Chapter 17

"Aiden's been in bed for a fortnight!"

"Calm down, he's..."

"CALM DOWN?! Don't fuck with me, this is all because of you Geralt, Aiden's in bed without waking up!"

"Ciri, don't talk to Geralt like that."

"I'll talk any way I want, because of you, the only person I care about is in bed without waking up."

"I hate you."

Then Ciri walked off towards Aiden's room, slamming the door.

"Geralt doesn't blame you, Ciri is just at her wits end."

"No, she's right, it's my fault he's like this, I should have looked into his life before I did this."

"How's it going with the herbs?"

"Nothing is working, I don't know why, and Eskel is trying to find the information in the library with the few books we have left."

"I see."

Geralt walked over to his storage chest and took out a crystal.

"What is it?"

"A communication crystal."

"To communicate with whom?"

Geralt looked at Vesemir and said.

"Triss Merigold."

(Quick note, from now on it won't be at all like in the book and games, because I'm putting in places and things that aren't in the Witcher story at all after all, it's fan fiction, so it's normal, so let's move on)

"What's up Triss?"

"Mmh?" I turned around and saw my best friend leaning against the sides of my door.

"A jinn?!"

"Then Geralt came and vowed to bind us, so that I would not die."

"Then Triss, he's all yours."

But we were interrupted by an alarm sounding from the crystal on my desk, seeing this, I quickly got up to go look for it.

"Oh, your prince charming is calling you."

"Yen, stop!"

Sighing at Yen's laughter, I took a breath, then activated the crystal and heard the voice I'd wanted to hear for a long time.

"Triss?"

"Yes, how are you?"

But a silence came from the crystal

"Geralt?"

"Excuse me, you're the only one I could think of to solve my problem."

Becoming a bit serious and the same for Yen who stopped laughing and listened in silence

"What is it?"

"I have..." then Geralt paused briefly before speaking again

"I have a very special child who was trained for the test..."

"Geralt are you crazy?! You should know what the test is like!"

"You can lecture me later, please, I need help."

"Geralt asking for help is rare."

"That voice? Yennefer?"

"In person, now tell me sorcerer what crap you did to make Triss anxious."

"Yen, this is..."

But Yen interrupted me by pointing to his hand.

"So I'm waiting for your answer."

"You'll get all your answers if you can come."

"Fine, we'll come, but you'd better tell everything."

"Yes."

Then Yen hung up.

"Come on, let's go help your lover."

Then Yen activated her magic and we go through the portal she made.

Seeing the portal appear, I stood ready then seeing 2 women I knew come out, I could be relieved

I started to approach, but Yen's cold voice rang out.

"Geralt what is this thick magic lurking in your castle"

"That's for this problem, come follow me."

Then I directed them to Aiden's room, but when they saw the door, both of them hated

"What happened to the door?!"

"It's because of Aiden in there."

"Aiden?"

"Yes, the one who wants to be a witcher."

Then I opened the door and saw the state of the room, the 2 witches were very shocked because the whole room was frozen, snow was appearing and in the middle of it all, Aiden was squirming in his bed with some kind of ice aura coming out of his body.

"Is that him?"

"Yes."

Triss activated her fire magic which made the room warm, but as if animated by the provocation the cold became much more severe and a person who still hadn't spoken came forward.

"STOP."

Ciri drew her sword and stood in the way of the people.

"You're hurting her, stop your magic!"

"Ciri sheathes that sword!"

Ciri looked at Geralt then sheathed her sword, but said in a supple tone.

"Please stop your magic."

Triss saw that the child was having more trouble with her magic and stopped her fire, then the cold calmed down

Yen rolled up those sleeves and walked over to Aiden, then she took his hand and flowed her magic.

"TRISS, I NEED YOUR HELP"

Triss walked over to Yen.

"I need you to do what I did and eject your magic into his body."

"Wait, if we put too much into him, he could die."

"I know, but right now he's swallowing my magic like a starving man."

Triss joined Aiden's other side and then ejected into his magic, but not hiding his nervousness, Geralt walked over to the 2 witches.

"Yen, explain what's going on."

"This child is an endless hole, the fact that the cold is spreading like that is because he didn't have much magic so as a result, the cold became like an absorber to replenish the loss of magic, but the problem is he's too weak to withstand that at least for a human, I don't know how he didn't die."

Then for minutes that became hours and soon a day or the witches devoted to putting magic with Geralt watching them and Ciri who couldn't help but worry about it

Then finally, the storm subsided and returned to Aiden's body, and the two witches caught their breath.

"Geralt you better have a good explanation, because right now, if the world knew that two senior witches had to use almost all of their magic for a child who isn't even an adult, then they would be in great danger."

"Don't worry, come to the dining room, I'll explain. "

Then Yennefer, Triss, and Geralt headed for the door, but seeing that Ciri was not following Geralt asked her

"Ciri, are you coming?"

"No, I prefer to stay if possible."

"I see."

Then taking one last look at Ciri who sat down in a chair next to Aiden, Geralt closed the door
