Chapter 43: Together
Up until this point in his life, Micah thought he had a firm understanding of sex. His past experiences had spanned the spectrum, from casual one night stands, to what he had considered at the time as making love. He knew how to pleasure a woman–and enjoyed it. And while he was giving in the bedroom, there was one similar complaint he’d heard from many different women.
Micah Kyle didn’t understand intimacy.
He’d always assumed the women had meant the stuff that happened after sex. Pillow talk. Cuddling. Holding hands and making breakfast. It was true, he struggled in those areas, never knowing the right things to say or do.
Mel had made him feel the worst about it, which was expected, since of all the women in his life, she’d been the most consistent. She had every right to be frustrated that he would sometimes fall asleep right after sex or that he didn’t know would just nod when she was venting and asking for advice.
