POV Akari Nakano

Interacting with Shizuo in the past few days I have noticed she does have some special feeling for Nishikawa kun. I have caught her staring at him a few times. However, whether this feeling will develop into love or not, depends. That is why I am also supporting Makoto in his efforts to get them together.

Soon the days passed and it was the day of the date. I was so confused as to what should I wear. In the end I couldn't make up my mind and just chose a cute black top with pink a skirt. I put on light make-up as well.

I accepted the trip proposal without thinking much, but isn't this a double date. I understand that Makoto planned this trip so that he can get Shizuo and Nishikawa kun closer, but I can't help but be embarrassed when I consider this to be a date.

Just as I was leaving the house my sister caught me,

"Ara, Akari where are you going after dressing up so much?"

"Ah-, sis"

"Could it be a date with your boyfriend?"

"He is not my boyfriend"

"So, it is a date with a boy?" She asked teasingly.

"There will be more people there", I was so embarrassed that I wanted to dig a hole in the ground and hide in it.

"Mom, come and look. Our Akari has grown up. She is going on a date" She said with tears in her eyes.

I ran out of the house before she could question me any further.

That was my sister Sumire. She is 6 years older than me, and is currently job hunting. She normally lives with her boyfriend but sometimes visits home. Today just had to be one of those days.

As I was already slightly late because of applying make-up I hurried along and soon reached the meeting spot.

"Hey, good morning, you are just in time. But the other two have not yet arrived."

What greeted me at the bus stop was a really handsome man wearing glasses waving at me.

"Who- Who are you!!!" There is no way I will accept that this ikemen is Makoto.

POV Shinji Makoto

"Does it look weird?" Is that why she can't recognize me? I knew I shouldn't have asked people on reddit for fashion advice.

I was wearing a simple light blue shirt with a dark blue jacket and grey pants. I also styled my hair in a salon yesterday, which was really hard, since most shops are closed during golden week. I also wore my glasses today which I don't at school, usually I just wear contacts.

"N-no, it looks ok" she replied while blushing.

It was only then I noticed the absolute beauty standing in front of me. With her hair straight back down, light natural make-up, and simple but stylish clothes, she looked like a model straight out of a magazine.

We both stood there stunned trying to process what was in front of us for a good few seconds.

"Cough cough" I did a few fake coughs to defuse the situation.

She also regained her clarity and averted her gaze.

As we sat down on the bench at the bus stop waiting for Nishikawa and Hiwari to arrive I could hear the people walking by commenting on us

"Look what a cute couple"

"See how good looking they are"

"They look like fashion models"

Nakano who was sitting right beside me lowered her head and her ears were red. From the looks of it she could hear those comments as well.

Just when I started hoping for the earth to split apart and swallow me whole, I heard the voice of salvation.

"Makoto kun, Akari sorry for being late"

Both me and Akari looked in the direction of the voice. What came into view was a couple. Nishikawa was dressed in a plain shirt and jeans and Hiwari was in a one-piece.

"Sorry for being late, did you have to wait for long?"

According to my watch only 5 minutes had passed but I could have sworn that I was sitting on that bench with Nakano for at least half an hour. Could this bench be the legendary hyperbolic time chamber?

"Not at all, in-fact I myself arrived just a few minutes ago", Nakano replied

"That's a relief"

"How come both of you came together?" I asked noticing

"Ah, that we met up along the way by coincidence" Nishikawa answered hurriedly

Tch tch, Nishikawa, Nishikawa, how many times must I tell you this? You are not good at lying. Seems like something happened between them that made them late. Since because of you I had to face an eternity of embarrassment I will now deliver the punishment.

"I must say though, when I saw you two coming, from a distance you looked like a couple"

Nishikawa's face turned red instantly, as if someone put in food colouring. What surprised me was Hiwari also blushed slightly"

Seems like it's not a hopeless case. There will definitely be at least a slight change in their relationship after today's excursion.
