(YOU ARE SAFE HUMAN)

We both remained floating above the clouds, contemplating the event.

"It's horrible..."

The valley was slowly being torn apart, this promised land or Eden as the mister called it.

The place far from all troubles, which seemed to be the ideal refuge for the future of mankind... is being destroyed in front of our very eyes.

Was it our fault? Did the effects of the battle do this? The remaining animals were running from one side to the other in desperation just before they were crushed by the mountains.

It can't be... a most cruel scenario.

"¶§¤ЉЖ"

An intense noise lashed the place.

No, it was not a noise. It was like a voice.

"¶§¤ЉЖ" "¶§¤ЉЖ"

A voice repeating some incomprehensible words.

Over and over again, in different parts.

Finally I could see what the source was.

"Crows?"

Some jet-black crows were crying, birds that appeared out of nowhere.

Shouting those strange words that were unrecognizable, they shouldn't be able to make those sounds.

"¶§¤ЉЖ" "¶§¤ЉЖ" "¶§¤ЉЖ"

The longer I passed my body trembled, the hairs on my arm stand on end, my ears ringing.

"What's that?"

(IT HAS BEEN DECIDED)

I was a little surprised to hear the voice coming from the being carrying me.

"What's that sounding? Those crows... from where-"

(THEY SAY THIS IS THE SIGNAL. IT'S WHAT MARKS THE BEGINNING)

"Signal? What are you talking about?"

(AT THE MOMENT OF NO RETURN THE SIGNALS WILL BE RAISED. FIRST IT WILL BE HEARD IN ALL THE ENDS OF THE PLANET. IT WILL RESOUND IN UNISON WITH ALL LIVING THINGS, INDICATING THE BEGINNING OF THE END. THAT'S WHAT THEY CALL...)

There was a moment of pause.

It was as if time itself had stopped for a few seconds.

"THE SONG OF THE END OF TIME"

That was all "Asriel" said.

Out of fear I didn't want to ask more.

And that's how we both stayed.

Contemplating what perhaps was the last refuge in this world.
