'Hide and seek with the ghost of a little girl...Not what I had in mind.' Lucius thought with a sullen nod of his head as he rose from his kneeling position.

In a small flash of blue Lucius cast his spell, and a blue mist lead him to a small dirt path behind the house. The path, with a trickling layer of snow on it's edges, was hidden by the dark shroud of night fighting against the push of Lucius white flame engulfed hand.

His feet making no noise as he stepped onto the path, passing by a simple stone cairn as a small coffin dug up came into view. A pair of dim orange eyes shining through past the tree line.

"Come on out then..." Lucius blankly spoke into the night's chilling air. "I can see your eyes, you s'wit." He insulted the lurking creature with a sharp glance into the dusted white foliage.

A hooded women slowly crept out the bushes. Her mouth set in a permanent snarl as she hissed at the bored Lucius.

"Leave!" The vampire's shrill voice reached Lucius's ears.

Lucius simple walked towards the now faltering vampire, his gloved left hand shining a dim orange as the woman's neck was forced into his firm grip.

"You the one that burnt the house?" His piercing gaze along with his grip made her squirm and scratch at his skin.

His razor sharp gauntlet pushing into her side, drawing blood through her black robe.

"Y-yyes~" She croaked out as loud footsteps came up behind Lucius.

"Laelette!" A mans voice shouted over the wind causing Lucius to turn his head to the side, letting the vampire cut a small line onto his jaw.

"Tsk." Lucius deftly thrust his hand into the vampires chest, ripping through her heart.

"Ysmir's beard she's a vampire!" The man called.

"Yeah, no shit. What'd do you want?" Lucius grumpily asked, healing his small wound.

"S-she was my wife. Said she went off to join the Stormcloaks." The man muttered.

'And he let her?" The elf mused.

"You seem fairly calm with the fact I just ripped out her heart..." Lucius drawled out. "Did you notice anything strange before she left?"

"She began to spend a lot of time with Alva. Yet just a week before, she despised her. In fact, the night she disappeared, she was supposed to meet Alva. Alva told me later that she never showed up. I never got to tell her good bye." He responded, lifelessly staring at the corpse.

"There goes Alva again. Where does she live?" Lucius flatly said, getting tired of this flimsy plot.

"You think Alva...but that means... By the gods! You think Alva is a vampire? No! You're wrong. You must be wrong. Laelette may have met her fate out in the marsh. I refuse to believe Alva had anything to do with this. There is no way you can prove it to the Jarl!" The man defensively barked.

'Ah~ I guess that's why he doesn't care that I just killed his wife... Cunt.' Lucius held back a sneer.

"Just point me to her house." Lucius demanded. "Actually never mind." He dismissed as he grabbed the fallen woman's head and received his desired knowledge.

Under the moonlit night, the small bits of nature are clothed in the shining silvery robes of the lunar rays. The wooden homes of Morthal gleam in a cheerful mirth. The staunch smell of the swamp hanging on the cold night air, the vines swaying to the tune of serene and gentle wind, the old oaks moaning into the breeze providing an eerie tenor for Lucius's sensitive ears, as he knocked on the wooden door in front of him.

"Well, aren't you the handsome one...You and I should spend some time together." A sultry voice reached Lucius as he the door opened.

"Should we? What about your new friend?" Lucius lazily smiled with a small dip of his head.

"Forget about Hroggar. He's always so tired lately. I need someone with a little...Hmm, 'fire' in their blood." Alva hushed as she slipped past him, gently brushing her fingers over his arm.

Alva's potent scent made Lucius's blood run hot. Under his mesmerising gaze of silver and red, she licked her bottom lip unconsciously, her pupils dilating.

"People say you shouldn't play with fire, lest you get burned." Lucius's steely gaze pierced straight through her facade.

Alva's cold veins stung under his gaze, he couldn't possibly know what happened. But why was he here? She hastily retracted her fingers that were so eager to touch that fire earlier, and took a short breath before looking him in the eye.

"Why are you here?" Alva whispered, her mask slightly cracking.

"I think you know why, people talk about... things." He replied.

"Things like me?" She smirked.

"Things like you killing children?" He said, dropping his smile. "They say Hroggar burned down his house for you."

"Do they? How delightful! I'm lucky to have a man that is so devoted to me." Alva's smirked deepened. "I hear you put Laelette out of her misery."

"Huuh~ So, you the master or just another pet?" Lucius sighed and leaned on the doorway a small glow on his ringed hand building.

Alva shot forward, murder in her eyes, before the dim glow blew up from Lucius's ring in a quick black flash and threw her against the wall.

"Pet it is." He muttered, walking in.

"Alva!" A man shrieked in concern. "How dare you hurt her!"

"Oh shut up." Lucius shot a calm spell at the clearly bewitched man and watched him fall to the floor. "Are you gonna spill or should I just kill you now?" Lucius knelt down, grabbing a handful of the vampires hair.

"J-journal." She spluttered out with blood flooding out her nose, pointing towards an open book on the table.

Lucius dropped her back to the floor and went over to the book.

'My life is dreary. Where is my prince come to rescue me? Where is my bold Nord warrior to sweep me off my feet?

I met a man today when picking night flowers. He is exciting and exotic. We kissed in the moonlight. It was so romantic. I'm going to see him again tonight.

Now I understand the true colours of the night. Movarth has shown me the true black of night and the true red of blood. He has promised me a feast of blood if I do his bidding in Morthal.

Hroggar was easy to seduce. Movarth said I should find a protector first, someone to watch over my coffin during the day. Hroggar is perfect.

Laelette came to visit me tonight. She slaked my thirst. I've hidden her away to let her rise as my handmaiden. I've spread the rumour in town that she left to join the war. Fools.

Movarth has confided his grand plan to me. I am to seduce the guardsman one at a time and make them my slaves. Then he and the others from the coven can descend upon Morthal and take the entire town. We won't kill them. They will become cattle for our thirst. An endless supply of blood and an entire town to protect us from the cursed sun.

Hroggar's family is becoming inconvenient. I've told Laelette to kill them all, but make it look like an accident. Hroggar must be seen as innocent if he is going to be my protector.'

Lucius calmly drew his sword, resting it on Alva's neck as he turned the page.

'That little fool! Laelette burned Hroggar's family alive. I asked for an accident and she gave me a scandal. To make matters worse, she tried to turn his little girl, Helgi. Except Laelette couldn't even get that right. She killed the child and left the body to burn.

Something is wrong with her. She keeps talking about Helgi. I think her mind has snapped. She seems to think that the child can still be brought back to be her companion.'

Another page turned.

'There is a stranger in town, looking into the fire. I'll have to be caref-.' The writing was cut short, the ink still wet.

"Gods, you're a sad little fuck, huh?" Lucius mocked. "You wanted a prince and settled for a monster, haha. This 'plan' is awful, and Movarth? Is he a fan of 'Immortal blood' by chance? Hahaha!" Lucius burst out in laughter while holding his stomach.

"Shut up, you worm! You don't know anything about his greatness!" Alva growled as she writhed against his blade.

"Okay, okay." Lucius wiped his tears before pocketing the journal. "Show me to the lair then" He demanded, a small smile still tugging at his lips as he pull her to her feet and pushed her out the house.
