"Ciri, can I please come in?"

Then I opened the door and saw Ciri on her bed sitting with her arms clutching her legs and her head looking down, but I could hear Ciri crying.

Hearing this I walked over to her bed and sat down next to her.

"Ciri, do you mind if we talk?"

"Are you crying for me?"

"Of course, silly," Ciri said as she looked at me, and now that I could see her face covered in tears and snot.

Seeing this I took my handkerchief and cleaned her face.

"You know Ciri, it's okay to be scared even if I'm scared, you know."

"But, then you don't have to go to the battlefields, you can stay with me."

I put my hand on his head and smiled at him.

"Unfortunately, I can't, I have responsibilities, you know"

"Besides, what I'm doing is to fulfill our promise"

"In what way is it to fulfill this promise to go to the battlefield?!"

Then I waited for Ciri to sleep until I heard faint breaths meaning she was sleeping.

I got up with as little noise as possible until I reached the door, taking one last look at the one I want to protect, I walked out of the room.

"Phew, that was exhausting."

Then I started to head towards my accommodation, but on the way, I stopped at one of my favorite spots, my spot where I can see the stars better.

"It really hasn't changed has it?"

Then I started to make my way to the small rise to land and lay down looking at the stars

"Ciri, I want to look strong up front, but I can't help it" then without noticing tears were coming out of my eyes.

"I'm scared Ciri to no end, all I want to do is get out of here, but it looks like I've become far too attached to you."

But even though I tried to joke, I couldn't stop crying.

Then without realizing it, I curled up

"Mum, Dad, and everyone misses you terribly" but then in that silence with only the sound of tears and my little moans of fear I heard

"Are you afraid?"

Surprised, I stood up and saw a man dressed in black hiding his face, but his tone of voice showed a gruff tone.

"So are you scared kid?"

"Who are you?"

"My identity is not necessary, I asked you a question."

Strangely, I felt as if I was drawn to him or had an impression that I could trust him.

I sat back down and then began.

"Yes, I am afraid, afraid of dying, afraid of losing the one I must protect, and afraid of losing what I am."

Then the man walked away, but I still froze and only a weak word came out of my mouth

Then I looked at the moon and all I could say was.

"I hope fate brings us together dear Aiden, I want to see why I feel the way I do with Ciri."

Then without a sound, the black figure entered the forest and disappeared without a sound.
