17 Orders

The two are wary of the "cat" before them. It is eating the food it snatched from the hands of Elaina who didn't even notice the little thing lurking.

"It looks like a cat, but those features...those shouldn't be present in a normal cat at all," Elaina frowned.

"Should I fire some magic spell to it?" Julia asked, ready to fire off her magic spell to the cat currently eating.

"...No. Despite it snatching the food, we are not hurt or anything. It is more of a hungry animal, trying its best to survive and eat while recuperating. Look at its body, it has a big wound on its body that may take a while to heal, it won't heal immediately if it doesn't do anything."

"Are you sure about it, Master? As much as I agree with you, it might become feral later and will attack us."

"Then we will do what we can once that happens. For now, we should leave it alone."

"What about my stew?"

"Oh...yeah. We needed a new bowl for that..."

Ultimately, Elaina and Julia spare the "cat" and leave it alone. While they were still eating, the "cat" promptly carried the bowl back to them before scampering to the dilapidated dog house.

"Well, guess a single bowl of stew is enough for it, I guess. See? I told you it should be fine."

Julia only shrugs as she finishes off the stew in her bowl.

As for Elaina, she silently opened the Almanac on her side. Seeing Julia seems to be not bothered, it seems she cannot see the book at all. As for the reason why Elaina opened the almanac, she was curious about what kind of animal was the "cat". Since it came from the forest, Elaina thought it would be possible for her to know the species of the cat. However, looking at the local wildlife in the almanac, she didn't see any sort of animal or even monster that resembles the "cat". There was also no mention of it on any pages of the almanac as well.

"If that is the case, then that means this cat was not part of the local wildlife in the forest?"

"Hmm? You saying something, Master?"

"Oh, nothing. I am just mumbling by myself," Elaina chuckled nervously.

Julia's eyes landed on where the Almanac was currently floating but she didn't say anything, just frowning like she was confused for some reason. As for Elaina, she soon gave up trying to look for information on the cat. Since the Almanac can't tell her about it, then perhaps the Almanac has no record of that cat in the first place, or this cat is a foreign creature that arrived here due to it being chased by its enemies.

The night ended on a light note, with both Julia and Elaina full. And thanks to Julia, Elaina has access to a warm bath thanks to her magic. While Julia is still doing her task of warming the water for Elaina to take later on her bath, Elaina is currently in front of the Ledger. She has two days' worth of farm points and seeing the effects of the Parsnips growing fast enough, she is convinced that she needs to buy more of them.

Grabbing the pen beside the ledger, Elaina looked at the seed options that she could buy. She currently has 100 farm points so far, which were all redeemed after she was done with the dailies yesterday and today. There are plenty of seeds that she can buy but for 100 points, she can only buy one bag of seeds. She saw a few stuff that looked tempting at first especially since they had bargain prices but Elaina was already firm on her decision which is why she eliminated the other options and left the remaining options on seeds.

"Why are the seeds here so expensive? Daily Farm Points income does not generate lots of Farm Points daily and the weekly ones are something I still can't do. How do you even plan for me to buy and develop the seeds you gods are developing?" Elaina asked.

"[You should be patient, young one. As we said before, your dailies are low on reward but easy to do due to your situation. As you work on the farm, you will gain farm points naturally so don't be so impatient. You will soon gain access to what you need if you are patient enough.]"

"Hmm, if that is the case, how come this "Unknown Seed" is worth five million Farm Points? Isn't this just a big scam?"

"[Because that's how it is. That seed is very valuable so we ramped up the price for you to aim to buy. After all, this seed is worth more than you can imagine especially if it was finally grown and the fruits of your labor have finally sprouted.]"

"Ugh...I don't know...I feel that you are scamming me and yet I feel like you are genuine to me. I am totally at a loss here."

Elaina shook her head before she checked on the Potato seeds and ordered two bags since one bag was 50 Farm Points. Compared to the Parsnip that will grow for only 5 days, this potato will grow in 6 days. With the upcoming harvest day for the Parsnip, this is the next crop she wants to test after the Parsnip. She wanted to taste test the Parsnip and see for herself whether the Parsnip would be a viable vegetable for consumption, and if it is a good alternative for the crops that will grow normally.

After thinking for a bit, she confirmed the orders and finalized everything.

"So what happens next?" Elaina asked.

"[Just go outside and you will receive your package.]"

"Eh? It won't appear just out of thin air just like the first parsnip seed bag?" Elaina asked.

"[Not this time. This is a better option for us to safely deliver the items that you bought from the market. Otherwise, we would be labeled as not so professional on our little job.]"

Elaina opened the door and just like what the god had said, the seed bag containing the Potato seeds she bought.
