81 Chapter 81: Priest Animal

Before continuing onward I first brought out an axe that I had pried from the cold dead hands of one of the huntsman, it wasn't high quality and it would definitely break during the fight but it would do for now.

With my gin on my left and my axe on my right, I started striding forward. A not-insignificant amount of excitement coursed through my veins. Although I had been having a (relatively) easy time in Yharnam for now I don't think this boss would be the same.

Although I had all of the experience I had gathered in Lordran I had none of the skills, I had just been brute forcing my way with deadman style. This was due to my skills getting sealed upon entering this world, and since I had a gamer system, just like how I built my skills with it, having them taken away was also a possibility.

I didn't mind though, I loved a good challenge. Probably a coping mechanism developed by myself due to my extensive torture honestly.

Back to the basics, with nothing but the clothes on my back and system on my mind. Hunting beasts far larger and stronger than myself. While most people were nostalgic toward their favorite shows I was nostalgic about getting my ass obliterated by giant building-sized monsters.

Seeing the notification window in front of my eyes I couldn't help but smirk. This system knew me too well. Though it seems that it really has become more... more now. But I don't really know if that is because of the changes it received or if it was supposed to be like this originally and I had broken it somehow.

Regardless, the reward from this quest was better than any number of blood echoes it could give me. If I am reading this correctly then I can recover my previous status window by doing quests.

But I really, r e a l l y didn't like the random part of it. If there was something I am sure of, it's that my luck is shit. I won't take any arguments there, if my luck was any better then my tutorial wouldn't have been in darksouls of all places. As the fucking deprived with the pendant nonetheless.

Hopefully, I don't get riding or sewing or something.

F u c k, hopefully, I didn't jinx it.

Shaking my head I stepped forward, step by step the sound of my boots meeting the stone floor echoed around the eerily quiet surroundings. As I passed through the archway and closer to the building, a giant wendigo-like creature jumped up from behind the building and landed on the bridge in front of me.

The beast was gigantic in size, towering over me, matted and dirty white fur covered its beast-like body, it had deer-like horns with a wolf-like face that had an open maw filled to the brim with razor-sharp dripping with blood. Its body looked malnourished with its ribs literally showing out of its chest.

Yet that did little to take away from the intimidating sight. It had arms longer than my whole body, each of its fingers lined with nearly a meter-long sharp claws. One of its arms was significantly bigger than the other, it was mostly covered in fur but I could make out the dangerous amount of power that arm held. Packed with powerful and lean muscles, this beast was certainly something dangerous.

But seeing that large arm I could help but point something out.

This little bastard was copying me. Knowingly or not he imitated my distorted Primeval state with the oversized arm and general stature. I do not like getting plagiarized.

"RHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The beast let an ear-piercing shrill roar before lunging at me. Seeing its oversized left arm move I put power into my legs and put my balls to the walls as I sprinted and rolled between his legs, narrowly avoiding the giant arm as it turned a part of the bridge into rubble.

This adrenalin. Unknowingly my previous grimace started forming into a smile.

I really did miss it.

As I got up from my roll I linked the movement into a spin as I struck the beast's leg with my axe, it didn't go very deep due to me being unable to utilize Deadman style on a whim but it did put a mean slash on its legs. Letting an enraged roar it turned toward me as I struck its midsection.

Dodging under a swipe from its smaller arm I whipped out my gun and shot its face, and as it recoiled from the shot I replaced the gun with a Molotov and my axe with a lighter, using that window I lit the Molotov and threw it at the beast with a backflip.

But as I landed, the beast, in its angry flailing hit my body with its large limb, sending me crashing into the side of the bridge. I felt bones break, but not willing to let up my momentum I summoned a blood vial in my mouth before biting down, swallowing the crushed bottle whole.

Using the wall as a leverage point I jumped up and forward toward the beast as I summoned my axe and chopped down on its arm, it let out yet another screech from the pain, I let go of the axe to drop down.

When I landed on the ground it felt like time had slowed down as I entered total concentration.

My veins and muscles bulged, tears started forming on my muscles and my bones started creaking like old machinery. Even though it was rather lackluster compared to Lordran, I didn't need focus to execute the move I made myself. I cocked my fist back

"{Deadman's Blow}."

But just before my fist met the Cleric Beast's legs, something unexpected happened, the beast jumped back, and I was unable to reel back my fist properly as I whiffed the blow. Even as my fist hit nothing but thin air all of the muscles and bones in my arm snapped, turning into a gory mess.

As I winced in pain as the Cleric Beast's arm wrapped around my waist before it slung me like a slingshot all the way to the other side of the bridge. The only reason my body didn't explode upon contact was thanks to me bracing my body before impact.

Regardless of my attempts, it felt like that hit had completely scrambled my internal organs. I'm pretty sure my kidney is in my bladder, a lung is in my intestines and my heart is about to drop out of my asshole.

Using form shift I put my organs in their rightful places one more before guzzling an entire liter of blood. Now I was pissed, my whole body ached. Not only that but I had just been bitch slapped by a beast that emerged from the perversion of my humanity.

/The nerve./

But as quickly as the thoughts visited my head I dispersed them. Being a berserk wild animal wasnt something that I wanted to define me. I was tired of succumbing to my bestial side. As the beast was approaching me I went up to a sign before chopping its stem and head off.

Twirling the improvised spear in my right hand and my gun in my left I shot off toward the boss. Just as it was about to slam its giant limb down on me I re-entered total concentration. I hopped above the appendage before landing on it and running up it. Seeing me do that the beast tried to swipe at me with its left skinnier arm.

*Bang!*

Just as the beast's arm approached me I aimed my gun and shot precisely through its shoulder. With deadly accuracy the quicksilver bullet infused with my blood tore through the beast's tendon, stopping its arm as it went limp. Reloading the gun I aimed at its face this time, bang, a bullet was lodged in its eye.

I kept running up its arm, all of those actions were performed in forced superspeed using full potential. But there was a problem, beasts can only be wounded by specific objects or things infused with blood. And this improvised spear wasnt either of those things.

So it seems that I would be the one that has to improvise.

I reached the beast's face, moving at extreme speeds I grabbed its throat. My hand didn't completely wrap around its throat but that was fine. I redied the spear, taking the stance I stabbed.

The pointy end of the metal rod went right through the back of my hand.

Instead of infusing the metal rod I instead covered it in my blood as the spear pierced through the Cleric Beast's neck and ripped through the back of its neck. Immediately after, it stopped struggling. I dropped down from its arm as my body hurt from the strain of full potential and total concentration.
