

Drea understood that her mission from now on to keep these two love birds together. She was now officially Mrs. McCann's spy. Drea was happy that Ella could give her trust to her and she took this mission with great importance.
