CHAPTER 03 - COURTING LAYLAC : MONDAY PT. 2

Jur was rooted on the spot. These two, Chris and Taz were his best friends started in Junior high school, they became friends with Chris at first who were a social butterfly ever since then he introduced the quiet Taz who's also fun to be with when he's in the mood. There are three people on Jur's trusted circle.

But he suddenly felt a warm hand on his shoulder, he turned to see Hac.

"I think Laylac will be more wary of you now." he shaked his head as if telling Jur that he made a huge mistake but it only brought more laughter to Chris.

And the three started to laugh.

"You three! Remember this day!" He turned to leave but Hac and Chris locked him in their arms, laughing.

"Come on, when you want a girl to notice you, you must not follow the normal format. You must be bold!" Chris suggested as if he's supporting Jur.

"And shamelessly shameless." Taz added from behind.

Everyone knows that Jur has a huge crush on Laylac ever since she transfered in the school from the Capital.

Actually, he's the only patient one who continued to pursue her. Everyone gave up because she's too high to reach and too cold, she never interact with boys but Jur was the only one loves to bug her everyday and admire her in every hour.

Hac forced a smiled before turning to his best friend, "This is another feat Jur, we must continue this path onwards!" he said

"You're right there Mr. Genius. You must maintain this exposure my boy!" Chris said as they enter the main building.

"You mean, being more shameless in front of her?" Jur asked, absorbing the information from them.

The two nodded.

But Jur shaked them off, "No thank you!" he exclaimed and walked towards the school board where the list of names and their respected classrooms are posted.

"So where are we?" Jur joined the crowd whose standing in front of the board, checking their names but he forced himself through to get on the front.

Then Hac and Chris joined him, leaving Taz behind. They searched their name on the list and was shocked.

"I can't allow this!" Chris exclaimed.

"Can you let this be Jur?!" he shaked the man.

Hac was silent too and laughed, "Now, I'm totally separated from you three."

"And that's the biggest dilemma." Chris turned to him

"Should we report this?" He shaked Hac's shoulder as if he's in panic.

"I don't think the faculty would let that." Hac replied.

"No! I'm totally damned in this year!" Chris exclaimed, Hac was the only one who lifted them in academic works.

But Jur was silent infront, still staring at the list.

Hac patted him in comfort, "I'm next door so don't worry about it." he said.

Jur slowly turned to him in a gloomy expression.

And he suddenly cried out loud which made the other students stare at him surprise.

"LAYLAC ISN'T IN MY CLASS!" he cried, expressing his utmost grief

Chris smacked his head, "Do Laylac help you in exams? Your homeworks?"

The man's ignored his questions.

"I can't take this." Jur hugged Chris for comfort but the man just pushed him away

"Get a grip man! She's with Hac so it's no problem right Hac?" he turned to the other who has his expression changed too.

"O-Of course!" he switched mood and turned to Jur with a forced smile, "...there will be no problem with that, just trust me." he said

Jur tried calm down "Thank you my friend." he replied dramatically.

"My friends, the opening ceremony will start in a minute." Taz appeared having his emotionless face

"Hey Taz we're----" Chris beamed in happiness but Taz cut him off.

"I know my life has been unlucky ever since meeting you people and I know my fate has been decided to be knotted in your fates. Very unlucky." he stated without pause

"Don't sound like it's too tragic." Hac remarked

"Okay now off we go!" Jur cheerfulness came back and lead the path.

"You recovered fast my friend." Hac stated in a joking tone.

"It's because he's ready to be shameless once again knowing that Laylac will be there." Taz concluded

"Can you all be more serious about my feelings? Because just seeing her around makes my heart flutter in all delight and joy I couldn't----"

"OKAY LET'S GO!" Chris locked him again on his arms and drag him along the school gym.

Every students lined up in accordance to their assigned class. And the gym was filled with the usual noise that you can hear in every corner echoing through out the big area, noises from several friends reunited, friends and foes, and friends to strangers. It made one whole incoherent noise.

"So this is where we say goodbye my friend." Jur seriously bid good bye to Hac.

"Goodbye." the man waved separated from the three, lining in accordance to their class.

Hac was 1-A while the three is 1-B.

So in definite sense of common, their line were just one line apart.

"Good Monday Morning to all! Another school year had started on this very day." they all hushed down as the Principal started to talk.

"Juniors became Seniors, Pupils became Students and Graduates became Alumni. Don't you just wonder how things roll in a fast manner? Like a booger when you roll your finger inside the well-filled nose, it's hard at first but when you start to become more flexible, you can start rolling it, rolling and rolling until it piled up and take shape..." the Principal started his welcoming speech, seriously speaking to the audience about the example of rolling a booger.

The students can't help but to touch their noses.

"I just spooned a lot yesterday." Jur said

"Try mine, it's moist because there's still a bit of mucus." Chris offered.

Jur laughed and punched him, imagining the booger with mucus, it's sticky like a mozzarella cheese when you take it out from your nose, he find it so nasty.

The Vice-Principal, Ms. Howler cleared his throat which made the Principal stop.

"...what I am trying to convey is the changes. Changes are good but changes with forced decisions can take you unexpected consequences."

"Regrets comes when you're an adult, frustrating I must say, reminiscing the things that you should have done or have said during our youth so you all must think wisely."
