Nabh Rathod was desperate... Desperate for Power, for opportunity, for wealth But..... More than anything He yearned for a chance to relive his youth to do what he could have done to be something more, but he did not As the Legendary Indian saying goes "भगवान के घर देर है,अंधेर नहीं"(There is a delay in god's house, not darkness) So, come with me and let us all witness firsthand what fate and destiny have stored for Nabh. I am excited to present my first book, which I wrote entirely on my own. While you're here, you may also notice that I have two other books on my profile, but those were just me testing out AI technology. If you enjoyed my book, please consider giving me a Power Stone to show your support. Rest assured that all rights to this work belong to me. As many authors say, English is my second language, and I am proud to have made this first attempt at writing a book. And I'll upload 1-2 chapters daily but not on Sunday so I don't get burnout(if you know what I mean)

Chapter 2, hahaha At least I got saved from making a foolish wish.

Infinite darkness was all he could feel, but why was he only able to feel and not see? Well, that was because he couldn't feel his body anymore. It was as if the concept of a physical body had become foreign to him, and he didn't like that. It was like being trapped in a dreamless dream, but far crueler because you can wake up from a dream, but what if this had become his new reality?

That was what he was feeling now as if someone had numbed his body and placed him in a room filled with darkness. However, there was an inexplicable sense of freedom in it, a feeling he couldn't quite describe. It was as though he no longer needed to worry about anything because he wasn't foolish enough to believe he was still alive. He knew he was dead, and it had been some time since that had happened, his death, that is.

He was unable to notice the flow of time as he couldn't quite put a finger on it. It felt like an hour had gone by, but at the same time, the forbidden feeling of knowing that the hour could also be a day, a year, or a decade haunted him. Who knows how much time has passed since then? But he started to embrace this feeling. It was as though the stressful past of his couldn't haunt him anymore. He no longer had to endure his boss's nagging and annoying voice. He didn't need to give his parents false hope, and he didn't have to live that miserable life. Even though he knew deep down that he alone was responsible for his pathetic lifestyle, he denied it as that reality felt distant and unimportant now.

I mean, who would like to know that the reason for their failure in life is themselves? Nobody would want to face the truth that every action they've taken is coming back to haunt them. Just like that, he was going through a phase of denying the very thought that he couldn't forget.

It was as if a voice from deep within him kept telling him repeatedly that he was a failure—a failure as a human being, a failure as a son who could only lie to his parents, knowing what his parents had gone through to provide him with a comfortable life. He knew that his father had experienced sleepless nights just so he could sleep with peace of mind, buying him fashionable trendy clothes while never indulging in anything for himself. He felt like a failure as a son who had given his family false hope just to make them feel better.

Or else his ego would have been hurt, right? Right. His ego, which was so hollow that he needed lies to bolster it, would have been seriously wounded. I mean, knowing that life was essentially giving him the middle finger, and yet still having that ego, how could he ever tell his parents that their son was a complete and utter failure? His feelings would have been hurt if his father had said something about it, or was it truly his ego, and that was stopping him?

Or was it knowing that the feeling of happiness his parents were experiencing was so precious to him that he could never tell them the truth? Just like his friend Akash had told him about his own parents bragging about his job in their community, their faces lit up with big smiles. He couldn't bear to take that happiness away, even if it meant telling a hundred lies. He would tell those lies if it meant his parents could be happy.

But still, this guilt, this denial that he couldn't give them anything, was eating away at his consciousness. He had come to realize this a long time ago. Even if he was as unattractive as can be, it would only be his mother who would tell him he was handsome and call him her cute little boy, even when he was in his late twenties. Mothers were creatures that even gods must obey, or so it seemed. Isn't it true that even the gods themselves place the position of a mother as high as heaven? At least in our Hindu religion, they tell us that mothers deserve the utmost respect, followed by fathers, then gods, and finally, teachers. But he couldn't help but think that this must be true in many religions, as the love of a mother is often selfless and unconditional. How could someone love another so much and not expect anything in return? How could someone cry more for you than you cried for yourself when you were hurt? well, That's the nature of a mother.

His father, who had never in his entire life spoken to him like he was his own blood. It was as if his father was meant to act like a father, not speak like one. His father had never spoken to him about inspiration or motivation, but he knew that if he ever fell, he would find his father standing there, unmoving as mountains. His father might have been strict, but he made him feel his physical and mental presence, which was like knowing that even if he fought the world head-on, even if everyone was against him, he would find his father there for him, supporting him as he had done from the very moment he was born.

He would have never spoken that lie if not for his parents continuously calling him and asking about his well-being, and his situation there, inquiring if everything was alright with him every time they called, even offering him money for support. How could he tell them that he had lost everything in just two months of coming here? How could he admit that he couldn't even find a job that paid well, and the ones he did find paid so little that it felt like a slap in the face, to his dreams? It made him feel empty inside. How could he let them know that? So, he told them a lie because he knew they were allowing the worry about his well-being to consume them.

How could he let them know that the world was far crueler than he thought? Here, you had to build your own opportunities to achieve success. Just dreaming big would never make you big. To become a person worth mentioning by others, you had to forge your own path.

As Nabh contemplated these thoughts and became absorbed in his guilt and denial, he started to lose himself to these thoughts, blocking himself from outside interference. Unbeknownst to him, his very being, his very soul, was traveling to God knows where in this darkness.

The being spoke to itself, finally finding something interesting in his eons-worth of existence. He examined Nabh's past, and his very being intrigued him. What he was witnessing was not possible, but it wasn't entirely impossible either. A very long time ago, they had decided that as more and more multiverses were being born, they were unable to keep track of them all.

So, they created systems for everything, such as the multiverse system to keep track of multiverses, the reincarnation system for reincarnating souls, and the karma system to judge a person's karma. However, there was one person who was not mentioned anywhere due to some glitch. The thing he thought would bring him enjoyment just gave him more work. So, he sighed mentally and waved his hand in front of him.

Suddenly, as if someone had lifted the veil of darkness from Nabh, his consciousness found itself in the Singular Realm.

Nabh felt as if every thought came to a halt in the presence of this being, which appeared both feminine and male simultaneously. It was as if the being was composed of light, yet he could also discern its face and body simultaneously, leaving him thoroughly perplexed. He couldn't decide how to perceive the being before him. With the knowledge that he was dead, he began to wonder if the being was going to judge him.

As if understanding his thoughts, the being before him spoke with a magnetic voice that once again interrupted his train of thought and left him utterly stunned.

As if prompted, Nabh suddenly knelt down and touched his head to the floor in a gesture of deep respect for the being before him. He couldn't help but wonder about the significance of being personally invited into the majestic presence of a supreme being and what issues this being had mentioned earlier.

Hearing this, Nabh was shocked to his core. He couldn't help but think, "Was all the suffering I had gone through, all the failures I had to face, meant nothing? Even when knowing my life was a complete shithole, knowing that even at the age of 36, I had nothing but was still struggling to live, did it really mean nothing?" With a wry smile, he asked, "So what will happen now? Am I going to Yamlok for lying to everybody?"

The being, upon hearing this, laughed.

The being, hearing this, laughed and responded,

Nabh, feeling confused about all these system-related matters, found the idea of making a wish quite unexpected. However, he now had the opportunity to make a wish that could potentially change everything. With a hopeful tone, he asked, "Can you make it so that my parents can live without being sad about me? Can you make them happy, so happy that they will even forget about me? Can you do that?"

As if that was the cue, he suddenly started feeling like drifting into a deep sleep, and his consciousness began slipping from the being's hold, traveling back to his own time and space.
