36. Time who grew with us

In the next morning Edith woke up by the sound from someone knocking outside of the rooms, at that time the sun has started to set.

Aside Selena who called her behind the door, She was dressed in a men shirt. previously was wore by Isaac, a big size shirt that loosely hanging on her curves body.

The messy room caught her attention, with her nightgown as well as Edith undergarment spreading around the bed.

Remembering her memories from the last night, It was chaotic as the red marks in her body along with muscle pain proved that it wasnt a dream.

"Ouch..."

Tracing the red marks on her neck and belly, bruised because he keeps bitting on it. A feeling of shame from it creeping out to her ear and cheeks, as her entire face reddened by the recalled memories.

It was one wild night she ever had, tackling all the wet dreams from her college days when she undergone her puberty.

Its a pity that, the culprit has already left her alone.

No ones sleeping beside her.

Swallowing an unknown bitter feelings she didnt know are inside, Edith buttoning Isaac shirt up to her neck.

Calming her drumming heartbeat as Edith tries to combing the messy hair while using her long finger, she's trying to be presentable in front of Selena.

"Milady..." Selena knocked again for no ones know how long she had been doing it.

"Come in..." Her voice cracked, and hurt. She clearly wants to drink a water to soothes her throat.

The door opened, and it was Selena alone with a food cart.

Nobody elses.

"Did you bring a water ?" Edith was a bit uncomfortable to be seen in this messy state, but Selena knows Her aggrement between the Grand Duke.

just as Edith predicted, Selena flinched by the scattered clothes nonetheles she didnt atc too much by the sight.

"Yes... I also bring a medicine from his grace attendant this morning."

Selena said keeping her poker face, as Edith took the glass of water from the tray.

"Medicine ?" She asks, feeling better.

"The pills for lessening the backpain as for the balms, its for reducing the swollen area."

"Cough- Uhmm... sure, thank you selena." Edith said feeling a bit embarassed, Her maid sure know what happened.

Edith drank the water Selena gave her, hurriedly covering her nervousness.

"Here"

Giving back the empty glasses, Selena seemed to wants to said something and it didnt go unnoticed by Edith.

"If you have anything to say, go on Selena... I am all ears..."

Edith told her, straight into her eyes. It looks like an important news, because Selena was fidgeting a little bit.

"Young master, arrived at the mansion this morning..."

"My brother did ?" Edith asked her, feeling a bit suprised with her eyebrow lifted as if waiting for the following news.

"Yes, Milady. He was asking for your whereabouts... apparently, he wants me to relay his message that saying Young master was going to another Nation. He left this morning before you awake."

Truthfully saying, edith knew what is the reasons. It might be about the issues trade between the empire and the Durham kingdom.

It was probably half of Isaac reasons to make him came yesterday night, despite the accumulated fatigue from the previous travel.

Or more like a pent up lust ?

Edith decided to belive at the latter.

"Alright, he might be there for a couple of weeks... So, do we have another news ?"

"No, Milady. Aside from it, the butler confirmed the restaurant location. It was 2nd floor building with a nice place."

"Is that so ? how about the furniture, do we need to change it ?"

"Theyre still in a good quality."

"Then, I'll go check it in the future. For now, I want to take a warm bath. Could you please prepared it for me ?"

Edith asked, closing the discussion. She was a bit uncomfortable, mainly because the sweat on her body.

"I understand, would you like to have a dinner ?"

"Yeah, I am famished. Thank you, Selena."

"Its my duty, Milady."

With that, Selena bowed to excuse herself.

Preparing warm bath and dinner altogether, it didnt took a long time for Edith to relaxing her ached back. The maids working swiftly as soon as they can.

While Selena cleans Edith room, Edith took her time inside the bathroom. she was almost fall asleep again if not for Selena who called her.

Wearing simple gown, she ate her dinner alone in the bedroom.

She reads a few books and writing a song until midnight comes, then falls asleep on her bed.

In the next day, She did wake up in the morning to see the restaurant with her own very eyes.

it was a beautiful building with medieval vibes, at this moment Edith was grateful that this world civilization werent behind too much.

After checking what was inside, Edith gave her butler a list to buy for the restaurant. She needs to remodelling the restaurant image, giving it a little bit modern touch so that her restaurant could give a different dine experience to its costumer.

She didnt forget to build a stage show on the corner of the room, along with grand piano and voice amplify.

Her plan cost almost half of her money, she needs to earns it back somehow.

While waiting for the re-construction, Edith spent her time with the chef of mansion.

Mr. Yoshef...

"Milady, you cant be here. I could try to make any food you wish to eat." He had brown hair, with green eyes and tanned skin. close to a leaner built, with a neat appearance.

"Dont worry, Mr. Yoshef. I can cook, if you didnt believe me, I could spare the food i am going to make. just watch."

I told him with a smile, in another side Selena was worried that I would hurt my own hands. while others maid seems hesitant to act.

Edith went into the market this morning, and brought back several herb known for medical purpose and an uncommon ingredients.

She wants to make a simple dish because there was a limitation with the spices. She needs to make it before the the restaurant opened.

With that in mind, she actually missed the fried chicken dish from the earth. She consumed it two or three times in a week, quite easy and tasted great depends on the recipes. M*******s was one of her favorites, but she actually could make it too.

Thinking like that, Edith pulled out a whole body of two chiken meat on top of the cutting board.

Suprising the whole room.

"Milady! Please let me do it." Cried Mr. Yoshef horriefied by her antics.

"Milady! you cant hurt yourself!?" This time was Selena who tried to approaching her.

"No. Just help me clean the blood after I cut them into pieces. Both of you bothering me." I said half threatening them and start to cut the chicken meat.

separating the legs into drumstick and thigh part. chopping the wings tip, and cutting the rest of the body part into sixs part.

She did the same to the other chicken, while Mr. Yosef marvelled by Edith skillful hand. She seems experienced in it, he thought inwardly while looking at the lady.

"Clean this." Edith give all the already cut chicken to him to be cleaned.

She then preparing a tray and two empty bowls, cracking three eggs into one of the bowl. She pours a cup of water and whisking it.

After that, she pour the flour on the other bowl. Adding salt and black pepper powder into it along with garlic powder.

Mixing it altogether, Edith took the already cleaned chicken meats while asking Mr. Yosef to heating the oil.

Dipping the meat into the bowl of whisk egg and smearing it with the mixtured flour.

She did it to all of the meat.

"I didnt know what she made, but I can tell that Milady was skillful in cooking." Yosef murmured.

Selena was no different, she's amazed by the smell of the food when it touches the oil.

Edith put the seasoned chicken into the heating oil as gentle as possible. waiting for ten minutes before she lifting the fully cooked fried chicken using mesh strainer.

She made a quick sauce from one of Asian nations consisting of fresh ingredients such as shallot, garlic, lemongrass, lime, salt, and etc.

She completed it in fifteen minutes, bringing it to two plates. One for her, and the others.

Edith's offering the fried chicken into the larger plate for everyone to be enjoyed.

"Here, try it." I told them with a smile. It took me fourty minutes to produce it, besides my hidden yearning to gnawing on it.

I need to develop the cuisine menu for the restaurant.

"Mi-milady! I'll try it!"

It was Mr. Yosef, the chef. He was nervous and anticipating the taste. He has never seen something like this, and it stimulated his enthusiasm.

"Sure, Mr. Yosef. Be my guest." I responded, gesturing him to take it.

Mr. Yosef reached up a drumstick part and devoured it. Chewing the magnificent taste, Mr. Yosef's eyes widened. Turning his head towards the one who prepared it in a swift moment.

Looking at the astonished man, Edith giggled playfully. She grabbed some of it to her plate on the trolley.

"I'll often come. I expect all of your assistance to eat on what I am about to establish for the diner. Later please inform me which was better from your preferences. I need it for the diner menu."

"…"

"Ah, the rest of you could try this food. I have my share here. Ah, you can bring your dependable companion to appreciate the next dish… then see you again."

I declared to them cheerfully. Washing my hands, I requested Selena to prepare a green tea and to carry it to my chamber.

I was walking out of the kitchen and going straight to my room. Whereas inside the kitchen… a chaos arrives.

"How in the world milady figures out of these recipes ?" the chef murmured.

"Oh my, the chicken surface had incredible taste!!" blurted one housemaid.

"Could I pack some of it for my little brother ?"

"Yes you can, milady mentioned so to be eaten," It was Selena who explained.

"Ah… call the butler too. He needs to try this." continued Selena.

"Alright, senior maids." She gladly left after hauling some for her little brother.

Selena reached the tea bottles, and start to preparing her lady demands.
