Slow Down!

The beautiful night slowly faded away as the golden light of dawn seeped through the partially closed curtain.

The fingers of streaming daylight fell on the partially nude bodies of the overwhelmed lovers, who had taken most of the night time to rediscover themselves.

Leon's arms were protectively wrapped around his wife as they slept, unfazed by the dawning of the new day.

They would have remained in their perfect sleeping union if Ella's phone didn't start ringing.

Leon was the first to lazily climb down from the bed to get the phone while Ella just sprawled and yawned. Her forehead was slightly furrowed as she wondered who would choose to disturb them that early.

As if Leon was reading her mind, he gave her the answer she was seeking as he came back to join her on the bed.

"It's your mum," Leon kissed her on the forehead as he handed her the phone.

"Thanks, baby," Ella happily snuggled back into his arms as she received the call.
