Imaginarium Monster Exhibit

(A/N: next chapter should be the end of this small outgoing)

By the time Ren reached the place they were going to the Imaginarium Monster Exhibit or IME for short, it was already an hour later.

It was slightly far from where he'd go usually, but the positive thing about it was that it was a whole 'land' of fun.

It was comparable to a small city in town in size, and that was huge for such a place that incorporated many amusement places and various playgrounds and the like.

It was so big that there was a special means of transportation there, and for all of them visiting, this was the first time they had come to this place, so everything was new, except a few things they had heard about but didn't see.

Right now, they had just parked the car in the parking lot.

As Ren finally turned off the car he saw that a lot of people were coming and going.

"It seems this place is really popular, heh"

He remarked and unsurprisingly Robin replied.

She was always the most knowledgeable about such stuff.

"This park is supposedly the most visited place by adults and children alike for a few years now, and while it only offers family related services, like playgrounds for the children and picnic areas, it is still noted to be highly famous among them,"

She said as she had recently read about this in an electronic newspaper.

She liked to read most of the time, and it was widely known about her.

Isaki further confirmed that.

"That is true, even our neighbors used to talk about it a lot, so me and Rina were going to have to visit it sometimes, it's just that there was no time and the financial situation was slightly tight for a while…" She said.

"Which reminds me, Ren, I haven't actually thanked miss Sakura just yet, can you please invite her for dinner sometime later?" Isaki then asked as she confirmed Robin's words.

Ren nodded his head.

"Alright, I'll tell her later,"

What she was talking about was how Sakura had healed both Ren, and Isaki that first time her daughter was in danger from a gate outbreak, and Ren had come to save her. The two had been injured badly, and Sakura didn't take any money from them.

But Isaki was aware it was very expensive to even get half the treatment they got.

So, she wanted to repay that if even slightly, but Sakura refused, so she felt the least she could do was to thank her with a dinner.

She then remembered about Robin and Yamato.

"Ah feel free to join us if you want, the dinner would mainly be about thanking her, but as her friends, you can of course join,"

Yamato nodded her head.

"I won't say no to free food, hehe, plus Ren did say your cooking is good, hmm" Yamato was very happy, and if not for being slightly intrigued by what foods would be provided today at this place, she might have even wanted Isaki to invite Sakura this very day.

Robin just chuckled slightly.

'Such a glutton…'

But then Yamato added.

"On another note, it seems like this place should be suitable for children, or do you expect us to play the same games as them?"

She asked Ren as even from here she could see the various games that were present there. And they seemed like they were catering to children rather than adults.

"Haha"

"Well, I'll definitely play with little Rina, you're free to do as you liked if you don't like the games,"

Ren was Definitely going to try everything he found interesting. What's there to be said about age? One day he would be fighting SS rank monsters, the other he could b having sex, but today he was going to play with children on a roller-coaster or something like that. He didn't really care.

But he had a vague feeling about Yamato.

'She'd definitely enjoy it later, haha'

After all, they had various good foods and enjoyable stuff for adults.

He then started leading the way as he held little Rina's hands and the others followed after him.

As they passed through the gates, surprisingly there was no need to pay any entrance fee.

"They said it's because you'd need to pay before using anything inside at any rate,"

Apparently, this whole Imaginarium Monster Exhibit was owned by the same company, so they made money this way instead of just charging whenever they could apply it and suck people dry from their money.

H liked that, and the girls too nodded their heads.

"Well, that leaves it so that you can only spend your money minimally and only on the place you'd want to go," Isaki said her part as she looked at the area after they stepped through the gate.

Various stalls selling some weird exotic-looking stuff were around.

Robin added her observations too.

"It must also mean they are confident the stuff they have would hook people enough to bring a profit,"

*Woah*

Meanwhile, as they were saying this, Yamato was suddenly sniffing a delicious smell.

She started walking and by the time the rest noticed her, she had already gone to a stall near the gate of entry.

"Excuse me, what is this?"

She asked politely as stars were in her eyes.

What she was looking at was similar to Dango. Each round ball of it had a different color, and apparently also texture. Steam was still coming out of them, showing that they were just freshly cooked.

But she had those before, and they didn't smell as delicious as this one.

"This is our special IME Dango, try one bite and see how'd you like It, young lady,"

The stall owner was a very kind looking middle-aged woman, and she presented to Yamato with one stick.

Yamato took it and then sniffed the top one which was a dark brown as if it was made of chocolate.

It looked and smelled delicious, but also unlike any Dango she had before.

Once she took a bite, an amazing taste exploded in her mouth.

She had never tasted something like that. It was made of chocolate definitely, but the other stuff that resulted in such a taste eluded her.

The next part under this was seemingly made like a jelly and the one under it was like hard candy.

"This Dango is amazing, how much is it?"

The stall owner lady smiled as if she knew Yamato would be hooked to it even before she took a bite.

"It's four dollars, honey,"

Yamato was excited and wanted to buy two sticks, but as she reached for her wallet...

'I-I forgot it?'

Thankfully Ren had come behind her as he saw her earlier, and decided to buy it for her. And for the rest of the group.

"Hello, we'll take two for her, and four for us,"

As they grabbed their sticks, they started walking through the area.

This was just the start so not many stuff was around.

But one thing that they found interesting was how on the map this IME was divided into areas.

One area had large fields where racing games and the like were taken, one area had green areas for picnics, another was for swimming-based games, and there was even one for the flying variety and part of this Imaginarium Monster Exhibit.

The reason this was called the Imaginarium Monster Exhibit, was due to the monsters that were domesticated by the humans.

That's right, this park was largely like a zoo.

And the area they were in right now, was the one where all regular animals/monsters that were not able to fly nor swim were put.

And they then reached near an open space covered by fences where a very intriguing type of monster was kept. Various numbers of them were kept on this part and they got closer to observe it.

Most monsters were friendly and wouldn't attack humans at all, as it was their nature. And they weren't strong at any rate.

But on the off chance they did attack a human, there was a safety measure in the form of a device on their legs or neck, that was very small and unnoticeable, which would paralyze them before they could even attempt to act on their idea to attack.

It was apparent the people here took great measures to ensure safety.

And Ren and co liked that.

But at any rate, most monsters were all kept like this, with a relatively low height fence surrounding them since they wouldn't try to escape and actually like to play with the humans.

This one was a very cute looking round ball monster that had various colors dotting its body. It seemingly looked like a slime at first glance to Ren.

It can create feelers on its body and supposedly it can change the color of itself or any part of a human it touched.

But in the case of humans, it depended on how long you kept its feeler on you. This ability was scientifically studied and explained, and it was made sure to not be harmful before it was displayed here. All monsters in this place were like that.

Little Rina had her eyes brighten as she saw the cute colored animals.

She grabbed Ren and Isaki's hands and wanted to play with them.

"Can I? Can I?"

*Chuckle*

"Yes, I'll even go with you,"

They gave her permission of course, and Ren even went with her.

He grabbed her hand as they entered through one of the doors installed in the round fence.

*Pun* *Pun*

Once they did, one of these monsters spotted them and cutely started jumping and bouncing toward them like a ball of slime in those games and novels he read about. (A/N: It's like slimes in Genshin jumping if you can't imagine it)

Its color turned red and orange as if it was excited, and when Ren walked close to it, it extended a feeler toward him nervously. It finally settled on the color orange.

It shook as it reached near him, but he didn't resist and even presented his arm with a chuckle.

"Here you go, little guy, no need to be so nervous,"

Once the feeler touched him, and the monster heard him chuckle and speak it bounced happily, and the part it touched turned orange also.

"Woah,"

Ren was amazed as he looked at his left hand which had turned orange until his wrist.

Seeing Ren smile, the monster happily bounced on the ground.

Rina was excited as she saw that.

"I want green, please mister round cute monster,"

She let go of Ren's arm as she was still a bit nervous earlier, but now she jumped at it and hugged it.

As if the monster was overjoyed, it turned a light beautiful captivating green color just like she asked, and then her hands that were touching it turned green.

"Big brother, big brother, hehe, look at my hands they are green,"

She looked at her hands in wonder as she laughed.

She started to wave them before suddenly a light bulb went on above her head.

"Hehe, big brother I'll turn your hair green,"

She then ran at Ren with her hands reaching forward as if to grab him. (A/N: Rina ran at Ren)

Ren knew her hands can't do that, but he still played along.

"Oh no,"

"I can't let you do that, hehe, you'll have to catch me, Rina,"

*Fouish*

He ran in front of her as she followed him.

But then the slime saw her running after Ren and it bounced happily too.

*Pun* *Pun*

It started following after them, keeping up the pace with Rina as it extended two green feelers and tried to catch Ren.

Outside the fenced area, the three women were smiling as they saw this.

They enjoyed how Ren was playing with Rina.

And Ren and little Rina weren't the only ones enjoying this area where the slime monsters were kept.

Many people around them were also doing the same.

Each one was doing their own type of play. Some rode atop the slime and they started following each other and playing games of who would paint the other first.

At any rate, everyone was having fun.
