1 Prologue

"He isn't ready! The simple act of Casting him there might be lethal!" a feminine voice cried out in a worried tone.

"If there was more time I could prepare him properly for it but you know as well as I do Yuris, what the others will do if the find him. All we can do is hope is that our last chance survives the Cast and doesn't die before he-" replied an older male voice in before being cut off by a loud bang. "Quick Yuris, Cast him NOW!" he roared.

A young man awoke with a sweat and ragged breath. It took a few moments for him to orient hisself and take in the surroundings. He was in a large circular room made of stone lit by braziers with a large dome overhead. They were also on a small elevated platform in the middle.

To his right was a chest approximately 1.5 meters wide as well as a stagnant fountain to me left. And in front of him was a pair of massive wooden doors with strange etchings on them.

When he was finished taking in the surroundings he got off the platform and walked over to the chest. When he tried to open it he was met with some resistance as one of the hinges was rusted but got it open after some jangling. In the chest was a padded jacket, a pair of boots, an old leather-bound book, and a short sword and accompanying scabbard.

He then turned to his back and went over to the fountain to get a good look at himself. What stared back was a young man in his early twenties with brown hair, light skin and a pair of emerald eyes. The man was wearing a white shirt as well as the jacket from the chest, and a pair of brown pants that reached his shins as well as the boots and sword on their hip.

Afterwards he walked to the large doors and stood in front of them. As he closed in on them he was in awe at the sheer size of them. From the platform they looked pretty tall but this close they were huge. Which truly gave a surprise when they offered little to no resistance when opened. On the other side was a massive hallway about fifty meters tall with pillars every ten meters on each side lit by more braziers.

The hallway went on maybe six hundred meters until it ended where, as slowly approached, was a tall statue facing away from the man of presumably a deity based on an offering box at its feet on the other side as well as two pairs of wings on his back. Just above the offering box was a tablet with something from a language the man does not know. In front of the statue was a door, much smaller than the previous doorway and it had similar etchings on it. Much like the first set these ones offered little resistance but unlike the first, this one led to the outside world.
