Third Wheeling

"I....can't believe I was dragged here." Blake inwardly sighed as he sat cross legged on the sandy beaches of Sakyuu meditating.

Summer vacation barely started when Zach and Amelia had pulled Blake and Wilford away from their closed door cultivation to the beach.

"If you want to spend time together, why drag us with you??" Wilford grumbled at his friends.

As a magic engineer apprentice who's going to inherit his family's business, Wilford would rather spend his summer vacation by designing and forging magic tools than waste time at the beach.

"Hahaha, that's so like you, Wilford!" [Amelia]

"I know right? If it's something fun, isn't it common sense to share it with your loved ones and friends?" [Zach]

"Tch, what a righteous way of saying you want me to third wheel this beach date, Scarletheart Scion…but why did you bring Blake here too?" [Wilford]

"I…We had no choice. Our parents wouldn't let us come unless we had a guardian accompanying us…" [Zach]

"Bwahahahahaha! Your parents forced you? That's hilarious wei! Hahahaha!" [Wilford]

As Blake watched his newly made friends bicker with each other over the smallest things, he couldn't help but reveal a warm smile.

'Although I barely know them, I can tell that these kids would surprise me in the near future. But whether I can wait or not, that'll be another matter altogether…' Blake quietly thought to himself.

"Hey Blake, what are you thinking about?" Amelia suddenly asked.

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing…"

'Eh? Was I frowning just now? Shoot, that was embarrassing.'

"You sure?" [Zach]

"Of course. I'm a Magic Emperor, nothing can trouble me even if I want it to." [Blake]

Hearing their friend's answer, the trio knew that something was up. But since Blake didn't want to elaborate, they too decided to push this matter down their hearts.

"Now, if you guys would leave me alone. I have to work hard to achieve my next breakthrough–" [Blake]

"Request rejected! Zach, Wilford, drag him to the waters." Amelia immediately interjected before ordering her two friends to lock Blake down.

"Yes Ma'am." Zach and Wilford nodded their heads before they made scary faces towards Blake.

"Heh, children are idiots. I'm going to disappear now." Without wasting another breath with his friends, Blake opened a hole in the space behind him before entering the Void while smiling slyly.

"Oi, space magic is cheating!" [Zach]

"Boys, stop him!" [Amelia]

"Where is it? Where is it? Ah yes, this is it! Deploy Plane Stabilizer Anchor!" [Wilford]

"I will watch your date with great interest~" Blake said as his figure finally disappeared from the physical plane.

"That son of a bitch…" [Zach]

"Gah, this is so frustrating…" [Amelia]

"Aw man, my Plane Stabilizer Anchor failed to activate…" [Wilford]

2nd of the 3 Planes of Reality

Although Blake had evaporated into thin air in the eyes of Zach, Amelia and Wilford, Blake was actually still sitting cross legged in the same place he disappeared from.

And unlike his friends who can't see him, Blake could see the actions of friends as bright as day.

The only difference there was to the 2nd plane as compared to the 1st plane was that the 2nd plane represented the emptiness of a realm.

All realms were composed of 3 planes. The first plane represented life, physical objects and desires.

The second plane represented death, the empty Void, and wishes.

And lastly, the third plane. It doesn't represent anything yet it is the most crucial plane among the three planes of reality.

Although Blake had very little knowledge about the third plane of his own realm, he's certain that the 3rd plane of reality housed the world laws of his realm and many other important things required to form a realm from nothingness.

Regarding the theory of the 3rd plane of reality, Blake has consulted his own theory to Horu before and Horu too shared his views about the 3rd plane.

'Despite being a 30 thousand year old Void King, Horu's knowledge about the 3 planes of reality was not much greater than mine. If it's like that, I think I would have to consult Elder Lv about this matter in the near future.'

"But how would I contact him though? He's practically a divine being in the eyes of mortal men like me…" [Blake]

"Oh right, I have the black token!" He proceeded to take out a black token with the golden 'death' word engraved on it from his storage space.

"If I want to contact Elder Lv, do I just pour my mana into a black token to get a reaction?" [Blake]

{I heard that you wanted to see me, Saint. What's up?} [Elder Lv]

"Uwaahh?! Elder Lv?" Startled by Elder Lv's voice appearing behind him, Blake quickly turned around to greet him but was sadly met with emptiness of the 2nd plane. "You're…where are you??"

{Saint wants to know about my current whereabouts? Hmm, you could say I'm here in front of you yet I'm also sitting cross legged in my wooden gazebo in Heaven.} [Elder Lv]

"Huh? Mortal words, please!" [Blake]

{In simpler terms, I am currently using the black token to link your position in the mortal plane together with my position here in Heaven.} [Elder Lv]

"Wait…so this black token of mine is a phone?!" [Blake]

{A type of communication device. It's more like a….a radio per se.} [Elder Lv]

"The mobile phone is a modernized radio." [Blake]

{But OG radios are better than modernized mobile phones since cellphones and smartphones require coverage. Radios don't.} [Elder Lv]

"But I would rather call my black token a phone rather than a portable radio." [Blake]

{The founder gave the black token to you so that you may ask for my help, and not to argue over terms for the black token.} [Elder Lv]

"..." [Blake]

"Fair point." [Blake]

{Thank you–} [Elder Lv]

"Kyaaa! A crab snipped the strings of my bikini! Zach, Wilford, don't look at me!" Amelia suddenly shouted.

Just as Elder Lv and Blake were conversing freely in the 2nd plane, the trio Blake was supposed to monitor had already started enjoying themselves beyond control.

Upon seeing the flat, almost bare chest of Amelia, Zach spotted an indifferent look despite blood slowly dripping out of his nostrils.

Wilford on the other hand, had already passed out from too much blood loss the moment Amelia's nips came into his line of sight.

"Ah, the wonders of teenage youth. Even I was not spared from having a bloody nose…" Blake sighed helplessly.
