1 Chapter One: Mother And Son.

Konto overlooks thousands of survivors, while in some sort of trance.

A person walks up to Konto, kneeling on one knee and bowing.

"Your majesty, Subject Zero wishes to speak." The person says, startling Konto. Clearing her throat, she looks at the person with a glare of annoyance but keeps it to herself.

"I understand, Subject Five. send him here." Says Konto, waving at the person to get them to go away. "Yes, your majesty." Subject Five nods, standing back up and saluting, then walking away.

Konto rests her head in her hand in exhaustion, rubbing the bags under her eyes while going back into the trance. After a few minutes, Subject Five arrives with Subject Zero.

Subject Five goes off to the side, as Subject Zero takes a step forwards.

"You must be tired, Your majesty." Subject Zero says, noticing Konto's eyebags.

"Yes, I am. I haven't been able to catch up on sleep since those bastards attacked. We're lucky to have gotten this many people out, the losses are immeasurable." Konto says, looking at Subject Zero.

"I'm sure it's Subject Thirty and Subject Two's death that has bothered you the most. They were your most loyal companions, some of the only people that are willing to talk to you informally." Subject Zero says.

"What is this about, Subject Zero?" Konto avoids beating around the bush, Subject Zero looks hesitant to respond, "I'm just worried for you, Your majesty. Out of the ten thousand civilians that have survived and hundreds of other Subjects that survived, you have taken it the hardest." Subject Zero responds.

"I have a duty, I will get my people to safety if it's the last thing I do." Konto responds, looking at Subject Zero. "Your majesty..." Subject Zero says, worried for Konto. "I have a duty too, your Majesty. And that is to take care of you, your Majesty." Subject Zero says.

Konto lifts her hand, biting her fingernails while looking down at the civilians. "It must be pitiful, Subject Zero. To see me in such a state." Konto says.

"Yes, it is, your majesty. But that is why I will always stay by your side, your majesty. I Swear on my soul." Subject Zero says. Subject Zero walks up to Konto, laying her head on his chest.

"You can't do everything alone, your majesty." Subject Zero says the two sit down, "If I was my mother, I wouldn't be struggling so much right now." Konto says.

"You're you, your majesty. I never knew your mother, no one alive has except for you, but one thing is for certain. If you were your mother, we wouldn't be alive right now. Remember when we hatched? I don't, but as a child, you constantly told me the story about how I kept trying to eat you. every time you did, you had the biggest smile on your face. If you were your mother, you wouldn't have created us. You may want to be your mother, but you are our mother. You always will be, your majesty." Subject Zero says.
