The Trial of the Possibilities (III)

I waited for my enemy to made the first movement, with the skill of my thumb I should be able to evade his attacks without much problem.

He moved very fast, waving his sword elegantly and trying to cut me. I can't determine his figure for sure, is like I was watching a mass of darkness that swallows the light constantly, the weapon on his hand is the only thing that I can comprehend and predict, luckily I don't need more to dodge it. What's bad is that due to that I don't want to risk myself and attack, his range is greater than mine. One wrong step and it'll be my last.

"If that is everything you have to offer, I am disappointed" said suddenly.

Raising an arm and letting it down a strong gust of wind comes in my direction and drags me until I hit the wall.

"Where does this wind come from?"

"It is not the time to look away"

I was able to notice that he was coming quickly towards me, his sword buried deep on my chest.

"Ahhh!"

The impact was so powerful that it didn't stop there, his body continued to put pressure on mine and the wall ended breaking down. When I realize it we were in the same scenario of before, falling from the top of the mountain.

"What is the matter? Are you giving up?"

"You're crazy! We're going to die here!"

This is the end, his attack sure reached a vital spot and that'll kill me before the fall does.

So that's how it ends. My adventure, my journey, my experiences. The questions will remain unfinished...

"You give up to soon. Keep it like that and you will never be my Seeker"

The shadow put on top of me and kicked to release his weapon, this way my descent was accelerated.

I ended up hitting the floor very fast and just then the liquid that covered the floor splashed everywhere.

That's all, only death awaits.

"..."

However it didn't happen. I opened my eyes and noticed that I'm still alive. I was able to sit down without any difficulty.

What does this mean? I was sure he pierced my heart. Checking with my fingers I can feel my wound there, there's no doubt about it, although I'm not bleeding out neither feeling any pain.

The fall from before didn't affected me in the least. I stood up completely stunned, confirming that in fact my muscles, bones and body in general worked normally.

What the hell is happening? Maybe I'm really inside a dream.

"You are surprised by trivial stuff. You can still fight, do not you? Come"

The shadow had landed like it was the most natural thing and advanced until stopping in front of me.

"... what do you want me to do? It's impossible for me to win against you"

Yes, from the beginning I never stood a chance. This was a test to saw me fall in despair from not knowing how to react against an overwhelming enemy.

"Do not make me spell it out, bring your best!"

"Stop playing with me! I'm just a simple human, I don't have any hope of defeating a being like you!"

"Yes, that is what you are. A human, like the rest of participants before you that could not overcome my challenge. Normally you could not accomplish anything"

"Then-!"

"But this is not your home. We are in another dimension, on my world"

"Eh?"

"Discover the things that you can only achieve here, that will give you the key. Show the potential that you keep inside, bring to light the determination that you are hidding. If you are truly the irregular that managed to awake me from centuries of lethargy, in that case then you should make it!"

Again he put on an attack pose and ran towards me.

Why is he so eager to help me? Aren't we enemies? Does he...

I took a second to inhale and exhale. I'll left behind the fear and embrace the courage to continue. He's right, I must eradicate this coward side of myself if I really want to advance to the future.
