Looking at my status, several things had happened. The first is that I levelled up, nice. Some skills levelled up also, nice. My new skills are there, good. I have a new [Title] called [Boss Slayer], which I most likely got from killing that boss, as well as a huge chunk of EXP for killing it.

'Wait what?' Undead don't have souls, but a boss monster would be the only thing that could've had so much EXP for my soul. 'Whatever, there's no way I'll ever find out why I got so much EXP so I'm better off not dwelling on such an issue.'

Back to the main issue at hand, I need a skill that can rid me of this rotting energy in my body, which looked like grey patches all over my tail and covered my fingers.

I figured that my [Aura] would be able to help somehow on an instinctual level, but I'm not sure how to utilize it to do so. Hmm...

...

'Hmm...'

[Bloodline:] [-]

[Bloodline Suppression: LvL. -/-] [Bloodline Aura: LvL. -/-] [Bloodline Manifestation: LvL. -/-] [Lust Flame: LvL 4] [Elemental Aura: LvL. 3] [Elemental Scales: LvL. 2] [Regeneration: LvL. 2]

Maybe I can use my bloodlines to purge the rot from my body? It's worth a try.

Concentrating on my [Bloodline Aura], I hold it inside of myself and direct the Aura to one of the rotting patches closest to me. It was a slow battle but I eventually managed to repel the rot to a certain degree, although it was very slow and ineffective in the long run.

'Perhaps I should combine it with some of my other Bloodline skills? But which ones should I choose?'

"Hmm..."

"Everything okay?" Cythistia asked me, startling me slightly.

'Everything's okay, just trying to combat this rot.' I replied in runes.

"Com... bat? The rot?" She muttered, confused by my statement.

'Yeah, just trying to overpower and expel it from my body. I did find a method but it's slow, like really slow, too slow to be actually effective.' I explained.

"H-Huh? Wait, wait, wait, wait. You can expel the rot?" She inquired

I nodded, perplexed as to why she was asking this.

"But I thought you said yourself that it must either be cut off or burned off of whomever is infected. How are you doing it without doing that?" She inquired further.

I squinted my eyes and thought about it for a second. But a wave of agony assaulted my lower body and my hands, causing me to wince in pain.

"Sorry! Sorry! I lost focus for a second there." Cythistia cried out as she resumed casting her magic on me.

The relaxing feeling returned once more as I went back to thinking about her question. The reason I said what I said was because that's what I was taught by my father, but on an instinctual level, I feel that I can use my own power to expel it.

So that's what I told her.

She sighed and responded, "...You really are special."

I looked up at her tired face, befuddled.

"Hahhh." She sighed and then began speaking her thoughts. "When we first met, and we had our 'late night fun' I could feel something different about you, even before I found out about my pregnancy. And as we got to know each other and learn more about one another, that feeling grew. That attack you used to kill that boss basically confirmed that you are special. And I don't mean just to me or anyone here or in Athenela, but to the world itself. I feel that your existence will one day shake the world."

I just stared at her with a stupor on my face after listening to what she just said, unable to believe she had such a lofty view of me.

I don't think I'll ever be able to reach such a height in my life. I know that the upcoming war with the humans will make my existence known to the surrounding territories, but not the world.

But for now, I don't need to be or do any of that, I just need to make those I care about happy. And also, expel this rot in my body.

Looking back at my skills, I resumed using my [Bloodline Aura] to passively fight back against the rot while I figured out a way to hasten this process. 'I guess combining it with my [Regeneration] will help? Maybe?'

I did that and actively channelled my [Regeneration], and it actually worked, maybe not much but it certainly helped speed things up by a fair bit. But although it helped, it would still take a while to get rid of all the rot infecting me.

And then an idea struck me as I looked at my bloodline skills. [Bloodline Suppression] is a skill that suppresses other bloodlines, but what if I did the reverse for myself?

'Can I even do that? Might as well give it a shot.'

I activated my [Bloodline Suppression] skill at about five percent, then tried to inverse the effects.

It took about half an hour but I managed to do it. And gained a new skill out of it also.

[Ding!]

[You have gained the [Bloodline Empowerment] Skill!]

And with that, I used it in full force along with the other two skills I was using, and it worked a treat. It was able to increase the speed at which I purged the rot by tenfold at the minimum, and even better, it worked alongside my new [Feral Instincts] skill, allowing me to not have to pay attention and it would soon be gone from my body.

But I wanted it gone as soon as possible so I focused my willpower into doing so and withing another hour I was able to completely heal myself and purge the rot from my body.

[Ding!]

[You have learned the [Death Resistance] Skill!]

[You have levelled up the skill; [Regeneration: LvL 2] by two, and [Feral Instincts: LvL. 1] by one.]

Nice~
