Chapter 9.
Nick found a door with the words "Archery Club" above it so he pushed it open to find a big room filled with about 50 students all of which were looking around signifying that they were as new to Archery as he is.The strange thing though was there was no equipment lying around or on the empty shelves.An Older lady who looked in her early 50s with black Mop hair and brown eyes that appeared to be a teacher walked in just a minute after and said"Hello students and welcome to the Archery Club.I am Miss Brayton and will be your club supervisor/advisor.Here we will first do exercises that will help us to learn how to use a Bow and Arrow for about a year before we ever hold any."
As soon as she said that,about more than half the students left to go join some other club."Hello Miss Brayton.My name is Edward Milton and I am sure you just said that to weed out the weak right?"and she shook her head saying"No I didn't.I meant every word of it."
After that Edward and two other students left leaving them 12 students in the club."Okay for the rest of you remaining here,please tell me why you'd like to join my club.And just to make it clear,that's not a request."
"My name's Sam and I joined cause I was bored and archery has always seemed fun to me.",a boy with dark blue highlights on the top part of his hair while the rest down was black with a piercing on his eyebrow and right under his lip and silver shrugging eyes with a weird accent said.
"So then who's next?",the teacher asked and nobody seemed like they wanted to go."Okay let's do this,everyone apart from Sam should get a paper and write their reason for joining this club and whether you can do it or not will be my club's tryouts.Hand it in tomorrow and also try to socialize with each other since it doesn't look Iike you wanna with me.",she said as she left the room leaving the students all by themselves.
"Hi you unholy comrados,I'm Hillary and I'm gonna be the student head of this club.",a girl with hazelnut hair and a mole on her nose said blasphemously.
"Nice to meet you,I'm Hiruko Amado and I joined because archery has always been in my family so my parents decided that I should practice it.",a japanese nice looking girl said.From there they went on and on with their names and reasons for joining till it was Nick's turn.
"Hello.My name's Nick Alexander and my reason for joining is the same as Sam's.",he said."Ohhh,nice to meet you mate.",Sam said as him and Nick highfived.After that they all went to their classes and Nick had a triple Geography which he enjoyed till it was break time.He walked out of his class as soon as the bell rang and went to Sabrina's class to find her chatting with her friends and he walked up to them and said"Sorry ladies but can I borrow her for recess today?" and one of her friends said"Sure,she's all yours." with a mischievous tone as Sabrina looked at her annoyedly.
She stood up taking her bag and walked to the field with Nick so they could share their break meals.They reached into the field and found a nice spot to sit in."So what would you like me to help you with first?",Nick asked and she replied"Actually you could just come to my house later do now we could just chat."
"Sure so got any topics to talk about?",Nick asked and she nodded her head as she got her container out of the bag."Let's talk about our clubs."So Nick told her all about the Archery Club which was pretty lame then she told him about the Swimming Club."I met so many nice seniors that gave me some nice tips that helped me ace the tryouts.The swimming pool is so big and beautiful.Our club's matron says that practice starts tomorrow."They talked about more about random topics and gave their numbers then it was class time."I'll text you my address now so don't be late.We'll meet at 6:00pm sharp.",Sabrina said as she started walking away.Nick looked in thought for a second then he caught up to her and said"Yeah sure but be prepared to do nothing else for the whole day after I come around."She nodded then they walked to the hallway and parted their ways each one going to their individual classes.
Later on when Nick had reached home,he took a shower then straight from it went on his phone to find Sabrina had sent him a message on Whatsapp.'Hey'.'So um when you come,stay for dinner.My father insists'.He then replied to her and texted'Sure,I'll let my family know'.He picked a nice set of clothes to wear which were these long maroon indian shorts that you'd see in something like Sally Bollywood or some animes,black Vans and a short sleeved white t-shirt with black paint designs on it in the front.
He grabbed his schoolbag and dumped out all of his notebooks and textbooks then from the pile picked up two textbooks labeled History and Math.He put them back in the schoolbag,closed it then went downstairs where he met with Zhakari in the living room who was watching a show he liked about a bespectacled boy who could use lightning and evil giants on Netflix as he ate an apple."Hey Zhakari,tell Aunt and Uncle that I'll take lunch at my friend's house today so I'll be home alittle late.",Nick said and Zhakari nodded but asked"Does this friend happen to be Sabrina?"and Nick responded with"Yes it is.She needs tutoring and asked me for help."
After that,Nick walked out and ended up on the street then walked to her home for about 30 minutes.He rang the doorbell and she answered saying"Great.You're already here so let's get started."She then grabbed his arm and led him into the magnificently beautiful house with two storeys and silver laced all over the wall with all the furniture also having silver along with everything else but the food and couch.She kept leading him as they went up the stairs then she opened a white door and said"Welcome to my room.",looking all excited and boisterous.
