7 The next day

Ericka and Cindy were eating breakfast when the boys came to eat with them. Cindy also greeted them but didn't look at Ken once. After breakfast, they went to skating rink#3 and Ken grabbed Cindy's arm, which stopped her in her tracks frozen, feeling hot by his touch, but then she unfroze turned around, looking him straight in his eyes and firmly said to let go. As soon as she said those words he let go. She walked off with Ericka right beside her.

Ken watched as she walked away without giving him the slightest chance to apologize. He really couldn't catch the emotion in her eyes. Those light blue eyes were a shade darker and full of emotion. What emotion, did he still have a chance? Bryan pulled his friend out of his thought saying that he shouldn't be grabbing her by surprise like that, especially since he has yet to apologize to her. Ken understood.

When the boys reached the rink, they the girls talking with other kids. Bryan quickly stood between Ken and Cindy, thinking he would try to hold her or something to scare away the boys that were ogling her. They eventually started skating and went their own ways to skate. Ken tried to get close to Cindy again, but couldn't since Ericka was like a bodyguard.

That evening Ken went to Cindy's room to talk with her, but she didn't answer. He thought about the rink but remembered the time and that only couples could use the rinks now. He sighed walking to the window when he saw someone jogging. She was coming into the light of the building and as soon as he realized it was her, he bolted down the hallways so he could meet her as soon as he could.

He was so happy that he was able to see her face to face again. She kept her distance though, for various reasons. He quickly started to explain, (not thinking about his wording, he just meant to apologize and have her back by his side.) "I didn't mean to take it too far last night, it's just that, you were so beautiful dressed up for me. (Each word that came out of his mouth was frustrating Cindy.) I thought you wanted it...." Hearing him say how SHE had wanted it when he was the one making the advances, was the final straw for her. She finally let out all of her mixed emotions.

******** CINDY'S OUTBURST

YOU. thought I wanted it? Wanted what? YOU, to kiss me in the middle of the rink, while TRYING. TO. LEARN. COUPLES. SKATING.? YOU, think I was dressed up to please YOU? YOU. EGOTISTICAL. NARCIST. BRAT!!! YOU, always thinking everyone would fawn over you, did you really not think that if not for Ericka I would be letting YOU "teach" me?

Apparently, you have to be comfortable and trust your partner when skating couples and Ericka knew I didn't trust you, so she got my mind on something else, like dress up. I thought that dressing up for the first time, not for a competition or an award ceremony but to hang out with my friends, would be fun.

To think I was starting to like you, think you were more than an egotistical brat, but you just clearly proved me wrong. You enjoy kissing on ice, you enjoy 'teaching' by gaining the persons trust and doing whatever you please. Even if I liked it, we were in the middle of the rink!!!! (she was slowly letting the sadness of being taken advantage of seep out.) Her eyes teary, but she did her best to hold back.

What am I to you? Do you even like me? (Her now sad stricken eyes looked into his for an answer, any reply, but were only met with light hazel eyes full of confusion.) She sighed a breath of relief finally letting it all out and walked away, before he could see her tears slowly begin rolling down her cheeks.

**** KENS THOUGHTS

He walked outside, took a deep breath of the cool night air, and thought about all the events that happened within the past few days, how his life turned upside down when first laid on eyes on a beautiful, blue-eyed blonde beauty.

He thought about how she was the only one who ever rejected his charms. Not only that but her reactions surprised him every time they met. She ended up being his main focus of the day. How can he seduce this lovely beauty? And being too full of himself, just like she said, he didn't realize that without his friends help he would have never had the chance to get so close to her. Close....he thought again on his overwhelming want for her when she let him kiss her and even more so when she kissed him back. He never wanted anyone, they all wanted him. But why her....lost in his thoughts, the cool wind helping him come to his senses remembering when Bryan already told him the answer....he smiled in defeat.....he didn't like her, he loved her. Now he had to do his best to get her to trust him again. Hoping he still had a chance.
