Meeting the Cullens 4

Paul just didn't know that Alice loved him and that Irina was willing to break up with him as soon as he left, and Paul would leave someday to witness the history of movies and books, after all, immortal life was boring and Paul wouldn't miss this interesting event.

Paul couldn't know this, but Edward, who was curious and read minds, already knew what Irina thought about Paul, so Edward knew their relationship was doomed to end, so Alice would be happy.

Edward only told Alice what he found out because he didn't want his siblings to fight with him for reading Irina's mind, Alice was relieved and happy to know that if she waited a few more years she could finally be with her companion.

In fact, if the Denali coven weren't part of the Cullen family, Alice would have tried to be with Paul and break up Paul's relationship with Irina, after all, she knew they would end anyway.

Alice preferred to be able to be with Paul for the next 12 years than to wait for her family to move again to be with her companion, but Alice knew she had to contain herself.

Edward and Edythe asked their siblings not to tell Carlisle and Esme that they used their abilities to see Irina's mind and that they were investigating their relatives' relationship.

The Cullens would stay with the Denali coven for a few weeks, during which time Alice wanted Paul to at least notice that she liked him. Irina wouldn't feel jealous as she didn't love Paul.

So after a few days, Paul finally realized that Alice liked him. He wasn't someone who didn't notice things normally, but because he knew the story, it was hard to imagine that Alice would like him.

Paul knew that Alice should wait for her companion and maybe have a vision with her companion, Paul didn't think it was possible that Alice had fallen in love with him and that he was her companion.

But as Paul realized that Alice liked him even when she saw him with Irina, Paul thought it was possible by knowing her history and personality through the books, Paul was confused about what to do about it.

If Alice thought he was her mate, then it was strange that Paul didn't feel a great love for her like in the movies, Paul felt something different when he saw Alice, but he thought it was because he liked her personality in the movies.

In addition to Paul's situation with Alice, he soon became friends with Emmett and Jasper, who hoped that Paul would soon join their family and treated Paul like a brother, and Paul was happy to have new friends like that.

Rosalie and Edythe didn't like Paul that much, and they had to stay away from him to prevent Alice from getting closer to him and making Irina angry, it was less strange that in a house with more women, Rosalie and Irina would get closer to Paul.

Paul was excited about the idea of playing a baseball game with vampires, he remembered liking to watch it in the movie, he just didn't know how someone could get a third strike in such a game.

"I think it's a great idea, it's been a long time since we played, we can take advantage of being far from the city to play without worrying about attracting human attention," Alice said.

As Emmett suggested and Alice agreed, the Cullens who always played baseball in storms because of Emmett accepted, Carmen and Eleazar also accepted to play because of Paul, and Irina also agreed and soon everyone was on board.

"Okay, we can play, but how are we going to divide the teams? If it's our family against Tanya's family, it won't be fun," said Carlisle.

"Alice has to be on my team, she's the only one of us who can get a strike as the pitcher," said Emmett.

"I've played baseball before when I was human, I'm a great pitcher too, I want to see if I can get a strike against a vampire," said Paul.

"Very well, the two pitchers have been chosen, we can form the teams now. I'm with Alice, Edward, and Edythe are the fastest, so Edward will be on my team, and Edythe on Paul's team," said Emmett, starting to divide the teams.

"Well, if that's the case, then we have to have three people from Tanya's family on Emmett's team, so it will be fairer," said Carlisle.

Tanya wanted to be on the same team as Edward, Kate, and Carmen also went to Emmett's team to balance things out, Esme, Irina, Carlisle, Edythe, Eleazar, and Jasper were on Paul's team.

"Well, with two teams of 7 vampires, I don't think a Home Run can happen, but we're not in a hurry, it can be a longer game like this," said Esme.

Soon the two teams went to a place that still had dirt in the middle of the snow, the vampires quickly cleared the snow around and made the markings of the field that was much larger so that the vampires could run.

Esme and Tanya were the catchers, Edward and Edythe, who were faster, were in the left field of each team, Emmett and Eleazar were in center field, Jasper and Kate were in right field, Carlisle and Carmen were at first base, Irina and Rosalie were at third base.

As the game was about to start, the two teams started getting excited, the game would be long and they would have to be quick to prevent the vampires from occupying all the bases.

Alice's team would start pitching, after all, Paul still had to get used to the baseball played by vampires, which was different. Paul was also the last to bat on his team, and he was excited about the game.
