2 Ch-2

[ Two Months later ]

This is my third month of my new life and I have shed once more reaching the length of 0.6 meters.

My fat reserves have almost run out so i'll head to hunt for some more prey. Upon exiting the nest the sharp rays of the sun hit me this is my first time seeing daylight in this new world.

I don't want to stray too far from my nest so I only circled around my nest for 50-70 meters after which I picked up a egg yolk like scent.

I headed towards the scent and upon travelling for 15 meters or so I climbed a tree and found a bird nest with 3 chicks and one very small chick which was being bullied by its siblings. I bit all three bigger chicks one by one so by the time I swallow one the rest would be dead.

After eating the bigger chicks I left the runt Who'll probably now receive the full attention of its parents, make no mistake it was not out of sympathy that I left the runt but simply I was too swollen to eat anymore.

I left for my nest to sleep once more.

[ 5 Months later ]

For the past few months I have maintained a routine of only going out and scavenging bird nests in my area during early day hours when the parents leave their chicks in search of food. I am now 8 months old and have reached a length of 0.9 meters long.

Although I twice the size when I was born i'm still very scared to go out as I know I would panick very quickly if I accidentally meet a predator.

Hunger beckons me to go out in search of food, I left in the early day hours as I usually do and today I had decided to eat the runt of the litter that I left alive a few months back.

Apon reaching the tree where its nest was located a shadow Suddenly pounced on me and snatched me up.

The bird resembled a falcon with a crest on its head. I wanted to panick as this would be my last day alive, but I was paralyzed as if dead.

The falcon like bird brought me to its nest where I could see the runt I had spared all those months ago, it had grown even fatter then its now deceased siblings due to getting all the care of its mother.

Bloody bastard I spared you and now you want to eat me Although I basically spared you to eat you later but still how dare you.

The mother bird puts her clawed feet on my head but while doing so she left my tail go free and immediately seizing the opportunity I lifted my tail and strangled her neck which caused both of us to fall down.

After crashing down the tree pain ran through my body but it was nothing that I couldn't manage where as the mother bird broke her wing.

You fool now its your turn to die

I quickly crawled towards her and bit her neck and used my body to strangle her, even though venomous snake don't use this approach I had to do it to quickly end her life.

After swallowing the mother bird who died quickly due to my venom and strangulation I headed towards my nest since this was the biggest meal I had it also made me unusually slow.

I managed to reach my nest safely and without thinking much went to sleep.

[ 4 Months later ]

Today i'm one year old and I have reached a length of 1.2 meters, its the normal length king cobras reach within a year and since im still young i'll grow more quickly but as I age my growth will also slow down.

I nearly lost my life but atleast that stupid bird allowed me to live longer and grow larger. Its clear to me that the only way for me to get stronger it simple to live long enough and eventually outgrow all my competition.

Since im much bigger then before I'll also have to look for water before I could get all my hydration from my prey not anymore unless its a larger animal.

Luckily there is decent size underground water source near my nest which I discovered my accident while trying to expand my nest to accomudate my growing size. So now I don't have to look anywhere else and put myself in danger.

[ 3 years later ]

Today's my fourth year in this world, time does fly quickly if all your doing is eating and sleeping.

I have reached a length of 4.2 meters and my scales have turned black with some brownish patterns, my underbelly is mostly white but a also a bit yellowish.

Now I roam 1 kilometer around my nest since i have grown much bigger over the years. I have discovered that this world has many exotic sort of plants and vegetation not found on earth Although the wildlife I have been able to observe is mostly like the once you have on earth but slightly different like have you ever eaten a no use with bat like wings or a 6 legged squirrel.

There are larger animals like bears, boars and even monkeys that are green for some reason but I don't go near any larger animals and monkeys don't approach me at all as if they know im venomous.

My life is a simple one all I do is eat and sleep and the bit of excitement comes when im hunting.

But something peculiar happened a few days back something that has shaken me to the very core of my being. It happened while I was raiding a bird's nest I picked up some heavy vibrations that shouldn't be possible for a regular animal to make and to make matters worse it was close.

My vision is limited to 100 meters only as after that it gets blurry but the creature that made those vibrations was out of my visison. It was getting close. My instinct told to me stay still and I listened. I can't hear very well but I know at this moment the jungle was quiet.

The being came into my vison, I could see it but it couldn't see me as I was high up on the tree but what I saw reminded me of the legends we have on earth.

A human ?

Not a human

Too big??

The beast stood on two legs, it had two arms, long red hair, it was hairy, It wore a crudley made leather skin cloth around its waist. It had a wide waist and lanky build. It had white skin with yellowish teeth. It seems like a human at first but the problem was it was 4 meters tall.

It had 6 digits on ita hands and legs and on Its back it carried a fully grown brown bear as it were a lamb. Around his waist two dead boars were hanging which has their skulls smashed.

This thing or you can say this goliath wasn't a vegetarian.

It left as quickly as it came, I waited for a full hour on the tree making sure that the goliath didn't turned back. After which I quickly left for my nest.

People think it would be soo cool if monsters existed, monsters that could end you just by stepping on you or devour you alive. The thing is that there is a foodchain and in front of that beast im just a worm. The only way to go up on a monstrous foodchain is to become a monster yourself.

I envy that goliath, you know why because he can walk around as if he is the lord of the forest without a care in the world. Then there is me someone who almost died to a bird.

I don't want to become a lord or boss that commands everyone who nobody can oppose but I just want to live without cowering in fear.

This feeling of oppression is not something i'll ever forget.
