Chapter 12

Their conversation went so much deeper that Muren even mentioned about his strange ability of clairvoyance and being able to drink the moon and surround himself in a different world where the flowerbeds scatter.

Muren thought he'd regret it, but to his surprise, she received it well.

In fact, hearing about that, Ai gleefully told him that she also had a similar strange ability.

After their meeting, Muren began walking back home with so much bliss in his heart that the flickering off of lights hadn't bothered him that night.

He sat in the middle of his room and closed his eyes, surrounding himself with the flowers again.

Soon, he was inside the world he could always go into.

The glowing flowers, the infinite dark blue horizon, the spectrum colors of sky, the heavenly bodies were all in place.

Only, there was a woman before him this time.

"This was the strange ability I had that I was talking about," She said. " I can freely enter someone else's fabricated world. Is this not such a wonderful thing?"

Muren could not speak a word as she was too dazzling to look at.

He held his gasp and slowly nodded.

Soon, she began dancing with the singing cold air. Ai looked completely ethereal as she gently sways along with the petals.

Her hands moved in a fragile way, her expression was calm, and her body was flawless.

She had embodied perfection as she danced.

A few more minutes later, she began taking off the knot of her cloth from behind and threw it over the chrysanthemum flower bed. And soon after, she had also taken off her robe and undergarments, leaving her bare naked and barefooted as well.

The nudity only added to the beauty and with that, Muren could not take his eyes off of her.

He was utterly beguiled by the fascinating woman in front of him. He fell in love.

After that night, he could not fall asleep without dreaming about her.

Day by day, he would visit her and they would talk endlessly. He had also given the hairclip he bought, which she gladly accepted as if it was a great honor.

After a few more days, he finally gathered up the courage to ask for her hand.

Hearing this, she had fallen silent, then soon teared up with joy as she gladly accepted to be his.

Day and night, they would meet.

After all his work with the labor and the studies, he would spend all his time with her.

They would walk, eat, converse, and laugh.

At night, they would meet at the otherworld of flowerbeds, sipping the stars as their wines and dancing with the flowers.

One day, Muren had finally decided to let his mother meet his love.

And so, he brought Ai to their house for her to meet his mother, Madam Lumen. She was respectful and kind when she had entered as the mother would only glare at her.

Madam Lumen immediately disapproved of their relationship when she laid her eyes to Ai.

Muren's mother was very adamant and stern with her decision that she had uttered violent words against them.

Muren was obviously disappointed, angry, and embarrassed all at the same time.

He felt humiliated in front of the woman he loved, so he quickly pulled Ai out of their house.

While on their way back to her home, he would continuously apologize to Ai and assured her that he would talk things out with his mother.

Ai, on the other hand, also assured him that it was fine, though it bothered her.

They said their farewells when the sun was slowly melting in the sky. The mandatory lock in would soon be implemented, so he hurried back to his house to have a quick conversation with his mother.

It did not turn out well, as he had expected.

The next day, he went on convincing his mother about Ai, but Madam Lumen would not budge with her stance. She remained disagreeing with her son.

It was too infuriating for Muren to reason out to his mother who feigned deafness over rationality. They got into a serious fight which led to a gap between the two of them.

As his relationship with his mother worsens, his relationship with Ai bloomed as it was nurtured everyday and every single intimate night.
