23 The Date! 2

Third-person POV

'Oh my god! this kid is going to be the end of me! why the hell when I finally have a date with an angel and this shinigami kid ruining it all?!' Rai said it in his mind. obviously, when Conan is greeting us, the children are bound to ask Conan about us.

Ayumi "Hey Hey Conan-Kun, do you know who that Nii-chan and Nee-chan is?" she asked

"The Nii-chan is my friend when I and Ran-nee are taking me to the Fairy lips convention. We kinda met because Kogoro jii-san is asking him about his car" Conan said.

"Nice to meet you everyone, and the pretty lady beside me, Her name is Shouko" Rai said. Her face becomes red, Then Shouko took out her notepad and write it showing [Nice to meet you all] with an angelic smile.

"She is a mute so please forgive her if she can't speak" Rai said while patting her head, which makes her blush again.

Mitsuko "It's okay Rai-nii! nice to meet you Shouko-nee! I am mitsuhiko!"

Ayumi "Nice to meet you Shouko-nee-chan! Rai-nii! I am Ayumi!"

Genta "Great ta meetcha Pretty nee-san! and Nii-san Name Genta!"

Haibara "Nice to meet you. Please just call me Haibara"

Agasa "Hohoo, Nice to meet you two, young couple. call me Professor Agasa"

when everyone already introduces themself, Agasa and Haibara immediately tell them that there's more delicious cake on the other stand. They read the mood and the kids said let's chat again, which Shouko happily wrote yes. when they are away from the couple Haibara asks Conan.

"Is it them that you're telling us about? and that girl too?" she said. which Conan answered,

"Yes, they are. I know for a fact that they are a nice person" He said.

"I know. when I see that smile, it reminds me of my older sister. it's not as if her fate is worse than my Nee-san, but is already cruel enough that normal sane people take a mute as if it's nothing" Haibara said from the heart. Conan agreed and clench his fist. He thought about how those people should be in jail, but Haibara thinks darker and wishes those people disappear. Like black organizations.

Back at Rai and Shouko, Rai just pray that nothing happened in his mind. He immediately becomes depressed when he thought that is impossible considering the plot power. Shouko on the other hand, just enjoy her cake as nothing happened. She is in her happy world eating delicious cake. Rai saw her smile and though 'Ahh, This angel is really cured me'.

After 1 hour of eating and chatting, Rai noticed a lot of policemen arrived.

'And it's ruined, sigh~ our perfect date...' Rai crying on the inside. Shouko noticed the policeman and ask Rai with her hand-sign, [What happened].

Rai answered, "I don't know, let's asked around" They see Professor Agasa and Haibara. They asked them what's going on and it turn's out there is a murder. An actress is killed in her room. This scared Shouko a bit and Rai calm her down.

[why are people murdering someone?] she hand-sign to Rai while looking sad.

"There are some people we can't understand Shouko. some because of Revenge and Some because of a petty reason, but in the end, it's his or her psychology that leads it. one must know that murder isn't the answer or even suicide okay?" Rai said seriously to her. He doesn't want Shouko to attempt suicide just because of her old town that used to treat her haunts her back. that's why Rai saved her early as she can with his group's of friends.

Shouko nod. she used to think that this is her fault and sometimes considering it. but after Rai's explanation, she decided to delete that thought immediately. She is already in a new town, Got a lot of friends who care for her, and lastly, Falling in love with someone that saves her from that predicament.

[So what should we do about this] Shouko asked with her hand-sign.

"Let's just wait okay. I got a feeling that this is going to be solved quickly" Rai answered.

When Haibara heard him say that, she became serious.

'Did this guy know about Conan?' she thought, she shrugged but she kept her eyes on him.

Rai and Shouko just waited for the investigation to be done. while they are waiting Rai just rambling on his mind.

'That kid really has a dark curse or something. I can see something around it but I am not sure how to get rid of it. while I can use creation magic to do something about it, I don't know if that's work. With your imagination, it becomes a reality... no... I better wait until The boss of the Black organization is done for good. they have a plot and Conan, even though he has a shinigami curse on him, he also has a protagonist aura'

Rai's conclusion of that is the people who want to kill but hesitant about it, Conan shinigami curse invokes those people and then that people suddenly want to Kill. in the end, it might be human psychology that drives them like that.

They just waited and Conan is coming back with a phone containing the photo of the victim's recent blog post. It's a manga shelf and the victim named Kyouna Shouno. then Rai realize something.

"Conan, This is..." Rai said something but he concentrates his eyes again to the manga self on the picture.

"What's wrong Rai-san?" Conan asked.

Rai answered, "The arrangement of this book is a little weird right?" then Conan is seeing the picture again. then He realizes what Rai meant "you're right... but to kill for something like this?".

Rai "No, not that, if you translate it in English, what do you get?" He asked Conan again. Conan then has a sudden thought.

'So that's why she killed her! and the locked room wasn't her original plan... Rai is already found the most important clue. He's sharper at intuition than I thought' Conan said in his mind. he may found another Rival besides Heiji.

after that Conan with the help of the kids and pretend to solve it using Professor Agasa as his cover. the murderer is another actress Satami Saya. she killed her using a selfie stick and make a locked room using the small helicopter. But that helicopter has a fatal flaw. before she wants to kill Kyouna, Saya test drive the helicopter and crash it on Genta's cake. That cake cream is found at the scene.

The reason she killed her is that Saya thought Kyouna found a secret about her. "Hit and Run". In Japanese, it's a baseball term, but in English, it means to flee the scene of a car accident. but the shelf that Kyouna show on her blog, the secret is if you check the number volume, it actually just revealing Saya real age.

when she finally arrested, Shouko became relieved that this is over.

"Shouko, I know you are relieved but, want to go somewhere scenic with me?" Rai suddenly asked that to Shouko which surprised her. she hand sign him [I'll go anywhere with you Rai. It's still our date] with a smile. Rai pat her head again. They said goodbye to the Kid and the Adults understand what's happening. Conan thought

'Sigh~, I wish I was bolder in my Teenage body when I confessed to Ran' He thought. He really needs to learn that initiative from Rai.

Rai and Shouko walk back to the VIP parking lot building and they are off. He brought Shouko to some mountain near Tokyo and it's getting quiet. Rai suddenly hands her a Blindfold and said,

"Wear this okay? It's going to be a surprise" Rai smiled at her. Shouko without hesitation nod to him and wear the blindfold. Rai arrives at a parking lot. Rai helped Shouko got off and walk together.

"Watch your step" Rai said. Shouko listen to him and they're slowly making their way to a place.

"We're here. now, open your blindfold" Rai said. Shouko did that and what she sees is a field of flowers. The scenery with the sunset background is making it even more beautiful.

Rai "Do you like it?" He asked. Shouko answered with her hand sign,

[I love it! it's so beautiful... Thank you Rai!] she unconsciously hugs him, which Rai accept. Shouko realize she hug him and let go of him. She blushed heavily and using her hand sign saying,

[N-no, it's not what you thought! I..] suddenly Rai cut her.

"Shouko" she suddenly freezes. Rai looking at him intently. then He changes it to the hand sign,

[I love you]

Shouko is shocked! the boys she likes confess to him. she wanted to cry of happiness but she holds it she asked with her writing on her note.

[Why me? there are a lot of girls that are better than me... I am just a disabled person you know] She holds her cry while asking that. Rai then hug her intimately. he said,

"You're special to me. you're different than any girls. Your personality is strong yet weak. Grown-up but also childish. maybe you think that disability is a flaw but that flaw is a part of your charm"

at that point, She no longer can hold her cry. she's so happy that the boy she likes wants to be with her. Rai just hug her and caressed her hair until she calmed down.

after she calmed down Rai said, "I said it once again. I love you Shouko. will you be my girlfriend?"

Then she answers with her voice. though her pronunciation is broken, but to Rai, it's clear and has no flaw.

"Yes!" She smiled brightly. and when their face met each other. they're getting closer until eventually, they have their first kiss.
