Chapter 3.

*Wait, wait, wait! Am a child again?* I thought.

Well, I was reincarnated. I looked up at the woman(more like girl), who was my mother. She had very long and red hair, a very beautiful woman.

"He-he..." The lady who I guess helped in bringing me into the world said startled as she covered her mouth in fear.

*Huh?* I thought as my mother kept me very close to her chest.

*Oh yeah. That's more like it.* I thought, grinning.

"Why does he have that crest?" The nurse asked.

*Huh? What crest now?* I thought.

"Please, don't tell anyone about this, I'll take him and leave the village as soon as possible." My mother said, her voice shaking.

*Is the crest really that bad?*

"Your dad will be here soon, I think you should leave right now." The lady said, looking away.

*Hey, now, won't that be bad for someone who just delivered?*

"Thank you." My mother said she stood up and wrapped me in a white cloth.

It wasn't long before she took off with me. We went through the back and into a forest.

"Roxy!!!!!!!" I heard someone shout as my mom looked back, fear written all over her face.

She then started running with me.

*Huh? Was that her dad?* I thought, trying to look back, but I couldn't.

Well, yeah, she soon got tired and fell. She did her best to protect me while falling. It was already dark by the time we had gone far away from the village and found a cave.

She breathed heavily before looking at me with a smile.

"Am so sorry dear, seems like I've caused you trouble." She said, planting a kiss on my cheek.

*Ha... That's nice.* I thought, trying to grab her face with my tiny hands.

"Shoto, that'll be your name." She said, smiling as we walked into the cave.

She then spread a clothe on the floor and laid me there.

*She really looks young.* I thought as I heard her chanting some incantations.

*Argh!! Is that a fire?!* I thought as a pile of dry wood began burning.

"This would keep us warm tonight." She said before lying beside me.

*This isn't just another world. It's a world of magic.* I thought, smiling.

"Oh, what's making you smile? Were you cold before?" She asked, smiling at me as I giggled.

*I'll become a very important person in this world, maybe... THE GREATEST MAGICIAN. Wait, was that what those weird men were talking about? Argh! They totally picked random stuff for me.* I thought, rolling on the floor.

"Oh, be careful now." She said, bringing me closer to her.

*Hmm? Am feeling sleepy.* I thought.

"Goodnight, dear." She said, kissing my head.

The next day, I opened my eyes slowly and didn't see my mom beside me.

*Eh, has she left me?* I thought, trying to stand.

*Ohh, I can actually stand.* I thought, trying to walk, but fell back on my butt and felt something.

*Yeah, I am still a baby.* I thought crying.

"Natsuo!!" She shouted, running into the cave.

She grabbed me immediately when she got in. She then removed the clothes she wrapped me in and wrapped me in a different one.

Turns out she went out early to find something to eat. She also got some water with a can she had earlier.

She took me out to the lake nearby, did some stuff, and the other before pouring some water on me. The end product was warm water.

After bathing me with the warm water, she kept me inside and went to have her bath. Then she gave me some milk.

*She really got some tricks, I wonder if I'll be able to perform some of those.* I thought as she put her finger into my hand while smiling.

*Ha... I wish I can just grow faster.* I thought, giggling as I held her finger tighter.

After resting for a while, we continued our journey.
