Attic Room!?

"Dragonborn-

I need to speak to you. Urgently.

Rent the attic room at the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood, and I'll meet you.

-A friend."

"I'm gonna kill a bitch." Ciri muttered with cold eyes after reading the letter, throwing it to Lucius.

The note was hastily written and a single blond lock of hair rested neatly on the note's fold.

"What kind of cunt pulls a stunt like this! We just waded through necromancers, skeletons, draugr, some weird puzzle sprint, and more giant fucking spiders! Yet they have the gall to ask for a friendly meeting!" Lucius roared. "Why?!" He cried out.

"We have to go, don't we?" Ciri begrudgingly asked. "Just for some old man's horn."

"We have a great opportunity to beat the shit out of them though." Lucius happily sang trying to staying positive. "And i got test my ring on the dead." He attempted a small smile, but couldn't pull it off.

"Yeah!" Ciri caught a fist. "Let's go." She said with a sweet smile.

"Wait a moment, how in Oblivion did they even get down here?"

.

.

Birds chirped on a small lumber mill. The beating of running water bounced of the wooden beams that created an atmosphere of serene comfort.

Amidst the calm and mundane lives of the common inhabitant of Riverwood two figures walked past the mouth of the lively hamlet.

"So, this is the sleeping giant." Ciri said to Lucius as they stopped in front of a fairly sized inn.

"The person who left the note is blond. Keep an eye out." Lucius said, opening the door for Ciri.

"The strand?" She asked after thanking him.

He nodded with a hum and followed her in the cozy inn.

"I just stoked the fire, come have a drink." A woman tending to tables chimed.

Lucius approached her, eyeing her hair.

"Attic room, really?" Lucius mocked, crossing his arms.

"So you're the Dragonborn I've been hearing so much about. I think you're looking for this. We need to talk. Follow me." The woman demanded, handing over the horn.

"Yeah~ no. I'd start with an apology, bitch." Ciri spoke up, staring daggers at the woman.

"Good point. Ever heard of a courier? You twat." Lucius poked.

"Can we just talk privately." The woman looked a bit shocked.

Ciri started tapping her foot.

Lucius raised a brow.

A long silence stretched.

"Fine, i'm sorry. Now, can we talk before more people start looking at us?" She said.

"Sure!" Ciri beamed walking into the master bedroom of the inn.

The woman followed after the duo with a low huff, and shut the door.

"Follow me." The woman said, opening up her wardrobe down to a hidden room.

"I'd start explaining if i were you, and fast. All this cloak and dagger shit is giving me a headache." Lucius said, leaning on the wall.

"And that's saying something, coming from a silver tongued imp." Ciri laughed.

"The Greybeards seem to think you're the Dragonborn. I hope they're right." The woman said leaning on a map of Skyrim.

"They Greybeards are right. I am Dragonborn. Whatever that truly means." Lucius drawled.

"I hope so. But you'll forgive me if I don't assume that something's true just because the Greybeards say so. I just handed you the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. Does that make me Dragonborn, too?" The woman sneered.

"Nooo~ The fact i killed a dragon. Ate its soul like a morning stew, and then spat out a shout, made me dragonborn. But, if you prefer living in your own delusions. Good for you." Lucius 'sweetly' smiled.

"What's with all the cloak and dagger?" Ciri question, clearly getting tired of the woman's games.

"You can't be too careful." She half answered.

"Look, seriously. Cut the shit. You asked us here, here we are. I'm not even going to consider hearing you out when your hiding details of who's after you." Lucius calmly stated. "What do you want with me? And why?" He finished.

"I didn't go to all this trouble on a whim. I needed to make sure it wasn't a Thalmor trap. I'm not your enemy. I already gave you the horn. I'm actually trying to help you. I just need you to hear me out." She finally gave in.

"Just hurry up, woman." Ciri demanded.

"I'll explain what I want when I want, got it? You'd already be dead if I didn't like the look of you when you walked in here." Lucius and Ciri shared an extremely amused look at the burst.

"Sure~ Continue." Ciri chimed.

"I'm part of a group that's been looking to help you... well, someone like you, for a very long time. If you really are Dragonborn, that is. Before I tell you any more, I need to make sure I can trust you." She said, as if nothing was wrong.

"I can't tell if you're extremely stupid, or just so arrogant you think yourself invincible." Lucius incuriously said. "Huuh~ i must be getting soft... Fine, i'll bite. What is it you need me to prove? And. How can you "help me" as you said." He conceded.

"The dragons aren't just coming back. They're coming back to life. I've seen their burial mounds ruined, and i think i know where the next one will occur." She said.

"Well...Spit it out then." Ciri bluntly spoke.

"Kynesgrove. A small village near Windhelm. If i'm right. you get to kill a dragon, and i get my proof." She said, slowly eyeing Ciri's form.

"Finally. We'll meet you there." Lucius said walking out into the inn, closely followed by Ciri.

"The fuck was up with her? It's like she thinks we owe her a debt." Lucius complained to Ciri, making his way out of Riverwood.

"My thoughts exactly. This group she spoke of, any links?" Ciri asked.

"The blades most likely. They used to slay dragons but eventually became glorified bodyguards to the emperor of Cyrodiil." Lucius informed the girl.

"Huh? So, she should be listening to you then..." Ciri pondered aloud.

"She can stay in the hole if she wants to continue to act like that." Lucius said.

"Agreed." Ciri nodded. "It seems like we just follow one path all the way." Ciri said, looking on Lucius's map.

"Sounds good, maybe we can steer clear of the capital of racists." Lucius joked.

"Hey, can you control if you absorb a dragon soul?" Ciri wondered.

"I'm not sure, why?" He responded.

"The idea of riding an undead dragon sounds pretty fun." She whistled.

"I'm trying it." He said, without skipping a beat.

"We need to kill the dragon first, idiot." Ciri playfully slapped his arm.

.

.

.

A terrified woman cam sprinting down the hill from Kynesgrove. Screaming terror and dread.

"Dragon! A dragon is attacking!" She latched onto Lucius's arm. "No! You don't want to go up there!... A dragon it's attacking."

"We heard you the first time." Lucius said shrugging off her grip. "Is it attacking the village?" He asked.

" I don't know. It landed on the old burial mound." She haggardly breathed out a reply.

"Looks like the bitch was right." Ciri said.

"The bitch just caught up." An unimpressed voice said behind her. "Come on, we might be too late." She ran past them.

"Oops?" Ciri shrugged at Lucius's look.
