76 Ace in danger

Since Ren was chosen as admin, not one person in the group chat thought he would be someone average.

It was a natural conclusion, and even Tatsumaki despite her stubbornness and disposition toward him, still acknowledged that there might be something special about Ren.

For whitebeard, he guessed it might do with Ren's trait.

There were traits that were higher since awakening and thus made it easy to reach the higher ranks. His own case was a primal example.

Though he had more than one trait, his main one which was SSS rank made him reach the top of the world, at least among those still considered humans.

He put Ren in this category like him.

Still, Whitebeard reached this high of a rank relatively late into his age, and not young like Ren. Even someone with a heaven-sent talent and trait like Tatsumaki didn't manage to do it this early and easily.

A couple of weeks back, Ren was just B rank after all.

So, everyone had reasons to consider something was wrong.

But as long as Ren wasn't a bad guy, they didn't care. It was all good for humanity anyway.

Certainly, if it was up to Whitebeard, he would make sure they had even more SSS ranks due to what he knows.

At any rate, while most had these thoughts and were congratulating Ren, a system warning sound rang. But even though the warning did come for all members and they could see it, they couldn't do any other action, until Ren gave permission first as the admin/leader of the chatroom.

The members read the warning and were stunned for a bit.

The warning was repeated three times before it settled in the interface and just blinked in red color.

-Whitebeard: Is this related to the same situation as last time with our leader and Robin?

He made a logical connection since the system did announce it would be able to detect such gates.

Right now, he was in his own garden belonging to his huge mansion. He wasn't called very much lately to make any moves on his city, and that was expected for people as strong as him. There just weren't there any gates that high ranking.

He was drinking right now from a huge sake saucer as he enjoyed the fresh wind. His children took care of most things related to their hero agency.

-Tsunade: That is most likely, yeah

She had the same guess as Whitebeard. And if the situation was really dire, she can provide help. She wasn't very busy right now.

-Robin: This is a very serious situation, and for this system to detect such gates, it's very amazing

Robin focused on the extraordinary feature the system was displaying right now. As she knew the bigshots can easily take care of the situation anyway.

'Speaking of that, even Ren has become a bigshot now, huh?'

Ren said. He was hoping either Whitebeard or Tatsumaki can join though, so he waited for them to speak. Not that he wasn't confident, but he had this feeling that things were going to get messy. And he felt it was best someone strong went with him just in case.

-Robin: It seems I can't join you this time, Ren

She sighed since she would be just a burden.

-Ren: That shouldn't be really a problem, let's leave it to another gate as we can always enjoy or time hat way, the most important thing is to stop this gate as per the systems requested now. I certainly don't want to know what the critical stage the system mentioned is

As he said, he had focused on that part of the notice. If even the system said so it must be a very serious thing.

"Marco!" He loudly called for his son and right-hand person.

Marco heard the urgency in his father's tone and came flying after partially transforming.

"Pops, what's the matter? Is it your body again?" He came flying nearby and started checking his father's body.

Only when using his blue healing flames and seeing the old man was okay did he breathe a sigh of relief.

'But then what's wrong?' he waited for his pops to reply.

"Was the scorpion gate among the gates we acquired this time?" Whitebeard asked.

Marco was a bit surprised by this question.

It was a while since whitebeard took charge of things and had left everything for him.

But he still decided to reply as he nodded.

"Yes,"

"Who did we send?"

Marco's gaze sharpened as he started having a certain guess in his heart.

Still, he remained silent and he pulled a document from the bunch of papers he was holding.

He wore his glasses and started to see.

"Since it was just an A rank gate… Ace went alone!" Marco didn't understand what was wrong, but he could guess from how his father was acting.

He had a sinking feeling in his gut.

Something should be wrong with that gate.

Whitebeard closed his eyes briefly.

This gate had an S rank boss on the verge of becoming SS rank. Ace who was the leader of the division sent for that gate can't deal with that alone.

He wished in his heart that the situation wouldn't have turned for the worst for those guys just yet…

'If anything does happen…'

Vibrations in the air started to happen, as his mood became worse and worse.

He then grabbed his naginata from the side, where he always left it when he was in the garden.

He hit the ground with its pommel and entered the chatroom.

-Whitebeard: There is no reason for you all to waste your time, as this old man is definitely going

-Whitebeard: As for the reason… my son Ace is inside!!

He hit the ground again with his pommel, determination shining in his eyes.
