Kicked Out

Maria Fontana, a blonde beauty in her late forties sat with her husband, Bryan Fontana in their Mercedes discussing what they would do one of their daughters. Well, Maria's unwanted daughter Sapphire. As far as Bryan was concerned, he just had one daughter and son who were born one year before Sapphire.

His wife had cheated on him when she had caught him in the act with his secretary in his office. It was a payback that had led to an unwanted pregnancy. Bryan let her keep the baby. It's the least he could do.

What he didn't know was that Maria had contacted the father of the child who was five years her junior. She thought that she could milk him some money, but it all went south when the father said that he wanted full custody of the child since he had already seen through her schemes. Maria tucked tail and run with the baby back to her husband. She figured she could punish the father of the child by mistreating her unwanted daughter.

Maria always thought money, she already had a husband with properties and businesses worth at least a billion dollars but she never seemed to be satisfied. It was known in their social circle that she was the self proclaimed queen. So, it came with no surprise that she cheated on her husband with a much younger and wealthier man than her husband only for it to backfire right to her face. When she went to find him with a little baby in tore, she was shameless enough to ask for a hefty sum of money as child support each month. The one thing she did not expect was the young man to ask for full custody of the child and absolutely no strings with her. In simple terms, he wanted to take the child but himself with no help from her. Maria did not agree to those terms and opted to disappear with the child to make him suffer. Even though the young man had all resources necessary to locate he decided to let keep the child because he could not stand separating the mother from the child at infancy especially because the child was a baby girl. A decision he would come to regret in the preceding years.

"We should wait till she hits eighteen then kick her out, unless she does something unforgivable." Bryan said with his hard tone meaning it was the end of the discussion.

"OK." Maria had no other choice than to agree. She did not want to feel the wrath of her husband especially since his company, Fontana enterprises had not been making any profits in the last couple of weeks.

"Sir, it seems that we have a problem." Their driver Dante, a handsome Italian man who always treated Sapphire like a little sister told them.

Bryan cursed when he noticed his pool house on fire. He got out of the car and barrelled his way his wife not far behind wobbling with her ridiculous heels. Dante thought it was funny and let out a small chuckle. He clearly knew how much Maria valued her looks, and tried as had as she could to remain young, which was working by the way, but he was sure her endless botox procedures would catch up to her soon.

"What's the meaning of this?" Bryan boomed.

Summer ran to her father crying hysterically while Sapphire just stood there waiting for judgement. It was judgement day after all. She wondered if Summer could summon her tears to fall at any moment she pleased because she clearly wasn't crying ten seconds before her father showed up.

"Oh, daddy Sapphire set the house on fire. She was just jealous that mom said she would gift me her rug from Greece."

"What?" Sapphire was dumbfounded

Bryan turned his angry gaze to Sapphire. He knew what he had to do. "Pack your trash and leave within the next 10 minutes. I've put up with you long enough."

Sapphire looked at her mother hoping that she would for once show her she cared, but the hope went down the drain when she uttered her next words.

"I wish I had gotten rid of you as soon as I found out I was pregnant. You are lucky we are not calling the cops on you." He mother sneered.

Hunter was not any better, he literally threw her to the wolves. "I've always wondered why you kept her this long." He said with a blank face.

Sapphire decided to take the risk see if he cares even a little. "Hunter, I'm pregnant."

There was a collective gasp from everyone around.

Hunter refused to believe her, he would not ruin his future full of riches for a bastard.

"How long?" He asked

"Four weeks." Sapphire answered quietly on the verge of tears.

"You little slut, isn't that when you were sneaking around with that nerd friend of yours Kevin?" Hunter sneered. "That bastard is not mine."

Sapphire was proven right, he never cared. She shrugged her shoulders turned and went all the way to her room. She had already packed a duffle bag as if she could see this day coming. She had a little money served up so she would be fine for a couple of weeks.

Sapphire went out of the house she once called home. As if she had not had enough it started to pour heavily.

She thought the rain to be a blessing since she was finally out of that terrible home.

Sapphire was just half a mile away when a car pulled up next to her. It was Alec's.

"Get in." Sapphire had no other choice but to climb into the car.

The one thing she never expected was for Alec to hug her and apologise for all the things he hadn't done to protect her. He promised her that he would be always there for her and her baby.

Sapphire thought that she would never feel a brothers love, but she did now.

All hope was not lost after all.
